OBSO Based Fractional PID for mPPT-Pitch Control of Wind Turbine Systems

In recent times,wind energy receives maximum attention and has become a significant green energy source *** wind turbine(WT)entered into several domains such as power electronics that are employed to assist the connection process of a wind energy system and *** turbulent characteristics of wind profile along with uncertainty in the design of WT make it highly challenging for prolific power *** pitch control angle is employed to effectively operate the WT at the above nominal wind ***,the pitch controller needs to be intelligent for the extraction of sustainable secure energy and keep WTs in a safe operating *** achieve this,proportional–integral–derivative(PID)controllers are widely used and the choice of optimal parameters in the PID controllers needs to be properly *** this motivation,this paper designs an oppositional brain storm optimization(OBSO)based fractional order PID(FOPID)design for sustainable and secure energy in WT *** proposed model aims to effectually extract the maximum power point(mPPT)in the low range of weather conditions and save the WT in high wind regions by the use of pitch *** OBSO algorithm is derived from the integration of oppositional based learning(OBL)concept with the traditional BSO algorithm in order to improve the convergence rate,which is then applied to effectively choose the parameters involved in the FOPID *** performance of the presented model is validated on the pitch control of a 5 mW WT and the results are examined under different *** simulation outcomes ensured the promising characteristics of the proposed model over the other methods.

In order to achieve a highly accurate estimation of solar energy resource potential,a novel hybrid ensemble-learning approach,hybridizing Advanced Squirrel-Search Optimization Algorithm(ASSOA)and support vector regression,is utilized to estimate the hourly tilted solar irradiation for selected arid regions in ***-term measured meteorological data,including mean-air temperature,relative humidity,wind speed,alongside global horizontal irradiation and extra-terrestrial horizontal irradiance,were obtained for the two cities of Tamanrasset-and-Adrar for two *** computational algorithms were considered and analyzed for the suitability of *** two new algorithms,namely Average Ensemble and Ensemble using support vector regression were developed using the hybridization *** accuracy of the developed models was analyzed in terms of five statistical error metrics,as well as theWilcoxon rank-sum and ANOVA *** the previously selected algorithms,K Neighbors Regressor and support vector regression exhibited good ***,the newly proposed ensemble algorithms exhibited even better *** proposed model showed relative root mean square errors lower than 1.448%and correlation coefficients higher than *** was further verified by benchmarking the new ensemble against several popular swarm intelligence *** is concluded that the proposed algorithms are far superior to the commonly adopted ones.

The Ball and beam system(BBS)is an attractive laboratory experimental tool because of its inherent nonlinear and open-loop unstable *** an effective ball and beam system controller is a real challenge for researchers and *** this paper,the control design technique is investigated by using Intelligent Dynamic Inversion(IDI)method for this nonlinear and unstable *** proposed control law is an enhanced version of conventional Dynamic Inversion control incorporating an intelligent control element in *** moore-PenroseGeneralized Inverse(mPGI)is used to invert the prescribed constraint dynamics to realize the baseline control law.A sliding mode-based intelligent control element is further augmented with the baseline control to enhance the robustness against uncertainties,nonlinearities,and external *** semi-global asymptotic stability of IDI control is guaranteed in the sense of *** simulations and laboratory experiments are carried out on this ball and beam physical system to analyze the effectiveness of the *** addition to that,comparative analysis of RGDI control with classical Linear Quadratic Regulator and Fractional Order Controller are also presented on the experimental test bench.

Traffic prediction of wireless networks attracted many researchersand practitioners during the past decades. However, wireless traffic frequentlyexhibits strong nonlinearities and complicated patterns, which makes it challengingto be predicted accurately. many of the existing approaches forpredicting wireless network traffic are unable to produce accurate predictionsbecause they lack the ability to describe the dynamic spatial-temporalcorrelations of wireless network traffic data. In this paper, we proposed anovel meta-heuristic optimization approach based on fitness grey wolf anddipper throated optimization algorithms for boosting the prediction accuracyof traffic volume. The proposed algorithm is employed to optimize the hyperparametersof long short-term memory (LSTm) network as an efficient timeseries modeling approach which is widely used in sequence prediction *** prove the superiority of the proposed algorithm, four other optimizationalgorithms were employed to optimize LSTm, and the results were *** evaluation results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed approachin predicting the traffic of wireless networks accurately. On the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to emphasize the stability of the proposedapproach.

A linear flexible joint system using fractional order linear active disturbance rejection control is studied in this *** this control scheme,the performance against disturbances,uncertainties,and attenuation is *** active disturbance rejection control(LADRC)is mainly based on an extended state observer(ESO)technology.A fractional integral(FOI)action is combined with the LADRC technique which proposes a hybrid control scheme like *** this FOI action improves the robustness of the standard *** set-point tracking of the proposed FO-LADRC scheme is designed by Bode’s ideal transfer function(BITF)based robust closed-loop concept,an appropriate pole placement *** effectiveness of the proposed FO-LADRC scheme is illustrated through experimental results on the linear flexible joint system(LFJS).The results show the enhancement of the robustness with disturbance ***,a comparative analysis is presented with the results obtained using the integer-order LADRC and FO-LADRC scheme.

Assessment of the Hydrogeochemical Characteristics of Groundwater Resources at some Wadis in the East of El minia Governorate,Eastern Desert,Egypt

The El minia governorate lies within the Nile Valley,surrounded by calcareous plateaus to the east and *** present study focuses on the hydrogeochemistry of the Eocene limestone aquifer at some wadis in the east El minia governorate,Eastern Desert,***,two main aquifers are encountered in the study area,namely the maghagha marly limestone and the Samalut chalky limestone *** maghagha aquifer is composed of alternating layers of marly limestone and shale with thicknesses ranging from 3.49 m to 177.05 m and a groundwater depth ranging from 8.5 m to 59.27 m which reflects low groundwater *** groundwater salinity representing this aquifer ranges from 603.5 mg/L to 978.5 mg/L,reflecting fresh water *** aquifer is made up of chalky,cavernous and fractured limestone with thickness ranging from 30 m to 205 m and groundwater depth ranging from 9 m to 86.77 m,which indicates good groundwater *** groundwater salinity of the concerned aquifer ranges from 349.7 mg/L to 2043.9 mg/L,reflecting fresh to possibly brackish water *** in the study area is of meteoric water origin;recent recharge is mainly controlled through the presence of fractures and their *** majority of groundwater samples in the study area are suitable for drinking and irrigation purposes.

Wind power is one of the sustainable ways to generate renewable *** recent years,some countries have set renewables to meet future energy needs,with the primary goal of reducing emissions and promoting sustainable growth,primarily the use of wind and solar *** achieve the prediction of wind power generation,several deep and machine learning models are constructed in this article as base *** regression models are Deep neural network(DNN),k-nearest neighbor(KNN)regressor,long short-term memory(LSTm),averaging model,random forest(RF)regressor,bagging regressor,and gradient boosting(GB)*** addition,data cleaning and data preprocessing were performed to the *** dataset used in this study includes 4 features and 50530 *** accurately predict the wind power values,we propose in this paper a new optimization technique based on stochastic fractal search and particle swarm optimization(SFSPSO)to optimize the parameters of LSTm *** evaluation criteria were utilized to estimate the efficiency of the regression models,namely,mean absolute error(mAE),Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency(NSE),mean square error(mSE),coefficient of determination(R2),root mean squared error(RmSE).The experimental results illustrated that the proposed optimization of LSTm using SFS-PSO model achieved the best results with R2 equals 99.99%in predicting the wind power values.

The Internet of Things(IoT)is a modern approach that enables connection with a wide variety of devices *** to the resource constraints and open nature of IoT nodes,the routing protocol for low power and lossy(RPL)networks may be vulnerable to several routing ***’s why a network intrusion detection system(NIDS)is needed to guard against routing assaults on RPL-based IoT *** imbalance between the false and valid attacks in the training set degrades the performance of machine learning employed to detect network ***,we propose in this paper a novel approach to balance the dataset classes based on metaheuristic optimization applied to locality-sensitive hashing and synthetic minority oversampling technique(LSH-SmOTE).The proposed optimization approach is based on a new hybrid between the grey wolf and dipper throated optimization *** prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach,a set of experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of NIDS for three cases,namely,detection without dataset balancing,detection with SmOTE balancing,and detection with the proposed optimized LSHSOmTE *** results showed that the proposed approach outperforms the other approaches and could boost the detection *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to study the significance and stability of the proposed *** conducted experiments include seven different types of attack cases in the RPL-NIDS17 *** on the 2696 CmC,2023,vol.74,no.2 proposed approach,the achieved accuracy is(98.1%),sensitivity is(97.8%),and specificity is(98.8%).

Both natural and synthetic peptides are not only biologically important,continuous research and comprehension of these short protein fragments show that they also have multifarious potentials in food manufacturing,namely emulsion-based *** emulsions may basically be oil-in-water or water-in-oil,as well as temporary,semi-permanent,or permanent in a continuous phase that suspends the droplets of the other elements used in food and pharmaceutical industries to formulate products such as gels,creams,ointments,and *** this review,the classification,preparation,and identification of peptides were described,followed by peptide-based emulsion properties and their relationship with regards to stability,structure,solubility,hydrophobicity,foaming,and water holding *** then dovetailed into the release rate and gastric stability of encapsulated peptides in the human digestive system,before exploring further needs and *** is desired that more studies be conducted to define the impact of carrier ingredients selection,encapsulation and processing techniques,environment,and peptides chemistry on peptide-based emulsions to attain high efficacy.
