Study of Air Quality Objectives (AQOs) and long-term changes of air pollution plays a decisive role in formulating and re?ning pollution control *** this study,10-year variations of six major air pollutants were analyzed at seven monitoring sites in Hong *** continuous decrease of annual averaged concentrations of NO2,SO2,CO,PM2.5and PM10and numbers of days with severe pollution conditions validated the ef?ciency of the series of air pollution control schemes implemented by the Hong Kong ***,there is still a big gap to meet the ultimate targets described by the World Health ***,the concentration of O3at roadside and urban stations increased by 135%±25%and37%±18%from 2011 to 2020,respectively,meanwhile the highest 8 hr averaged O3concentration was observed as 294μg/m3at background station in 2020,which pointed out the increasing ozone pollution in Hong *** was a great decrease in the annual times of air quality health index (AQHI) laying in“high”,“very high”and“serious”categories from2011 to 2020 with the decrease rate of 89.70%,91.30%and 89.74%at roadside stations,and79.03%,95.98%and 72.73%at urban stations,***,the number of days categorized as“high”or above at roadside station was twice more than that in the urban station during the past ten ***,more policies and attentions should be given to the roadside air quality and its adverse health effect to pedestrians on street.

With the introduction of 5G technology,the application of Internet of Things(IoT)devices is expanding to various industrial ***,introducing a robust,lightweight,low-cost,and low-power security solution to the IoT environment is ***,this study proposes two methods using a data compression technique to detect malicious traffic efficiently and accurately for a secure IoT *** first method,compressed sensing and learning(CSL),compresses an event log in a bitmap format to quickly detect ***,the attack log is detected using a machine-learning classification *** second method,precise re-learning after CSL(Ra-CSL),comprises a two-step *** uses CSL as the 1st step analyzer,and the 2nd step analyzer is applied using the original dataset for a log that is detected as an attack in the 1st step *** the experiment,the bitmap rule was set based on the boundary value,which was 99.6%true positive on average for the attack and benign data found by analyzing the training *** results showed that the CSL was effective in reducing the training and detection time,and Ra-CSL was effective in increasing the detection *** to the experimental results,the data compression technique reduced the memory size by up to 20%and the training and detection times by 67%when compared with the conventional *** addition,the proposed technique improves the detection accuracy;the Naive Bayes model with the highest performance showed a detection rate of approximately 99%.

AIM： To examine the gene expression profile of gastric cancer （GC） by combination of laser capture microdissection （LCM） and microarray and to correlate the profiling with histological subtypes. METHODS： Using LCM, pure cancer cells were procured from 45 cancerous tissues. After procurement of about 5 000 cells, total RNA was extracted and the quality of RNA was determined before further amplification and hybridization. One microgram of amplified RNA was converted to cDNA and hybridized to cDNA microarray. RESULTS： Among 45 cases, only 21 were qualified for their RNAs. A total of 62 arrays were performed. These included 42 arrays for cancer （21 cases with dyeswab duplication） and 20 arrays for non-tumorous cells （10 cases with dye-swab duplication） with universal reference. Analyzed data showed 504 genes were differentially expressed and could distinguish cancerous and non-cancerous groups with more than 99% accuracy. Of the 504 genes, trefoil factors 1, 2, and 3 were in the list and their expression patterns were consistent with previous reports. Immunohistochemical staining of trefoil factor 1 was also consistent with the array data. Analyses of the tumor group with these 504 genes showed that there were 3 subgroups of GC that did not correspond to any current classification system, including Lauren＇s dassification. CONCLUSION： By using LCM, linear amplification of RNA, and cDNA microarray, we have identified a panel of genes that have the power to discriminate between GC and non-cancer groups. The new molecular classification and the identified novel genes in gastric carcinogenesis deserve further investigations to elucidate their clinicopathological significance.

Magnetic metals deposited on graphene hold the key to applications in spintronics. Here, we present the results of Fe islands grown on graphene/Si C(0001) by molecular beam epitaxy, which are investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy. The two types of islands distinguished by flat or round tops are revealed, indicating bimodal growth of Fe. The atomic structures on the top surfaces of flat islands are also clearly resolved. Our results may improve the understanding of the mechanisms of metals deposited on graphene and pave the way for future spintronic applications of Fe/graphene systems.

Atoms in the coherent superposition state prepared by a pulse pair are used as a novel optical memory material where a single interrogation pulse will produce a new pulse pair preserving the relative amplitudes and phases of the preparing pulse pair. Such a coherent superposition state can also be specially tailored along the propagation path to generate Raman scattering in a relatively short distance with very high efficiency.

Yellowhorn （Xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge） is a drought-tolerant tree in the family Sapindaceae that is native to northeastern China. Its remarkably oil-rich seeds are a reliable biodiesel source. An inter simple sequence repeat （ISSR） analysis showed genetic variation among four artificial populations in China： two in Inner Mongolia （IM）, one in Liaoning （LN）, and one in Shandong （SD）. The average percentage of polymorphic loci was 81.25 % for these four populations. The Forest Farm in SD showed the highest number of effective alleles （Ne）, Shannon index （I）, and expected heterozygosity （He）, i.e., 1.598, 0.470, and 0.325, respectively, but the lowest number of alleles （Na） as 1.600. Based on an analysis of molecular variance, 23 % of the total genetic variation was found among populations, and 77 % within populations. A principal coordinate analysis revealed two groups （Group 1： Lindonglinchang, Jianping Agriculture Research Station and Forest Farm; Group 2： Jinjilinchang）. Understanding the genetic diversity among artificial yellowhorn populations in China, detected using ISSRs, will be useful for yellowhorn conservation and improvement. Additional arti-ficial and natural populations need to be included in the future for a country-wide perspective.
