Symmetry-aware recursive image similarity exploration for materials microscopy

In pursuit of scientific discovery,vast collections of unstructured structural and functional images are acquired;however,only an infinitesimally small fraction of this data is rigorously analyzed,with an even smaller fraction ever being *** method to accelerate scientific discovery is to extract more insight from costly scientific experiments already ***,data from scientific experiments tend only to be accessible by the originator who knows the experiments and ***,there are no robust methods to search unstructured databases of images to deduce correlations and ***,we develop a machine learning approach to create image similarity projections to search unstructured image *** improve these projections,we develop and train a model to include symmetry-aware *** an exemplar,we use a set of 25,133 piezoresponse force microscopy images collected on diverse materials systems over five *** demonstrate how this tool can be used for interactive recursive image searching and exploration,highlighting structural similarities at various length *** tool justifies continued investment in federated scientific databases with standardized metadata schemas where the combination of filtering and recursive interactive searching can uncover synthesis-structure-property *** provide a customizable open-source package(https://***/m3-learning/Recursive_Symmetry_Aware_materials_microstructure_Explorer)of this interactive tool for researchers to use with their data.

In this work,the entropy functions of ideal quantum gases in a three-dimensional harmonic trap are analytically calculated using temperature as an explicit ***,the applicability of the analytical formulas is validated by comparison with the numerical *** results illustrate that the obtained functions could be applied for the whole temperature regime with a maximum relative deviation of less than 7.5%in the vicinity of the critical temperature Tcin the case of Bose ***,for Fermi gases,although the analytical formula fits well at very low-and high-temperature regimes,it cannot be applied at temperature in the range[0.3-0.5]T_F,where T_F is the Fermi *** addition,the consistency between our formulas and classical ones at significantly high temperatures is also discussed.

Synthesis of n-(phenylcarbamothioyl)-benzamide derivatives and their cytotoxic activity against mCF-7 cells

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death both in developing countries and across the *** Indonesia,cancer ranks as the fifth primary cause of death following heart disease,stroke,respiratory tract and ***,studies on thiourea derivative compounds as anticancer agents have been profoundly conducted but still require further continuous *** the present study,we aimed to synthesize new anticancer compounds of n-(phenylcarbamothioyl)-benzamide derivatives,namely n-(phenylcarbamothioyl)-4-bromobenzamide and n-(phenylcarbamothioyl)-4-fluorobenzamide compounds and assess their activities against mCF-7 breast cancer *** initial step was to predict the drug-receptor activity through docking between the tested compounds using epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)(PDB code: 1 m17).The compounds were futher synthesized from the reactions between benzoyl chloride derivatives and *** structures of the new compounds were identified using FTIR,~1 H nmR,13 C nmR and mass *** cytotoxic activities(IC_(50)) to breast cancer cells of mCF-7 n-(phenylcarbamothioyl)-4-bromobenzamide compound and n-(phenylcarbamothioyl)-4-fluorobenzamide were 0.27 mm and 0.31 mm,*** two new compounds had better cytotoxic activities than those of the current hydroxyurea-based anticancer drugs(the reference compound) with an IC_(50) value of 9.76 ***,these two new compounds were not toxic to Vero normal ***,they possessed tremendous potentials as the candidates for new drugs against breast cancer.

Somatic embryogenesis is an asexual reproduction process that occurs in many plant species,including *** process contains several totipotency markers such as Somatic Embryogenesis Receptor-like Kinase(SERK),Leafy Cotyledon1(LEC1)and WUSCHEL-Related Homeobox4(WOX4)and also a helpful model for embryo development and clones and ***,we report the gene expression during somatic embryo development correlates with regeneration frequency in 14 Javanica rice(pigmented and non-pigmented)using modified n6 media supplemented with Kinetin(2.0 mg/L)and nAA(1.0 mg/L).Although there have been advances in understanding the genetic basis of somatic embryogenesis in other varieties,rice is still unexplored,especially during somatic embryo ***,for the formation of callus induction from immature embryos,2,4-D(2.0 mg/L,3.0 mg/L)was *** study analysed the gene expression of OsSERK,OsWOX4 and OsLEC1 genes through RT-PCR *** expression of the OsLEC1 gene indicates that their function may correlate in the in vitro with the high response of rice after transfer to regeneration *** study found that rice varieties of pigmented rice(mS Pendek and Gogoniti II)and non-pigmented rice(Pandan Ungu)showed high regeneration frequency,showing higher OsLEC1 expression than other varieties because OsLEC1 promotes the maturation of somatic embryos in plant regeneration on day ***,the contrast with Genjah nganjuk may be effective because of other regulatory ***-PCR analysis showed OsSERK had less expression level than OsLEC1 and OsWOX4 in the varieties,which correlate with the percentage of plant regeneration,but not for Gogoniti *** conclusion,the higher percentage of plant regeneration correlates with the higher expression level of OsLEC1 at day 14 of media regeneration of rice.

Synthesis and anticancer evaluation of n-benzoyl-n’-phenyltiourea derivatives against human breast cancer cells(T47D)

new anti-breast cancer compounds have been found and may prove to have stronger *** predict the activities of n-benzoyl-n’-phenylthiourea(BPTU)derivatives,namely n-(3-chloro)benzoyl-n’-phenylthiourea(3-Cl-BPTU)and n-(3,4-dichloro)benzoyl-n’-phenylthiourea(3,4-2 Cl-BPTU)with Sirtuin-1 receptor(PDB code:4 I5 I),molecular docking was conducted at the beginning of this *** compounds were then synthesized from benzoyl chloride derivatives and *** structure was confirmed using FTIR,1 H nmR,13 C nmR and mass Spectra,while the anticancer activity was tested in vitro against human breast cancer cells(T47 D)using mTT *** results indicated that the anti-cancer activities of the test compounds were better than those of the hydroxyurea as the reference compound,evidenced by the Rerank Score(RS).Furthermore,cytotoxic effect of 3-Cl-BPTU(IC50:0.43 m m)and 3,4-dichloro-BPTU(IC50:0.85 m m)showed better result compared with hydroxyurea(IC50:4.58 m m).Therefore,we concluded that these compounds could possess termendous potential as the candidate for a new anticancer drug.

Objective: To investigate the antioxidant, antibacterial, antimalarial activities and cytotoxicity of the n-hexane, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, and aqueous fractions from a crude extract of Lobophytum ***: This organism was collected from the Selayar Islands(South Sulawesi). The antioxidant activity was performed by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl radical scavenging method. All fractions from the crude extract of Lobophytum sp. were examined for their cytotoxicity using the brine shrimp lethality bioassay and heme polymerization inhibitory activity assay for antimalarial ***: It was found that the ethyl acetate, n-butanol and aqueous fractions exhibited heme polymerization inhibitory activity with IC_(50) values of 11.7, 14.3 and 12.0 mg/m L,respectively, while the n-butanol fraction showed moderate antioxidant activity and cytotoxicity with IC_(50) values of 150.00 and 92.74 mg/m L, ***: This study provides information on antioxidant, antibacterial and antimalarial activities as well as the cytotoxicity of all fractions from the crude extract of Lobophytum sp. This is a new report of antimalarial substances derived from Lobophytum sp.

Improvement of Critical Heat Flux Performance by Wire Spacer

In order to investigate the coolability of a tight lattice core in BWR （boiling water reactors）, an experiment of CHF （critical heat flux） was conducted using a single heater pin flow channel with and without a wire spacer with the mass flux ranged from 200 kg/（m2.s） to 600 kg/（m2·s）, the inlet temperature from 50 ℃ to 90 ℃ at the pressure of 0.1 mPa. The results of CHF values were compared between two different types of heater pin with and without the wire spacer. The heat removability of flow channel was improved by the wire spacer in comparison with the heater pin flow channel without the wire spacer. The CHF value was higher in the heater pin channel with the wire spacer than in that without the wire spacer.
