The recent completion of the rose genome sequence is not the end of a process,but rather a starting point that opens up a whole set of new and exciting *** to a high-quality genome sequence other genomic tools have also become available for rose,including transcriptomics data,a high-density single-nucleotide polymorphism array and software to perform linkage and quantitative trait locus mapping in *** cultivars are highly heterogeneous and *** vast diversity in cultivated roses can be explained through the genetic potential of the genus,introgressions from wild species into commercial tetraploid germplasm and the inimitable efforts of historical *** can now investigate how this diversity can best be exploited and refined in future breeding work,given the rich molecular toolbox now available to the rose breeding *** paper presents possible lines of research now that rose has entered the genomics era,and attempts to partially answer the question that arises after the completion of any draft genome sequence:‘Now that we have“the”genome,what’s next?’.Having access to a genome sequence will allow both(fundamental)scientific and(applied)breeding-orientated questions to be *** outline possible approaches for a number of these questions.

目的探讨糖尿病与非糖尿病成人致死性冠心病的患病趋势。设计队列研究。地点 Nord-Trondelag健康研究（HUNT）的两次调查，以挪威人群为基础的研究。参试者参加第一次（1984—1986）和第二次（1995—1997）调查的人员分别有74914和64829名，包括男性和女性。主要结局评估指标 9年连续随访期间，两次糖尿病与非糖尿病成人的年龄关联冠心病死亡率。结果共计2623名男性和1583名女性死于冠心病。最近随访期中的死亡率显著降低：70～79岁非糖尿病组中，每1000人年死亡男性从16．38下降到8．79（减少48％，95％可信区间为39％～55％），女性从6．84下降到2．68（减少62％，52％～70％）。而同年龄组糖尿病患者中，每1000人年死亡男性从38．97下降到17．89（减少54％，32％～69％），女性从28．15下降到11．83（减少59％，37％～73％）。在基线年龄小于70岁组中减少更为显著，而在80岁及以上组中减少则较小。糖尿病患者其冠心病死亡率比非糖尿病者高2倍多，女性更为显著。在两次调查中，糖尿病状态导致的死亡率基本无差异。结论从第一次到第二次调查中，冠心病死亡率的普遍明显降低对糖尿病患者有益；但糖尿病相关的冠心病死亡率较一般人群高2倍多这一事实并没有随着时间的推移而改变。

Damaging Agents and Tree’s Health Condition in an Urban Forest

Urban trees are subjected to different damaging agents throughout their lifetime. The aims of this study were to identify tree damaging agents, and to obtain a Damage Severity Index (DSI) in order to categorize tree health condition at San juan de Aragon Park. Each tree was identified at species level in 28 randomly established plots in ten sections of the study area. Up to two types of damage were recorded per tree, based on the FIA (Forest Inventory an Analysis Program) protocol, and a DSI was obtained for each damaged tree considering location of damage, nature of the damaging agent and severity. A total of 753 trees were assessed and 12 species and 27 damaging agents were identified. Cankers, galls, the pepper tree psyllid and the red gum lerp psyllid were the most frequent damaging agents. Australian pine, red gum, Mediterranean cypress, Mexican white cedar, and California pepper were the most affected species. The DSI ranged from 3 to 17 and the average was 7.9. Sections j and H and the species California pepper, Australian pine, and Mexican white cedar presented the highest DSI. The tree population had a moderate health condition, while the aforementioned sections and tree species showed the poorest.

As a benchmark for swarm intelligence,the issue of formation task is to investigate how a group of homogeneous robots form a single *** propose a design method for swarm systems to accomplish formation task,and establishes a mathematic model to describe the emergent *** on the model,we analyze some properties of the swarm system such as the attachment rate by computer *** demonstrates that this macroscopic model provides a good mathematic approach to test the performance of multiple robots constructed swarm system.

Transport of heavy metal cations from model solutions across the model phospholipid membranes, which simulated the real cell membrane, has been investigated in our experiments. The transporting processes were affected by the presence/absence of ionophores （calcimycin, nisin, etc.） and by the presence/absence of selected low molecular weight organic acids （LMWOAs）（oxalic, malic or citric acid） at different pH values, which are present in the rhizosphere. The model supported phospholipid membranes were prepared in pores of the polycarbonate membrane. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy has been used to monitor the formation and stability of phospholipid membrane, whereas voltammetric methods were used for detection of species, which are transferred across the membrane. The structure of transported complexes has been investigated using electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.

Species delimitation is one of the most fundamental processes in *** undertakings,for instance,require explicit species concepts and criteria for species delimitation in order to be relevant and ***,a perfect species concept does not exist for ***,we review the species concepts commonly used in Basidiomycota,the second largest phylum of Fungi that contains some of the best known species of mushrooms,rusts,smuts,and jelly *** general,best practice is to delimitate species,publish new taxa,and conduct taxonomic revisions based on as many independent lines of evidence as possible,that is,by applying a so-called unifying(or integrative)conceptual ***,the types of data used vary considerably from group to *** this reason we discuss the different classes of Basidiomycota,and for each provide:(i)a general introduction with difficulties faced in species recognition,(ii)species concepts and methods for species delimitation,and(iii)community recommendations and conclusions.

Progress in neuroscience relies on new techniques for investigating the complex dynamics of neuronal *** ongoing challenge is to achieve minimally invasive and high-resolution observations of neuronal activity in vivo inside deep brain *** introduced methods for holographic control of light propagation in complex media enable the use of a hair-thin multimode optical fibre as an ultranarrow imaging *** to endoscopes based on graded-index lenses or fibre bundles,this new approach offers a footprint reduction exceeding an order of magnitude,combined with a significant enhancement in *** designed a compact and high-speed system for fluorescent imaging at the tip of a fibre,achieving a resolution of 1.18±0.04μm across a 50-μm field of view,yielding 7-kilopixel images at a rate of 3.5 frames/***,we demonstrate in vivo observations of cell bodies and processes of inhibitory neurons within deep layers of the visual cortex and hippocampus of anaesthetised *** study paves the way for modern microscopy to be applied deep inside tissues of living animal models while exerting a minimal impact on their structural and functional properties.
