Effect of Nitrogen Content on microstructures and mechanical Properties of WB_2(N) Films Deposited by Reactive magnetron Sputtering

In the present study,WB 2（N） films are fabricated on silicon and yG8 substrates at different N 2 pressures by reactive magnetron *** influence of N 2 partial pressure（P （N2）） on the film microstructure and characteristics is studied systematically,including the chemical composition,crystalline structure,residual stress,surface roughness as well as the surface and the cross-section ***,nano-indentation and ball-on-disk tribometer are performed to analyze the mechanical and tribological properties of the *** results show that the addition of nitrogen apparently leads to the change of the structure from（1 0 1） to（0 0 1） orientation then to the amorphous structure with the formation of BN *** the addition of nitrogen can greatly refine the grain size and microstructure of the ***,the residual stress of the film is also found to change from tensile to compressive stress as a function of P （N2）,and the compressive stress increases with P （N2）,The WB 2（N） films with small nitrogen content,which are deposited at P （N2） of 0.004 and 0.006 Pa,exhibit better mechanical,tribological and corrosion properties than those of other *** increase of nitrogen content accelerates the formation of BN phase and fast decreases the film *** addition,the large N 2 partial pressure gives rise to the target poisoning accompanied by the increase of the target voltage and the decrease of the deposition rate.

Introduction The main physical objective of the GECAm satellite is to detect gamma-ray bursts,which is related to gravitational waves of double compact object *** GECAm satellite also detects and investigates various bursts of high-energy celestial *** and methods In this study,we designed,developed and calibrated the payload and launched it into orbit with GECAm *** payload consists of the gamma ray detector(GRD,for detecting 4 keV–4 meV X/γray),the charged particle detector(CPD,for detecting 150 keV–5 meV charged particle),and the electronic box(EBOX).The all-sky field coverage is achieved via two 229-degree large-area satellites positioned 180 degrees apart and are on opposite sides of the *** satellite is equipped with 25 GRDs and 8 CPDs;thus,the satellite can identify charged particle bursts in ***-ray detectors adopt lanthanum bromide crystal technology combined with silicon *** is the first time that this technology was used massively in space *** The GECAm satellite can quickly determine the direction of gamma-ray bursts(positioning)via indexing and fitting method,while the transmit variability,energy spectrum and direction of the gamma-ray bursts guide subsequent observations through the Beidou-3 RDSS in quasi-real *** will play an important role in the study of high energy celestial bursts.

First-principles Study of Point Defects in Stoichiometric and Non-stoichiometric y_4Al_2O_9

By using the first-principles calculation, we studied the mechanisms of point defects in y4AI209 （yAm）, a promising ternary oxide with excellent optical and thermal properties. It is found that the predominant native defect species is closely dependent on the chemical potentials of each constituent. In the case of O-rich condition, the oxygen interstitial has the very low defect formation energy, followed by the anti-site defects and AI vacancy; in the case of AI-rich condition, the oxygen vacancy yields the lowest defect formation energy, followed by the anti-site defects and AI interstitial. The present result shows that in all the possible chemical potential ranges, anti-site defects have relatively low defect formation energy and might exist in high concentration in yAm. Furthermore, AIy anti-site has relatively lower defect formation energy than the yAt anti- site throughout. The behaviors of defect complexes under non-stoichiometric condition, such as the AI203 or y203 excess, are also investigated. The results provide helpful guide to optim.z. the experimental synthesizing of yAm.

Effects of SiC Nanoparticle Content on the microstructure and Tensile mechanical Properties of Ultrafine Grained AA6063-SiC_(np) Nanocomposites Fabricated by Powder metallurgy

Ultrafine grained AA6063-SiCnpnanocomposites with 1, 5 and 10 vol.% SiCnphave been fabricated by a novel powder metallurgy process. This process combines high energy ball milling of a mixture of 6063 alloy granules made from machining chips and Si C nanoparticles and thermomechanical powder consolidation by spark plasma sintering and hot extrusion. The microstructure and tensile mechanical properties of the samples were investigated in detail. Increasing the Si C nanoparticle content from 1 to 10 vol.%,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength increased from 296 and 343 mPa to 545 and 603 mPa respectively, and the elongation to fracture decreased from 10.0%, to 2.3%. As expected, a higher Si C nanoparticle content generates a stronger inhibiting effect to grain growth during the thermomechanical powder consolidation process. Analysis of the contributions of various strengthening mechanisms shows that a higher Si C nanoparticle content leads to a higher contribution from nanoparticle strengthening, but grain boundary strengthening still makes the largest contribution to the strength of the *** the Si C nanoparticle content increased to 10 vol.%, the failure of the nanocomposite was initiated at weakly-bonded interparticle boundaries(IPBs), indicating that with a high flow stress during tensile deformation, the failure of the material is more sensitive to the presence of weakly-bonded IPBs.

EFFECTS OF ImPURITIES AND RARE EARTH ADDITION ON THE TOUGHENING lEVElS OF Al-li baSED AllOyS 2090 AND 1420

The effects of the impurities Fe, Si, Na, K and a rare earth addition, Ce, on the intrinsic and extrinsic toughening levels have been investigated for the Al-li based alloys 2090 and 1420. 29K reduction in the toughening level for the alloy 2090 with impurities 0.42% Fe+Si or 0.0132% Na+K i4 identified to be caused by the *** improvement on the fracture toughness can be made by adding 0.05%-0.25% Ce to the alloy 2090. The reason behind this is that Ce microalloying can not only enhance both the intrinsic toughening level and the extrinsic toughening level but also suppress the embrittling behavior of the impurities. However, 0.06%-0.15% Ce microalloying fails to bring about any beneficial effect to the toughening level for the alloy 1420.

It is showed after the furnace tubes serviced for 8-10 years that the density of damage in the HAz (heat affected zone) of the weld has higher than in parent metals, though the depth of damage is not equal to. By the test of creep crack growth, it is also acquired that under same mechanic parameter C* (t), the rate of creep crack growth in the HAz is more than twice as fast as in parent metals. Two mechanisms (overheating and thermal shock) of failure occurred in an accident are presented. The stress of thermal shock is analyzed, in which the change of the elasticity modulus with the radius ET = /(r) is considered. based on it, the safety region of the thermal shock is obtained. Finally, two sets of curves for the safe life are suggested which can facilitate to estimate the remaining life of HK-40 or HP-Nb tubes by their creep rupture data.

Cd_(0.5)zn_(0.5)S film samples are prepared by a spray pyrolysis technique using aqueous solutions of CdC_(l2),znC_(l2),SC(NH2)2 and deionized water,which are atom.z.d using compressed air as the carrier gas onto glass substrates with different water(H2O)concentrations.H2O is used as the *** prepared films are characterized by means of XRD and UV−VIS *** results reveal that the structures and properties of the films are greatly affected by the H2O *** in a certain range of concentrations promotes the formation of the Cd_(0.5)zn_(0.5)S films and improves the properties of the films.
