The mechanical properties of the Mg97Zn1Y2 extruded alloy containing the long-period stacking ordered phase,the so-called LPSO-phase,with a volume fraction of 24%-25%,were examined by compression tests and cyclic tension-compression deformation *** plastic behavior of the extruded alloys with compositions of Mg99.2Zn0.2Y0.6 and Mg89Zn4Y7(molar fraction,%) ,which were almost the same compositions of Mg matrix phase and LPSO phase in Mg97Zn1Y2 Mg/LPSO two-phase alloy,respectively,were also *** comparing their mechanical properties,the strengthening mechanisms operating in the Mg97Zn1Y2 extruded alloy were *** of the LPSO-phase strongly enhanced the refinement of Mg matrix grain size during extrusion,which led to a large increment of the strength of *** addition,the LPSO-phases,which were aligned along the extrusion direction in Mg97Zn1Y2 extruded alloy,acted as hardening phases,just like reinforced fibers.

A long-term field experiment on organic material application and crop rotation with green manure crops has been conducted since 1976 at Lopburi Agricultural Research and Development Center,Department of Agriculture,Lop Buri Province,Thailand,to clarify the effect of organic materials and green manure crop on soil organic carbon *** stock change factors that stand for the relative change of soil organic carbon on the carbon stock in a reference condition(native vegetation that is not degraded or improved).Stock change factor for input of organic matter(F1),representing different levels of C input to soil such as organic material application,crop residue treatment and green manure crop cultivation,was computed with the present field experimental *** the computed F1 of"High input with manure"was within the range of IPCC default F1 value,some of the computed F1 of"High input without manure"was much higher than the IPCC default though it was varied due to the biomass production and nutrient contents of the green manure crops planted as the second crops after ***,the F1 computed by field experimental results can contribute to more accurate estimation of SOC changes in farm land especially in Southeast Asia because the default F1 mostly depends on the experimental data in temperate ***,the field experiment has focused the effect of reduced tillage practices on SOC changes and corn yield since *** results of the experiment will be used to compute Stock change factor for management regime(FMC)which represents the effects of tillage operations.

Absence of asymptomatic unruptured renal artery pseudoaneurysm on contrast-enhanced computed tomography after robot-assisted partial nephrectomy without parenchymal renorrhaphy

Objective:To assess the incidence of asymptomatic unruptured renal artery pseudoaneurysm(RAP)on contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CE-CT)after robot-assisted partial nephrectomy(RAPN)without parenchymal ***:From May 2016 to December 2017,78 patients underwent RAPN for renal *** suture was performed in the opened collecting system or renal sinus,whereas parenchymal renorrhaphy was *** hemostasis,the soft coagulation system was used,and absorbable hemostats were placed on the resection ***-CT was carried out within 7 days after *** on these patients were prospectively collected.A single radiologist determined the diagnosis of ***:Median(range)data were as follows:Patient age,65(19-82)years;radiographic tumor size,30(12-95)mm;operating time,166(102-294)min;warm ischemic time,16(7-67)min;and blood loss,15(0-4450)*** patient(1.6%)required a perioperative blood *** patient required conversion to open surgery or ***-CT was carried out at median 6(3-7)days after ***-CT showed no RAP development in all 61 *** leakage was not *** patient had acute cholecystitis,a postoperative complication classified as Clavien-Dindo grade higher than 3,which was treated with *** surgical margin was identified in four patients(6.6%).Conclusion:RAPN using soft coagulation and absorbable hemostats without renorrhaphy appears to be feasible and *** technique could eliminate the risk of RAP.

Characteristics of Postoperative Bleeding after Neck Surgery

Objective: To review the characteristics of and the procedure for preventing postoperative bleeding after neck surgery. Materials and Methods: A retrospective review of 9 patients (9/893;1.0%) with postoperative bleeding who required reoperation was performed to analyze clinical findings. Results: There was no significant difference in the incidence of bleeding between types of surgical procedures. Postoperative bleeding occurred within 24 hours in all cases except 2, in which it occurred 7 days or more after the operation. Seven cases showed bleeding from the cut surface of the muscle. Other bleeding points included vessels and the Berry ligament. There were no additional complications after reoperation. Conclusion: When separating the muscles in neck surgery, it is important to sufficiently ligate vessels and induce coagulation with an ultrasonically activated scalpel to prevent postoperative bleeding.
