The coloration and hatchability of insect eggs can affect individual and population ***,few genetic loci have been documented to affect both traits,and the genes involved in regulating these two traits are *** silkworm recessive mutant re^(l)shows both red egg color and embryo *** studied the molecular basis of the re^(l)phenotype *** genetic analysis,gene screening and sequencing,we found that two closely linked genes,BGIBMGA003497(Bmre)and BGIBMG4003697(Bm-Semala),control egg color and embryo mortality,*** base pairs of the Bm-re gene are deleted in its open reading frame,and BmSemala is expressed at abnormally low levels in mutant re^(l).BmSemala gene function verification was performed using RNA interference and clustered randomly interspersed palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associate protein *** of the BmSemala gene can cause the death of silkworm *** study revealed the molecular basis of silkworm re^(l)mutant formation and indicated that the Semala gene is essential for insect embryo development.

BACKGROUND Diabetic nephropathy(DN)is the most frequent chronic microvascular consequence of diabetes,and podocyte injury and malfunction are closely related to the development of *** have shown that corilagin(Cor)has hepatoprotective,anti-inflammatory,antibacterial,antioxidant,anti-hypertensive,antidiabetic,and anti-tumor *** To explore the protective effect of Cor against podocyte injury in DN mice and the underlying *** Streptozotocin and a high-fat diet were combined to generate DN mice models,which were then divided into either a Cor group or a DN group(n=8 in each group).Mice in the Cor group were intraperitoneally injected with Cor(30 mg/kg/d)for 12 wk,and mice in the DN group were treated with *** analysis was used to measure the blood lipid *** and eosin staining was used to detect pathological changes in kidney *** and Western blotting were used to assess the protein expression of nephrin and *** podocyte cells(MPC5)were cultured and treated with glucose(5 mmol/L),Cor(50μM),high glucose(HG)(30 mmol/L),and HG(30 mmol/L)plus Cor(50μM).Real-time quantitative PCR and Western blotting RESULTS Compared with the control group,the DN mice models had increased fasting blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,triglycerides,and total cholesterol,decreased nephrin and podocin expression,increased apoptosis rate,elevated inflammatory cytokines,and enhanced oxidative *** of the conditions mentioned above were alleviated after intervention with *** addition,Cor therapy improved SIRT1 and AMPK expression(Pting autophagy via the SIRT1-AMPK pathway,thereby exerting its protective impact on renal function in DN mice.

Data on discrete,isolated attributes of the marine economy are often used in traditional marine economic ***,as the focus of urban research shifts from internal static attributes to external dynamic linkages,the importance of marine economic net-work research is beginning to *** construction of the marine economic network in China’s coastal areas is necessary to change the flow of land and sea resources and optimize regional marine economic *** data from headquarters and branches of sea-related A-share listed enterprises to construct the marine economic network in China,we use social network analysis(SNA)to discuss the characteristics of its evolution as of 2010,2015,and 2020 and its *** following results were obtained.1)In terms of topological characteristics,the scale of the marine economic network in China’s coastal areas has accelerated and expan-ded,and the connections have become increasingly close;thus,this development has complex network characteristics.2)In terms of spatial structure,the intensity of the connection fluctuates and does not form stable development support;the group structure gradually becomes clear,but the overall pattern is fragmented;there are spatial differences in marine economic agglomeration radiation;the radi-ation effect of the eastern marine economic circle is obvious;and the polarization effect of northern and southern marine economic circles is *** this basis,we construct a framework for the governance of a marine economic network with the market,the government,and industry as the three governing *** clarifying the driving factors and building objectives of marine economic network construction,this study aims to foster the high-quality development of China’s marine economy.

Single Photon Detection Technology in Underwater Wireless Optical Communication:Modulation Modes and Error Correction Coding Analysis

The morphological diversity of insects is important for their survival;in essence,it results from the differential expression of genes during development of the insect *** silkworm apodal（ap） mutant has degraded thoracic legs making crawling and eating difficult and the female is sterile,which is an ideal subject for studying the molecular mechanisms of ***,we confirmed that the infertility of ap female moths is a result of the degradation of the bursa *** cloning of ap locus and expression analyses reveal that the Bombyx mori sister of odd and bowl（Bmsob） gene is a strong candidate for the ap *** expression of Bmsob is down-regulated,while the corresponding Hox genes are up-regulated in the ap mutant compared to the wild *** with the dual luciferase assay present a declined activity of the Bmsob promoter in the ap ***,we demonstrate that Bmsob can inhibit Hox gene expression directly and by suppressing the expression of other genes,including the Bm Dsp *** results of this study are an important contribution to our understanding of the diversification of insect body plan.

This study explores the application of single photon detection(SPD)technology in underwater wireless optical communication(UWOC)and analyzes the influence of different modulation modes and error correction coding types on communication *** study investigates the impact of on-off keying(OOK)and 2-pulse-position modulation(2-PPM)on the bit error rate(BER)in single-channel intensity and polarization ***,it compares the error correction performance of low-density parity check(LDPC)and Reed-Solomon(RS)codes across different error correction coding *** effects of unscattered photon ratio and depolarization ratio on BER are also ***,a UWOC system based on SPD is constructed,achieving 14.58 Mbps with polarization OOK multiplexing modulation and 4.37 Mbps with polarization 2-PPM multiplexing modulation using LDPC code error correction.

Soft grippers have great potential applications in daily life,since they can compliantly grasp soft and delicate ***,the highly elastic fingers of most soft grippers are prone to separate from each other while grasping objects due to their low stiffness,thus reducing the grasping stability and load-bearing *** tackle this problem,inspired from the venus flytrap plant,this work proposes a mutual-hook mechanism to restrain the separation and improve the grasping performance of soft *** novel soft gripper design consists of three modules,a soft finger-cot,two Soft Hook Actuators(SHAs)and two sliding ***,the soft finger-cot covers on the soft finger,increasing the contact area with the target object,two SHAs are fixed to the left and right sides of the finger-cot,and the sliding mechanisms are designed to make SHAs stretch *** demonstrate that the proposed design can restrain the separation of soft fingers substantially,and the soft fingers with the finger-cots can grasp objects three times heavier than the soft fingers without the proposed *** proposed design can provide invaluable insights for soft fingers to restrain the separation while grasping,thus improving the grasping stability and the load-bearing capacity.
