Open-shell oligomers and polymers have exhibited intriguing electronic and magnetic properties, making them highly desirable for a wide range of applications, including ambipolar organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), photodetectors, organic thermoelectrics, and spintronics. Although open-shell ground states have been observed in certain small molecules and doped organic semiconductors, the exploration of open-shell ground-state conjugated polymers is still limited, and the strategies for designing these polymers remain obscure. This review aims to briefly introduce the theory and characterization methods of open-shell conjugated polymers, along with an overview of recent progress and applications. The objective is to stimulate further advancements and investigations in this promising area by shedding light on the potential of open-shell conjugated polymers and the challenges that lie ahead.

In this paper,we consider the initial-boundary value problem(IBVP)for the micropolar Naviers-Stokes equations(MNSE)and analyze a first order fully discrete mixed finite element *** first establish some regularity results for the solution of MNSE,which seem to be not available in the ***,we study a semi-implicit time-discrete scheme for the MNSE and prove L2-H1 error estimates for the time discrete ***,certain regularity results for the time discrete solution are establishes *** on these regularity results,we prove the unconditional L2-H1 error estimates for the finite element solution of ***,some numerical examples are carried out to demonstrate both accuracy and efficiency of the fully discrete finite element scheme.

ContextAug:model-domain failing test augmentation with contextual information

In the process of software development,the ability to localize faults is crucial for improving the efficiency of *** speaking,detecting and repairing errant behavior at an early stage of the development cycle considerably reduces costs and development *** have tried to utilize various methods to locate the faulty ***,failing test cases usually account for a small portion of the test suite,which inevitably leads to the class-imbalance phenomenon and hampers the effectiveness of fault ***,in this work,we propose a new fault localization approach named *** obtaining dynamic execution through test cases,ContextAug traces these executions to build an information model;subsequently,it constructs a failure context with propagation dependencies to intersect with new model-domain failing test samples synthesized by the minimum variability of the minority feature *** contrast to traditional test generation directly from the input domain,ContextAug seeks a new perspective to synthesize failing test samples from the model domain,which is much easier to augment test *** conducting empirical research on real large-sized programs with 13 state-of-the-art fault localization approaches,ContextAug could significantly improve fault localization effectiveness with up to 54.53%.Thus,ContextAug is verified as able to improve fault localization effectiveness.

Fault Analysis on AES:A Property-Based Verification Perspective

Fault analysis is a frequently used side-channel attack for ***,existing fault attack methods usually involve complex fault fusion analysis or computation-intensive statistical analysis of massive fault *** this work,we take a property-based formal verification approach to fault *** derive fine-grained formal models for automatic fault propagation and fusion,which establish a mathematical foundation for precise measurement and formal reasoning of fault *** extract the correlations in fault effects in order to create properties for fault *** further propose a method for key recovery,by formally checking when the extracted properties can be satisfied with partial keys as the search *** results using both unprotected and masked advanced encryption standard(AES)implementations show that our method has a key search complexity of 216,which only requires two correct and faulty ciphertext pairs to determine the secret key,and does not assume knowledge about fault location or pattern.

Chemotactic nanomotor for multimodal combined therapy of glioblastoma

Glioblastoma(GBM) is the most aggressive malignant brain tumor. Due to the infiltration and heterogeneity of GBM, the obstruction of the blood-brain barrier(BBB) and the unique immunosuppressive mechanism, it is hard to achieve significant effects of GBM treatment. Here, a kind of chemotactic nanomotor that loaded with glucose oxidase(GOx) and carboxylated cisplatin(Pt(IV)) prodrug on the L-arginine-derived polymer is proposed. The nanomotors are driven by catalysis of glucose decomposition and the positive chemotaxis towards the GBM microenvironment where inducible nitric oxide synthase and reactive oxygen species are highly expressed. This facilitates the BBB crossing and GBM targeting of the nanomotors. In addition, the released nitric oxide(NO) during propulsion as well as the loaded GOx and Pt(IV) can exert combined NO/starvation/chemotherapy. Meanwhile, it is able to induce and enhance the immune response through multiple pathways, thus better coping with the complexities of GBM treatment.

A new fabrication method for enhancing the yield of linear micromirror arrays assisted by temporary anchors

As one of the most common spatial light modulators, linear micromirror arrays (MMAs) based on microelectromechanical system (MEMS) processes are currently utilized in many fields. However, two crucial challenges exist in the fabrication of such devices: the adhesion of silicon microstructures caused by anodic bonding and the destruction of the suspended silicon film due to residual stress. To solve these issues, an innovative processing method assisted by temporary anchors is presented. This approach effectively reduces the span of silicon microstructures and improves the Euler buckling limit of the silicon film. Importantly, these temporary anchors are strategically placed within the primary etching areas, enabling easy removal without additional processing steps. As a result, we successfully achieved wafer-level, high-yield manufacturing of linear MMAs with a filling factor as high as 95.1%. Demonstrating superior capabilities to those of original MMAs, our enhanced version boasts a total of 60 linear micromirror elements, each featuring a length-to-width ratio of 52.6, and the entire optical aperture measures 5 mm x 6 mm. The linear MMA exhibits an optical deflection angle of 20.4 degrees at 110 Vdc while maintaining exceptional deflection flatness and uniformity. This study offers a viable approach for the design and fabrication of thin-film MEMS devices with high yields, and the proposed MMA is promising as a replacement for digital micromirror devices (DMDs, by TI Corp.) in fields such as spectral imaging and optical communication.
