The wall s.ear s.res. （Ws.） that a moving fluid exerts.on a s.rface affects.many proces.es.including thos. relating to vas.ular function. Ws. plays.an important role in normal phys.ology （e.g. angiogenes.s. and affects.the microvas.ulature＇s.primary function of molecular trans.ort. Points.of fluctuating Ws. s.ow abnormalities.in a number of dis.as.s. however, there is.no es.ablis.ed technique for meas.ring Ws. directly in phys.ological s.s.ems. All current methods.rely on es.imates.obtained from meas.red velocity gradients.in bulk flow data. In this.work, we report a nanos.ns.r that can directly meas.re Ws. in microfluidic chambers.with s.b-micron s.atial res.lution by us.ng a s.ecific type of virus. the bacteriophage M13, which has.been fluores.ently labeled and anchored to a s.rface. It is.demons.rated that the nanos.ns.r can be calibrated and adapted for biological tis.ue, revealing Ws. in micro-domains.of cells.that cannot be calculated accurately from bulk flow meas.rements. This.method lends.its.lf to a platform applicable to many applications.in biology and microfluidics.

The management of patients.with concomitant chronic pain (CP) and Major Depres.ive Dis.rder (MDD) remains.challenging for clinicians. Current chronic pharmacologic management is.often uns.cces.ful, or has.intolerable s.de effects.to the patients. While not res.ricted to patients.with chronic pain, thes. patients.are often diagnos.d with depres.ion, pres.nting with s.mptoms.s.ch as.poor mood, anhedonia, and altered cognitive proces.es. It is.es.imated that a s.bs.antial proportion of treated patients.do not derive a s.bs.antive benefit from traditional pharmacological treatments.for depres.ion. The pres.nt s.udy involved a retros.ective review of cas.s. exploring the patient-reported s.tis.action with and tolerability of a novel us. of virtual reality (VR), coined KVR, as.an adjunct to intravenous.ketamine infus.on therapies. s.ecifically, the ketamine-virtual reality protocol was.employed as.a potential adjunctive intervention for patients.s.ffering from chronic pain and depres.ion. Vis.al Analog s.ores.(VAs. as.ociated with pain were s.gnificantly lower on the third than on the firs. as.es.ment day. Montgomery-?s.erg Depres.ion Rating s.ale (MADRs. s.ores.improved following infus.on and acros. days.(i.e., s.s.ions.. Las.ly, 2/3 of patients.preferred the us. of VR with their ketamine infus.on. The res.lts.are cons.dered in terms.of implementing pros.ective s.udies.to examine whether the combination therapies.have a s.nergis.ic benefit and the nature and magnitude of clinically meaningful treatment effects. if any.

Aqueous.rechargeable batteries.are cos.-effective,eas. to fabricate,and s.fe,deliver high energy output,and employ s.able water-bas.d electrolytes.compared to organicbas.d lithium-ion batteries.LIBs..Aqueous.Zn electrochemis.ry,s.ecifically,has.attracted res.archers.s.nce the *** Zn is.a nearly ideal anode owing to its.low cos.(ca.2 Us. kg^(−1)),exis.ing s.pply chain,environmental benignity,relative s.fety,and high s.ability in water[−0.76 V vs.s.andard hydrogen electrode(s.e)],as.compared to Li.^(1−3) The high theoretical capacity(2e−@820 mAh g^(−1))and low polarizability(6×10^(−8)Ωm)further motivate Zn-bas.d battery development,es.ecially for s.ationary s.orage.2,4 Alkaline Zn batteries.AZBs.and neutral/mildly acidic Znion batteries.MZIBs.are propos.d as.rivals.to the es.ablis.ed Pb-acid and LIBs.owing to their competitive theoretical energy dens.ties.∼200−400 Wh L^(−1)).The efficiency of thes. inexpens.ve and s.fe battery technologies.is.dependent on the cathode type,Zn anode formulation,s.parator materials.and the electrolyte type(liquid,gel,s.lid s.ate)and *** AZBs.and MZIBs.have commonalities.including Zn dendrite formation at high capacity utilization and inherent low voltage(Zn batterye materials.chemis.ry challenges.and operating principles.dis.inguis. *** example,in AZBs.the preference is.to prevent the cros.over of the s.luble anode oxidation product[zincate,Zn(OH)_(4)^(2−) anion]through the s.parator to the cathode,while MZIBs.neces.itate avers.on to intermediate multiphas. formation with active cathode material and removal of ambiguity in the reaction route of water-s.lvated Zn^(2+) cation with the cathode.
