Seasonal tropical cyclone(TC)forecasting has evolved substantially since its commencement in the early ***,present operational seasonal TC forecasting services still do not meet the requirements of society and stakeholders:current operational products are mainly basin-scale information,while more detailed sub-basin scale information such as potential risks of TC landfall is anticipated for decision *** fill this gap and make the TC science and services move forward,this paper reviews recent research and development in seasonal tropical cyclone(TC)*** particular,this paper features new research topics on seasonal TC predictability in neutral conditions of El Ni˜no–Southern Oscillation(ENSO),emerging forecasting techniques of seasonal TC activity including Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence,and multi-annual TC *** also review the skill of forecast systems at predicting landfalling statistics for certain regions of the North Atlantic,Western North Pacific and South Indian oceans and discuss the gap that remains between current products and potential user's *** knowledge and advanced forecasting techniques are expected to further enhance the capability of seasonal TC forecasting and lead to more actionable and fit-for-purpose products.

Achieving intravital optical imaging with diffraction-limited spatial resolution of deep-brain structures represents an important step toward the goal of understanding the mammalian central nervous system1–*** in wavefrontshaping methods and computational power have recently allowed for a novel approach to high-resolution imaging,utilizing deterministic light propagation through optically complex media and,of particular importance for this work,multimode optical fibers(MMFs)5–*** report a compact and highly optimized approach for minimally invasive in vivo brain imaging *** volume of tissue lesion was reduced by more than 100-fold,while preserving diffraction-limited imaging performance utilizing wavefront control of light propagation through a single 50-μm-core ***,we demonstrated high-resolution fluorescence imaging of subcellular neuronal structures,dendrites and synaptic specializations,in deep-brain regions of living mice,as well as monitored stimulus-driven functional Ca2+*** results represent a major breakthrough in the compromise between high-resolution imaging and tissue damage,heralding new possibilities for deep-brain imaging in vivo.

Species of the Trichophyton benhamiae complex are predominantly zoophilic pathogens with a worldwide *** pathogens have recently become important due to their epidemic spread in pets and pet *** genetic and phenotypic variability has been revealed in these emerging pathogens,but the species limits and host spectra have not been clearly *** this study,we used an approach combining phylogenetic analysis based on four loci,population-genetic data,phenotypic and physiological analysis,mating type gene characterization and ecological data to resolve the taxonomy of these *** approach supported the inclusion of nine taxa in the complex,including three new species and one new *** benhamiae *** ***.(“yellow phenotype”strains)is currently a major cause of zoonotic tinea corporis and capitis in Europe(mostly transmitted from guinea pigs).The isolates of the“white phenotype”do not form a monophyletic group and are segregated into three taxa,*** ***(mostly North America;dogs),*** ***.(mostly Europe;guinea pigs),and *** ***.(predominant in East Asia but also found in Europe;rabbits and guinea pigs).The new species *** *** proposed for the“African”race of *** introduction to new geographic areas and host jump followed by extinction of one mating type gene have played important roles in the evolution of these *** to considerable phenotypic similarity of many dermatophytes and phenomena such as incomplete lineage sorting or occasional hybridization and introgression,we demonstrate the need to follow polyphasic approach in species *** evolving and noncoding DNA regions showed significantly higher discriminatory power compared to conventional protein-coding *** options for species identification in practice based on molecular markers,phenotype and MALDI-TOF spectra are presented.A microsatellite typi

2008年5月12日,汶川特大地震袭击了西藏高原东部边界地区,对中国四川盆地西部的主要城市产生影响,造成数千人死亡。如此之大的地震过后,地壳中应力的重新分布通常会导致随后一系列破坏性地震的发生。5月12日的主震破裂造成龙门山和四川盆地之间的边界高达9m的滑移,呈现了复杂的走滑和逆冲运动。四川盆地及周边地区也被其他走滑逆冲活动断层穿越。在这里,我们提出了使用这些断层模型来计算5月12日地震引起的同震应力变化,并显示出许多显著的应力增加。及时地绘出应力变化图可以帮助找出产生余震可能性相对较高的断层段。

This article outlines the major scientific objectives of the SHui project that seeks to optimize soil and water use in agricultural systems in the EU and China,by considering major current scientific challenges in this ***(for Soil Hydrology research platform underpinning innovation to manage water scarcity in European and Chinese cropping systems)is large cooperative project that aims to provide significant advances through transdisciplinary research at multiple scales(plot,field,catchment and region).This paper explains our research platform of long-term experiments established at plot scale,approaches taken to integrate crop and hydrological models at field scale;coupled crop models and satellite-based observations at regional scales;decision support systems for specific farming situations;and the integration of these technologies to provide policy recommendations through socio-economic analysis of the impact of soil and water saving *** also outlines the training of stake-holders to develop a basic common curriculum despite the subject being distributed across different disciplines and *** such,this article provides a review of major challenges for improving soil and water use in EU and China as well as information about the potential to access information made available by SHui,and to allow others to engage with the project.

This project defined changes in soil properties after construction of subsurface tile drainage. We compared the physical and chemical properties of soil samples taken before construction of drainage and new soil samples taken from identical sites at present. The research was made for Stagnic Cambisols (Dystric) and Haplic Stagnosols. The pH value and saturation of the topsoil sorption complex of both soil types statistically increased and simultaneously the cation exchange capacity (CEC) decreased. In the topsoil of Stagnosols, the effective cation exchange capacity and porosity also decreased, and at the same time the particle density and bulk density increased. Soil organic matter and minimum air capacity increased in the topsoil of Cambisols. Porosity and minimum air capacity increased in both soils in the subsoil. In the Cambisol subsoil, the CEC and bulk density decreased. We can assume that after drainage Stagnosols are susceptible to soil compaction, especially in topsoil.
