The existing systems sustained with the investments made require more automation and digital transformation with the continuous advancement of *** aviation industry is a sector that is open to more automation and digi-tal transformation,mainly because of the intense competition and the analysis of a large variety of *** long duration of operations in current airline processes and some processﬂows cause customer dissatisfaction and cost *** this study,the boarding process,which is one of the operational processes of airline transportation and is open to improvement,was *** classical boarding process has been redesigned using Internet of Things technology a model called Boarding 4.0 was *** Boarding 4.0,it is aimed to design a process where passengers can take their time before boarding more efﬁ*** the study,the sub-processes of the Boarding 4.0 model,other processes that the sub-processes interact with,their activities,and data exchange passenger move-ments during the activities are explained in *** to the classical boarding process and Boarding 4.0 with the fuzzy ahp technique,it has been shown that boarding 4.0 is more advantageous and passenger movement times can be reduced during *** a result of the evaluation made with the fuzzy ahp,it was determined that boarding 4.0 is more advantageous than the classical boarding *** addition,when the total time of the sub-activities in the board-ing process is calculated,boarding activities for a passenger take 50 min with the classic boarding process and 20 min with Boarding ***,when Boarding 4.0 is used,the passenger gains 30 ***,when the calculation is made concerning the airport’s current capacity,two passengers are hosted with the clas-sical boarding process,whileﬁve passengers are hosted with Boarding *** acquisition is signiﬁcant for airports in terms of efﬁcient use of resources.

The growing interest to examine the hydroelastic dynamics and stabilities of lightweight and flexible materials requires robust and accurate fluid–structure interaction（FSI）models. Classically, partitioned fluid and structure solvers are easier to implement compared to monolithic methods;however, partitioned FSI models are vulnerable to numerical（“virtual added mass”） instabilities for cases when the solid to fluid density ratio is low and if the flow is *** a partitioned method, the loosely hybrid coupled（LHC）method, which was introduced and validated in Young et al.（Acta Mech. Sin. 28：1030–1041, 2012）, has been successfully used to efficiently and stably model lightweight and flexible structures. The LHC method achieves its numerical stability by, in addition to the viscous fluid forces, embedding potential flow approximations of the fluid induced forces to transform the partitioned FSI model into a semi-implicit scheme. The objective of this work is to derive and validate the numerical stability boundary of the LHC. The results show that the stability boundary of the LHC is much wider than traditional loosely coupled methods for a variety of numerical integration schemes. The results also show that inclusion of an estimate of the fluid inertial forces is the most critical to ensure the numerical stability when solving for fluid–structure interaction problems involving cases with a solid to fluid-added mass ratio less than one.

Objective:To examine the effect of the COVID-19 virus,especially the Omicron variant,on hematological parameters of hospitalized pediatric patients during the COVID-19 ***:Medical records of pediatric COVID-19 patients hospitalized at kartal Dr.Lütfi k?rdar City Hospital in Istanbul,Turkey,between March 2020 and May 2022 were retrospectively reviewed to analyze data regarding demographics,SARS-Co V-2 infection polymerase chain reaction(PCR)test results,reversetranscriptase(RT)-PCR for other respiratory agents,duration of hospital stay,and hematological and biochemical laboratory ***:Out of 467 children with a confirmed diagnosis of SARSCo V-2 infection,94(20.1%)had Omicron infection and 373(79.9%)were infected with other variants;the Omicron group had younger patients than the remaining samples(Plung involvement in the Omicron group(10.6%)was significantly lower than in the remaining samples(29.8%)(Plung involvement,those with lung involvement were significantly older(Plusions:Although lung involvement was less common with Omicron infection,this group had greater hematological system involvement,such as anemia,lymphopenia,D-dimer elevation,and coagulation disorders.

Objective:To examine the effects of human bocavirus type 1(HBoV1)on the course of lower respiratory tract infections in cases of monoinfection and coinfection,and the effects of HBoV1 viral load on the disease in children under six years old hospitalized with a diagnosis of HBoV1-associated lower respiratory tract ***:Children under six years of age,who were hospitalized with the diagnosis of lower respiratory tract infection due to HBoV1 between 1 January 2021 and 1 January 2022 were included in the *** confirmation of the respiratory pathogens was performed using polymerase chain reaction(PCR).Results:Fifty-four(16.4%)children with HBoV1 among 329 children whose PCR was positive with bacterial/viral agent in nasopharyngeal swab samples were included in the *** were 28(51.9%)males and 26(48.1%)females with a median age 23.4 months[interquartile range(IQR):13.2,30.0 months](min-max:1 month-68 months).HBoV1 was detected as a monoinfecton in 26(48.1%)children,and as a coinfection with other respiratory agents in 28 children(51.9%).In multiple regression analysis,coinfection(P=0.032)was associated with the length of hospitalization(Plusions:Although we found a higher HBoV1 viral load in children with more cough symptoms in our study,it had no effect on the severity of the disease,such as length of hospital stay and need for intensive *** was found to affect the length of hospitalization.

BACkGROUND The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic had a significant impact on the management of all *** diseases such as cancer have a higher risk of COVID-19-related *** this fact,any delay or alteration in treatment of cancer may have fatal *** carcinoma(HCC)is an aggressive liver cancer that requires multimodality treatment to improve *** To evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the management of patients with HCC by determining changes in demographic,clinical and histopathological *** Demographic,clinical and pathological variables of patients with HCC who had undergone liver transplantation between March 2020 and June 2021(Pandemic group,n=48)were retrospectively compared with that of the patients with HCC transplanted between November 2018 and March 2020(Pre-pandemic group,n=61).RESULTS The median age of the patients in the study was 56(interquartile range=15).Ninety-seven patients(89%)were male and 12 were female(11%).The most common etiology of liver disease was hepatitis B virus(n=52,47.7%).According to our results,there was a 21.3% drop in the number of patients transplanted for *** was no difference in the demographic,clinical and pathological characteristics of the patients except blood alkaline phosphatase levels(P=0.029),lymphovascular invasion(P=0.019)and type of the liver graft that was transplanted(P=0.017).CONCluSION It is important to develop a surveillance strategy for liver transplant *** liver transplantation for HCC is justified and safe provided that strict surveillance protocols are applied.

The development of immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapies has been instrumental in advancing the field of immunotherapy. Despite the prominence of these treatments, many patients exhibit primary or acquired resistance, rendering them ineffective. For example, anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (anti-PD-1)/anti-programmed cell death ligand 1 (anti-PD-L1) treatments are widely utilized across a range of cancer indications, but the response rate is only 10%-30%. As such, it is necessary for researchers to identify targets and develop drugs that can be used in combination with existing ICB therapies to overcome resistance. The intersection of cancer, metabolism, and the immune system has gained considerable traction in recent years as a way to comprehensively study the mechanisms that drive oncogenesis, immune evasion, and immunotherapy resistance. As a result, new research is continuously emerging in support of targeting metabolic pathways as an adjuvant to ICB to boost patient response and overcome resistance. Due to the plethora of studies in recent years highlighting this notion, this review will integrate the relevant articles that demonstrate how tumor-derived alterations in energy, amino acid, and lipid metabolism dysregulate anti-tumor immune responses and drive resistance to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy.

Synthesis and thermoluminescence properties of rare earth oxides (Y, Ce-lu) doped lithium triborate

Lithium triborate （LiB3O5） was synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction method, and then rare earth oxides were doped into LiB3O5 to enhance its thermoluminescent （TL） properties. The identification and characteristics of the obtained compounds were determined by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） analyses, differential thermal analyses （DTA） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The glow curves were obtained using a thermoluminescent （TL） reader. The results revealed that all the rare earth oxides were not good activators for lithium triborate and the obtained compounds could not be used for dosimetric applications.
