The concept of Multidisciplinary approach is not new to Medical Science. It is an evolving concept that is widely appreciated and adopted in most of the disciplines of medicine. It’s rational and applicable in the management of Child and Adolescent Depression,which needs to be revisited focusing on the interplay of various contextual factors that are entwined and tend to affect the course of the illness. The limitations of any one mental health professional in envisioning all possible dimensions of Child and Adolescent Depression mak. this approach all the more important wherein Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatric Social Work.rs collaborate with each other and other allied professionals in the treatment and management of the disorder. India, being a heavily populated country, where multidisciplinary management approach is in a phase of expansion and is practiced in many leading institutes to meet the quality needs of patients. This article focuses on the Indian scene of multidisciplinary management approach in child and adolescent depression.

Recharge and vulnerability assessment of groundwater resources in North west India:Insights from isotope-geospatial modelling approach

Recent studies indicate dwindling groundwater quantity and quality of the largest regional aquifer system in North West India,raising concern over freshwater availability to about 182 million population residing in this *** agricultural activities have resulted severe groundwater pollution in this area,demanding a systematic vulnerability assessment for proactive *** vulnerability assessment models encounter drawback. due to subjectivity,complexity,data-prerequisites,and spatial-temporal *** study incorporates isotopic information into a weighted-overlay framework.to overcome the above-mentioned limitations and proposes a novel vulnerability assessment *** isotope methodology provides crucial insights on groundwater recharge mechanisms(18O and 2H)and dynamics(3H)-often ignored in vulnerability *** characterisation of precipitation helped in establishing Local Meteoric Water Line(LMWL)as well as inferring contrasting recharge mechanisms operating in different *** aquifer(depthk.rnel Density Estimate(k.E)and isotope correlations.A weighted overlay isotope-geospatial model was developed combining 18O,3H,aquifer permeability,and water level *** central and northern parts of study area fall under least(0.29%)and extremely(1.79%)vulnerable zones respectively,while majority of the study area fall under moderate(42.71%)and highly vulnerable zones(55.20%).Model validation was performed using groundwater NO3-concentration,which showed an overall accuracy up to 82%.Monte Carlo Simulation(MCS)was performed for sensitivity analysis and permeability was found to be the most sensitive input parameter,followed by 3H,18O,and water *** the vulnerability map with Land Use Land Cover(LULC)and population density maps

Synthesis and evaluation of novel analogues of mangiferin as potent antipyretic

Objective:To screen different analogues of mangiferin pharmacologically for antipyretic activity. Methods:The naturally occurring xanthone glycoside mangiferin was isolated by column chromatography from the elhanolic extract of stem bark.of Mangifera *** was further converted to 5-(N-phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin.5-(N-p-chlorophenylamino methyleno) mangiferin,5-(N-2-methyl phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin.5-(N-p-methoxy phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin.5-(N,N-diphenylamino methyleno) mangiferin,5-(N-α-napthylamino methyleno) mangiferin and 5-(N-4-methyl phenylamino methyleno) mangiferin *** synthesized compounds were further screened for antipyretic activity along with mangiferin at a dose level of 100 and 200 tng/*** and its analogues were characterized by melting point and R_f value determination and through spectral technique lik. UV,IR,and NMR spectral ***:The antipyretic activity of mangiferin as well as all analogues was found to be more significant in at higher dose ie.200 mg/k. which was depicted thmugh a decrease in rectal temperature up to 3 ***:The antipyretic activity of mangiferin and its analogues may be attributed to inhibition in synthesis of TNF-αand anti-oxidant activity associated with amelioration of inflammatory actions of cytok.nes.
