We present and compare twoﬂexible and effective methodologies to predict disturbance zones ahead of underground tunnels by using elastic full-waveform *** methodology uses a linearized,iterative approach based on misﬁt gradients computed with the adjoint method while the other uses iterative,gradient-free unscented Kalmanﬁltering in conjunction with a level-set *** the former does not involve a priori assumptions on the distribution of elastic properties ahead of the tunnel,the latter intro-duces a massive reduction in the number of explicit model parameters to be inverted for by focusing on the geometric form of potential disturbances and their average elastic *** imaging methodologies are validated through successful reconstructions of simple *** an application,we consider an elastic multiple disturbance *** using identical synthetic time-domain seismo-grams as test data,we obtain satisfactory,albeit different,reconstruction results from the two inversion *** computa-tional costs of both approaches are of the same order of magnitude,with the gradient-based approach showing a slight *** model parameter space reduction approach compensates for this by additionally providing a posteriori estimates of model parameter uncertainty.

This paper proposes five indicators to evaluate the effectiveness and viability for adverse glycemic events detection based on predicted blood glucose(BG)*** negative rate(FNR)and false positive rate(FPR)are defined to evaluate whether it can detect adverse glycemic events(AGEs)based on the predicted *** temporal overlap(TO)and time difference(TD)are proposed to evaluate whether the predicted model can capture the accurate time duration of *** sum of squared percent(SSP)measures comprehensive similarity between prediction values and true *** examined 328 patients with type 2 diabetes,containing real continuous glucose monitoring data with 5-minute time *** integrated moving average model has lower FNR and *** gated recurrent unit has better temporal behavior where the mean TO with standard deviation is calculated as 0.84±0.18,and the mean TD with standard deviation is(4.39±4.01)*** models have better effects on SSP(for hypoglycemia,long-short tern memory possesses 0.149 and 0.246).These five indicators are able to evaluate whether we can detect abnormal BG levels and reveal the temporal behavior of AGEs *** proposed neural predictive models have more promising application in AGE detection.

Microporous polymers(MPs) are studied for their intriguing chemistry and physics as well as their potential application in catalytic transformations, gas-separation processes, water purification and so on. Here, we critically review MPs with respect to the sustainability aspects of their synthesis as well as their applications that have sustainable character. Some MPs have been synthesized from monomers derived from biomass resources, but there is certainly a large potential for further *** are also opportunities to improve the sustainability of MP synthesis in terms of the use of solvents, catalysts, and related aspects. The applications of MPs in processes related to sustainability depend upon multiple properties. A rich and flexible chemistry is important to applications as catalysts for, among other useful reactions, the photoreduction of CO_2 and selective oxidation. The(ultra)micropore volume of MPs are crucial in gas-separation applications such as CO_2 capture, and the chemisorption of CO_2 on MP-tethered alkylamines could offer a means to remove that gas from dilute mixtures. When it comes to the storage of H_2 and CH_4 in MPs for onboard use in fuel cell or biogas cars, volumetric capacity is paramount, meaning that the density of the MPs must be considered. Finally, for use in separation and purifications from liquid mixtures(aqueous or hydrocarbon-based), crosslinked MPs are more limited than the solution-processable MPs that can be more easily processed into films and membranes.

Aurelia *** have been reported to form blooms in sea cucumber aquaculture ponds in the Bohai and Yellow *** identify the species,we carried out a genetic analysis of Aurelia *** and medusae based on mitochondrial 16 S rRNA *** offour Aurelia *** populations were collected in sea cucumber aquaculture ponds and samples offour Aurelia *** populations were collected in coastal *** a BLASTn search,we found that both the ephyrae collected in the aquaculture ponds and medusae collected in coastal waters belong to Aurelia *** haplotypes were recovered from the 16 S rRNA *** overall haplotype diversity and nucleotide diversity of the 166 *** individuals were 0.686%and 0.329%,respectively,indicating high haplotype diversity and low nucleotide ***,the haplotype diversity of ephyrae populations were generally lower than that of medusae populations with close sampling *** genetic differentiation between ephyrae populations collected in the sea cucumber aquaculture ponds and *** medusae collected in coastal waters was not significant,suggesting the ephyrae populations in the sea cucumber culture ponds were part of the same genetic group as the medusae populations in the coastal *** analysis of the 16 S rRNA region revealed that there was no significant correlation between the haplotypes and the geographic distribution of *** fixation index values showed significant genetic differentiation and limited gene flow between *** population of Weifang and other locations.

Interest in drug-induced liver injury(DILI) has dramatically increased over the past decade, and it has become a hot topic for clinicians, academics, pharmaceutical companies and regulatory bodies. By investigating the current state of the art, the latest scientific findings, controversies, and guidelines, this review will attempt to answer the question: Do we know everything? Since the first descriptions of hepatotoxicity over 70 years ago, more than 1000 drugs have been identified to date, however, much of our knowledge of diagnostic and pathophysiologic principles remains unchanged. Clinically ranging from asymptomatic transaminitis and acute or chronic hepatitis, to acute liver failure, DILI remains a leading causes of emergent liver transplant. The consumption of unregulated herbal and dietary supplements has introduced new challenges in epidemiological assessment and clinician management. As such, numerous registries have been created, including the United States Drug-Induced Liver Injury Network, to further our understanding of all aspects of DILI. The launch of Liver Tox and other online hepatotoxicity resources has increased our awareness of DILI. In 2013, the first guidelines for the diagnosis and management of DILI, were offered by the Practice Parameters Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology, and along with the identification of risk factors and predictors of injury, novel mechanisms of injury, refined causality assessment tools, and targeted treatment options have come to define the current state of the art, however, gaps in our knowledge still undoubtedly remain.
