BACKGROUND Colonoscopy is essential for the diagnosis of intestinal Behcet’s disease(BD),which is characterized by a typical oval-shaped ulcer in the ileocecal ***,potential risks of colonoscopy have rarely been *** SUMMARY Herein,we describe a patient with intestinal BD who presented with decreased oxygen saturation and shortness of breath during a diagnostic *** pneumothorax,pneumomediastinum,pneumoperitoneum,pneumoretroperitoneum and subcutaneous emphysema of the neck,chest,abdomen,back and scrotum were confirmed by computed tomography *** sudden change in condition was considered to be associated with iatrogenic bowel *** receiving closed thoracic drainage and conservative therapy,the patient was discharged in stable *** Endoscopists should be aware of the risks of colonoscopy in patients with intestinal BD and the possibility of pneumothorax associated with intestinal perforation and make adequate preparations before colonoscopy.

Liquid Crystal Elastomers(LCEs)are renowned for their reversible deformation ***,enhancing their mechanical strength while retaining such flexibility has posed a considerable *** overcome this,we utilized 4D printing to develop an innovative composite of LCE with carbon fiber fabric(LCEC).This approach has notably increased the tensile strength of LCE by eightfold,all the while maintaining its exceptional capacity for reversible *** adjusting the alignment angle between carbon fiber and the LCE printing direction from 0°to 90°,the LCEC demonstrates an array of new deformation patterns,including bending,twisting,wrapping,and S-shaped transformations,which are distinct from pure LCE *** study unveils that LCE composites exhibit deformation processes markedly different from their pure material counterparts,with the ability of pure LCE to sustain tensile strains exceeding 1900%.These findings,previously undocumented and unexplored,represent a substantial contribution to the field of smart *** finite element analysis,we explored the carbon fiber and LcE matrix dynamics,revealing bending mechanics in *** combined experimental and simulation approach yields crucial insights for crafting durable,high-strength LCECs with diverse deformational properties,advancing smart material technology.

This work focuses on the development of high temperature polymer electrolyte membranes(HT-PEMs)as key materials for HT-PEM fuel cells(HT-PEMFCs).Recognizing the challenges associated with the phosphoric acid(PA) doped polybenzimidazole(PBI) membranes,including the use of carcinogenic monomers and complex synthesis procedures,this study aims to develop more cost-effective,readily synthesized,and high-performance alternatives.A series of superacid-catalyzed polyhydroxyalkylation reactions have been carefully designed between p-terphenyl and aldehydes bearing imidazole moieties,resulting in a new class of *** is found that the chemical structure of aldehyde-substituted N-heterocycles significantly impacts the polymerization ***,the use of 1-methyl-2-imidazole-formaldehyde and 1 H-imidazole-4-formaldehyde monomers leads to the formation of high-viscosity,rigid,and ether-free polymers,denoted as PTIm-a and *** fabricated from these polymers,due to their pendent imidazole groups,exhibit an exceptional capacity for PA ***,PTIm-a,carrying methylimidazole moieties,demonstrates a superior chemical stability by maintaining morphology and structural stability during 350 h of Fenton *** being immersed in 75 wt% PA at 40℃,the PTIm-a membrane reaches a PA content of 152%,maintains a good tensile strength of 13.6 MPa,and exhibits a moderate conductivity of 50.2 mS cm^(-1) at 180℃.Under H_(2)/O_(2) operational conditions,a single cell based on the PTIm-a membrane attains a peak power density of 732 mW cm^(-2) at 180℃ without ***,the membrane demonstrates stable cycle stability over 173 h within 18 days at a current density of 200 mA cm^(-2),indicating its potential for practical application in *** work highlights innovative strategies for the synthesis of advanced HT-PEMs,offering significant improvements in membrane properties and fuel cell performance,thus expanding the horizons of HT-PE

Background:RNA methylation modifying plays an important role in the occurrence and progression of a range of human cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),which is characterized by a mass of genetic and epigenetic ***,the treatment targeting these alterations is ***:We used comprehensive bioinformatics analysis to analyze the correlation between cancerassociated RNA methylation regulators and HCC malignant features in network ***:We identified two HCC subgroups(cluster 1 and 2),which had clearly distinct clinicopathological,biofunctional and prognostic characteristics,by consensus *** cluster 2 subgroup correlated with malignancy of the primary tumor,higher tumor stage,higher histopathological grade and higher frequency of TP53 mutation,as well as with shorter survival when compared with cluster *** enrichment indicated that the cluster 2 correlated to the tumor malignancy signaling and biological *** on these findings,an 11-gene risk signature was built,which not only was an independent prognostic marker but also had an excellent power to predict the tumor ***:Our study indicated that RNA methylation regulators are vital for HCC malignant progression and provide an important evidence for RNA methylation,methylation regulators are actionable targets for anticancer drug discovery.

Herpes zoster(HZ)also known as shingles is caused by thereactivationof latentvaricella zostervirus(VZV)from the dorsal root ganglia following primary infection[1,2]and is associated with severe disease in immunocompromised pediatric patients[3-6].Immunosuppression has been demonstrated to be related to a higher incidence of HZ[4].The prevalence and clinical features of HZ in the hospitalization of patients who have a history of other medical conditions has been studied[7].

AlN films grown on sputter-deposited and annealed AlN buffer layer by high temperature hydride vapor phase epitaxy(HVPE)have been fabricated and structurally *** crystalline quality and surface morphology of as-grown AlN films with various V/III ratios were studied and *** XRD results showed that the crystalline quality of the AlN film could be optimized when the growth V/III ratio was *** the same time,the full width at half-maximum(FWHM)values of(0002)-and(10¯12)-plane were 64 arcsec and 648 arcsec,*** revealed by AFM,the AlN films grown with higher V/III ratios of 150 and 300 exhibited apparent hillock-like surface structure due to the low density of screw threading dislocation(TD).The defects microstructure and strain field around the HVPE-AlN/sputtered-AlN/sapphire interfaces have been investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)technique combined with geometric phase analysis(GPA).It was found that the screw TDs within AlN films intend to turn into loops or half-loops after originating from the AlN/sapphire interface,while the edge ones would bend first and then reacted with others within a region of 400 nm above the ***,part of the edge TDs propagated to the surface *** GPA analysis indicated that the voids extending from sapphire to HVPE-AlN layer were beneficial to relax the interfacial strain of the best quality AlN film grown with a V/III ratio of 150.

A comparison of the nitrogen sources(N2 and NH3)influence on AlN films grown by high-temperature halide vapor phase epitaxy(HVPE)is *** x-ray rocking curves(XRCs)indicate that the full width at half maximum(FWHM)of(0002)plane for AlN films using N2 as nitrogen source is generally smaller than that using *** microscope and atomic force microscope(AFM)results show that it is presently still more difficult to control the crack and surface morphology of AlN films with thicknesses of 5-10µm using N2 as the nitrogen source compared to that using *** with one-step growth,two-step growth strategy has been proved more effective in stress control and reducing the density of threading dislocations for AlN epilayers using N2 as the nitrogen *** investigations reveal that using N2 as nitrogen source in HVPE growth of AlN is immature at present,but exhibits great potential.

The neuronal differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells offers a new strategy for the treatment of neurological ***,there is a need to identify a noninvasive and sensitive in vivo imaging approach for real-time monitoring of transplanted stem *** previous study confirmed that magnetic resonance imaging,with a focus on the ferritin heavy chain 1 reporter gene,could track the proliferation and differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells that had been transduced with lentivirus carrying the ferritin heavy chain 1 reporter ***,we could not determine whether or when bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells had undergone neuronal differentiation based on changes in the magnetic resonance imaging *** solve this problem,we identified a neuron-specific enolase that can be differentially expressed before and after neuronal differentiation in stem *** this study,we successfully constructed a lentivirus carrying the neuron-specific enolase promoter and expressing the ferritin heavy chain 1 reporter gene;we used this lentivirus to transduce bone marrow mesenchymal stem *** and animal studies showed that the neuron-specific enolase promoter effectively drove the expression of ferritin heavy chain 1 after neuronal differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells;this led to intracellular accumulation of iron and corresponding changes in the magnetic resonance imaging *** summary,we established an innovative magnetic resonance imaging approach focused on the induction of reporter gene expression by a neuron-specific *** imaging method can be used to noninvasively and sensitively detect neuronal differentiation in stem cells,which may be useful in stem cell-based therapies.

China’s coastal wetlands provide breeding,migration stopover,and wintering habitats for about 230 waterbird species,which is more than a quarter of all waterbirds in the ***-scale and high intensity human activities have resulted in serious loss and degradation of coastal wetlands over the past half century,causing population declines in many *** a literature review and expert surveys,this article reviews conservation measures taken in recent decades to protect waterbirds in China’s coastal wetlands and provides recommendations for future conservation action from three aspects:policy and administration,habitat conservation and management,and multiparty *** the past decades,many conservation legislation,regulations and action plans at the national level and more site-specific measures and interventions have been implemented,with notable improvement in the effectiveness in policy making and multi-stakeholder ***,some threats to waterbirds have been mitigated and many key sites for waterbirds have been designated as strictly protected nature ***,some critical issues still remain,mostly related to habitat conservation and management,such as coastal wetland restoration,control of invasive Spartina alterniflora,control of environmental pollution,and improvement of artificial habitat *** highlight that protecting natural tidal wetlands and improving habitat quality are critical for the conservation of coastal waterbirds,especially those highly dependent on the intertidal *** has demonstrated strong commitment to ecological conservation and restoration for the future,in terms of both funding and policies for biodiversity and wetland *** is important that this commitment to conserve coastal waterbirds is supported continuously by science-and evidence-based decisions and actions.
