In this study, we combined silver nanowires with cupro fabrics using a dipping- drying method to prepare electrically conductive fabrics. The silver nanowires were first adhered to and then absorbed by microfibers to form electrically conductive fibers. They also filled the gaps and spaces between the microfibers, and were stack.d or piled together to form network. with high electrical conductivity. The electrically conductive fabric had low resistance and good stretchability, e.g., 0.0047-0.0091 Ωin the strain range of 0-190%. They also exhibited stable electrical conductivity, as well as excellent flexibility, which remained even when the fabric was stretched, shrunk. or bent. The results show that the electrically conductive fabric can be used as a smart textile, especially in fields associated with weaving, clothing, food products, lifestyle products, medicine, biology, electronics, aviation, and military equipment and accessories.

By ECH under a steady By field, a closed field equilibrium of a low aspect ratio as low as R/a = 1.4 is spontaneously formed in the LATE device. After the spontaneous formation, the plasma current has increased further up to Ip = 7.2 k. by 2.45 GHz, 30 k. and Ip = 11 k. by 5 GHz, 120 k., by increasing the microwave power with a slow ramp of By for the equilibrium of the plasma loop at larger currents. Both amount to 12% of the total toroidai coil current. ECH/ECCD at 2nd harmonic resonance of EBW supports the plasma. An outline of the theoretical considerations for the formation process is presented.

As the number of automobiles continues to increase year after year,the associated problem of traffic congestion has become a serious societal *** to mitigate this problem have considered methods for optimizing traffic volumes in wide-area road network.,and traffic-flow simulation has become a focus of interest as a technique for advance characterization of such *** of models commonly used for traffic-flow simulations include microscopic models based on discrete vehicle representations,macroscopic models that describe entire traffic-flow systems in terms of average vehicle densities and velocities,and mesoscopic models and hybrid(or multiscale)models incorporating both microscopic and macroscopic *** traffic-flow simulations are designed to model traffic systems under a variety of conditions,their underlyingmodelsmust be capable of rapidly capturing the consequences of minor variations in operating *** other words,the computation speed of macroscopic models and the precise representation of microscopic models are needed ***,in this study we propose a multiscale model that combines a microscopic model—for detailed analysis of subregions containing traffic congestion bottleneck. or other localized phenomena of interest-with a macroscopic model enabling simulation of wide target areas at a modest computational *** addition,to ensure analytical stability with robustness in the presence of discontinuities,we discretize our macroscopic model using a discontinuous Galerk.n finite element method(DGFEM),while to conjoin microscopic and macroscopic models,we use a generating/absorbing sponge layer,a technique widely used for numerical analysis of long-wavelength phenomena in shallow water,to enable traffic-flow simulations with stable input and output regions.

Experiments on formation of spherical tok.mak.(ST) plasmas by electroncyclotron heating (ECH) alone without a central OH solenoid have been carried out on LATE (LowAspect ratio Torus Experiments). By injecting a 2.45 GHz microwave pulse of 6.3 k. for 4 seconds, aplasma current is initiated and ramped up to I_p approx= 3 k., and finally maintained for 1 secondby adjusting the external vertical field. Magnetic measurements show that closed flux surfaces areformed and the last closed flux surface has an aspect ratio of A ～ 1.3 and an elongation of κ～1.3. The electron density measured by an interferometer is more than 1.5 x 10^(11) cm^(-3) whichexceeds twice of the plasma cut-off density, suggesting that electron cyclotron heating bymode-converted electron Bernstein waves may tak. place.

It is reported that laser-processing is effective to repair the heat check., which are fine shallow crack. on a surfaceof die-casting dies. In this study, the rotating bending fatigue tests have been carried out to evaluate the fatiguecharacteristics of laser-processed hot work.ng tool steel. Because test results are scattered, S-N curves are decidedbased on the evaluation of fatigue strength distribution. As a result, the fatigue strength of the laser-processedspecimens decreases remark.bly in comparison with that of base metal. However, it can be recovered to almostinitial value by heat treatment at secondary hardening temperature. This procedure is also effective to decrease thescatter of fatigue strength. The laser-processing can be carried out at low cost and this method is effective for theextension of the work.life of dies.

The purpose of this review is to discuss the advantages and limitations of taste sensors in the evaluation of the taste of palatability of different oral dosage forms. First, we consider some ways in which the palatability of various pharmaceutical formulations including orally disintegrating tablets(ODTs) are tested using two different taste sensors. Second, we focus on the evaluation of palatability of ODTs. We compare the usefulness of three pieces of apparatus for estimating the disintegration time of ODTs. Finally, we compare the characteristics of the two taste sensors in the evaluation of palatability of various k.nds of drug formulations.

Electron orbits under the external vertical field （Bv） and the self poloidal field of the toroidal plasma current in a toroidal geometry are investigated by using analytic model fields in order to search for the conditions of occurence of appropriate confinement asymmetry of fast electrons along the field lines. This asymmetry efficiently and quick.y generates a toroidal current, which may close the field lines in ECH-started plasmas. It is analytically shown that the characteristics of confinement asymmetry depend on the product of the major radius and the strength of the external vertical field. The results suggest that in large devices By should be lowered and also some artificial means to speed up the pitch angle scattering for the fast electrons at a higher energy range are beneficial to generate the toroidal current in order to close the filed

Back.round Although adhesive strapping(AS)for pediatric umbilical hernia(UH),which was once obsolete,has been reconsidered as a common practice in Japan,its efficacy is still *** study aimed to evaluate its efficacy by reviewing related *** A comprehensive literature search of PubMed,Cochrane,Google Scholar,and Igak. Chuo Zasshi via Ichushi-Web was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses *** studies reporting on the UH closure rate after AS compared with observation-only management were *** A total of 10 cohort studies were included,and the overall UH closure rate was not statistically significant(p=0.31,risk.ratio(RR)=0.76,95%confidence interval(CI)0.45 to 1.28).However,there were significant differences in the UH closure rate at the age of 6 months(pk.n(p=0.049,RR=0.16,95%CI 0.03 to 0.99).Conclusions Although the efficacy of AS on UH compared with observation-only management did not differ in terms of the UH closure rate,the application of AS may be effective for faster UH closure and the prevention of protruding ***,due to the high heterogeneity of the study,further large-scale studies,particularly randomized controlled trials,are warranted to reach a conclusion.
