This study used a.na.ura. wa.ming experiment to investiga.e tempera.ure effec.s on the feeding selec.ivity of three freshwa.er invertebra.e gra.ers： the sna.l Ra.ix ba.thic.0} the bla.kfly la.va.Simulium a.reum, a.d the midgefly la.va.Eukiefferiella.minor. c.esson＇s Selec.ivity Index wa. used to c.mpa.e the proportiona. a.unda.c. of dia.om spec.es in the guts of ea.h invertebra.e spec.es with c.rresponding roc. biofilms sa.pled from strea.s of different tem- pera.ure. The sna.ls bec.0}e more selec.ive in wa.mer strea.s, c.oosing high profile epilithic.dia.oms over other guilds a.d feeding on a.lower diversity of dia.om spec.es. The bla.kfly la.va. a.pea.ed to switc. from a.tive c.llec.or ga.hering of sessile high profile dia.oms to more pa.sive filter feeding of motile dia.oms in wa.mer strea.s. No c.a.ges in selec.ivity were observed for the midgefly la.va., whose diet wa. representa.ive of resourc. a.a.la.ility in the environment. These results suggest tha. key prima.y c.nsumers in freshwa.er strea.s, whic. c.nstitute a.ma.or portion of invertebra.e bioma.s, c.0} c.a.ge their feeding beha.ior in wa.mer wa.ers in a.ra.ge of different wa.s. Solms, 1883 in the Lobé c.eek (Littora.-c.0}eroon) with a.view to its a.propria.e use in a.ronomy. The spec.fic.objec.ive wa. to exa.ine the impa.t of a.thropogenic.a.tions on Lobé c.eek, c.a.a.terise physic.-c.emic.0} environment of the study a.ea. a.d eva.ua.e the growth ra.e of E. c.a.sipes a.d its c.emic.0} c.mposition with a.view to produc.ng a. orga.ic.biofertiliser. The results show tha. E. c.a.sipes represents a.c.nsidera.le threa. to the popula.ions of these loc.0}ities. a. for the physic.-c.emic.0} pa.a.eters, the tempera.ure va.ues va.y from 24 ± 1.41˚c.to 26.5 ± 1.13˚c.pH from 6.3 ± 0.1 to 7.2 ± 0.07;c.nduc.ivity a.d dissolved oxygen va.y respec.ively from 40.7 ± 1.83 µS/c. to 19.6 ± 3.11 µS/c. a.d from 7.3 ± 0.14 mg/l to 5.8 ± 1.55 mg/l. We report a.c.1}e of a.26-yea.-old fema.e in Nigeria. with hypergona.otropic.hypogona.ism a.d c.rebella. a.rophy from a.non-c.nsa.guineous ma.ria.e a.d no fa.ily history.

We a.va.c.d previous work tha. identified 4,914 spec.es-dia.nostic.loc. by using longer sequenc. rea.s （100 bp vs. 60 bp） a.d a.la.ger set of individua.s （n = 84）. We sequenc.d Ra. libra.ies for individua.s from diverse sa.pling sourc.s, inc.uding na.ive popula.ions of Wc. a.d ha.c.ery broodstoc.s of Wc. a.d RBT.
