Furfural residues derived nitrogen-sulfur co-doped sheet-like carbon: An excellent electrode for dual carbon lithium-ion capacitors

The state-of-the-art lithium-ion capacitors （LICs）,consisting of high-capacity battery-type anode and high-rate capacitor-type cathode,can deliver high energy density and large power density when comparing with traditional supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries,***,the ion kinetics mismatch between cathode and anode leads to unsatisfied cycling lifetime and anode *** efforts have been devoted to solving the abovementioned *** promising strategy is altering high conductive hard carbon anode with excellent structural stability to match with activated carbon cathode,assembling dual-carbon *** this contribution,one-pot in-situ expansion and heteroatom doping strategy was adopted to prepare sheet-like hard carbon,while activated carbon was obtained involving *** persulfate was used as expanding and doping agent *** furfural residues （FR） were served as carbon *** resulting hard carbon （FRNS-HC） and activated carbon （FRNS-AC）show excellent electrochemical performance as negative and positive electrodes in a lithium-ion battery （LIB）.To be specific,374.2 m Ah g-1and 123.1 m Ah g-1can be achieved at 0.1 A g-1and 5 A g-1when FRNS-HC was tested as *** combined with a highly porous carbon cathode (SBET=2961 m2g-1) synthesized from the same precursor,the LIC showed high specific energy of147.67 Wh kg-1at approximately 199.93 W kg-1,and outstanding cycling life with negligible capacitance fading over 1000 *** study could lead the way for the development of heteroatom-doped porous carbon nanomaterials applied to Li-based energy storage applications.

Learning the imaging mechanism directly from optical microscopy observations

The optical microscopy image plays an important role in scientific research through the direct visualization of the nanoworld,where the imaging mechanism is described as the convolution of the point spread function(PSF)and *** on a priori knowledge of the PSF or equivalent PSF,it is possible to achieve more precise exploration of the ***,it is an outstanding challenge to directly extract the PSF from microscopy ***,with the help of self-supervised learning,we propose a physics-informed masked autoencoder(PiMAE)that enables a learnable estimation of the PSF and emitters directly from the raw microscopy *** demonstrate our method in synthetic data and real-world experiments with significant accuracy and noise *** outperforms DeepSTORM and the Richardson–Lucy algorithm in synthetic data tasks with an average improvement of 19.6%and 50.7%(35 tasks),respectively,as measured by the normalized root mean square error(NRMSE)*** is achieved without prior knowledge of the PSF,in contrast to the supervised approach used by DeepSTORM and the known PSF assumption in the Richardson–Lucy *** method,PiMAE,provides a feasible scheme for achieving the hidden imaging mechanism in optical microscopy and has the potential to learn hidden mechanisms in many more systems.

Mitochondrial calcium uniporter(MCU)is a conserved calcium ion(Ca^(2+))transporter in the mitochondrial inner membrane of eukaryotic *** MCU proteins regulate Ca^(2+)flow and modulate plant cell development remain largely ***,we identified the gene GhMCU4 encoding a MCU protein that negatively regulates plant development and fiber elongation in cotton(Gossypium hirsutum).GhMCU4expressed constitutively in various tissues with the higher transcripts in elongating fiber *** of GhMCU4 in cotton significantly elevated the plant height and root *** calcium signaling pathway was significantly activated and calcium sensor genes,including Ca^(2+)dependent modulator of interactor of constitutively active ROP(GhCMI1),calmodulin like protein(GhCML46),calciumdependent protein kinases(GhCPKs),calcineurin B-like protein(GhCBLs),and CBL-interacting protein kinases(GhCIPKs),were dramatically upregulated in GhMCU4-silenced *** processes were preferentially enriched,and genes related to regulation of transcription were upregulated in GhMCU4-silenced *** contents of Ca^(2+)and H_(2)O_(2)were significantly increased in roots and leaves of GhMCU4-silenced *** length and Ca^(2+)and H_(2)O_(2)contents in fibers were significantly increased in GhMCU4-silenced *** study indicated that GhMCU4 plays a negative role in regulating cell elongation in cotton,thus expanding understanding in the role of MCU proteins in plant growth and development.

Efficient and rapid capture of uranium(Ⅵ) in wastewater via multiamine modified β-cyclodextrin porous polymer

It is quite important to ensure the safety and sustainable development of nuclear energy for the treatment of radioactive wastewater. To treat radioactive wastewater efficiently and rapidly, two multi-amine β-cyclodextrin polymers(diethylenetriamine β-cyclodextrin polymer(DETA-TFCDP) and triethylenetetramine β-cyclodextrin polymer(TETA-TFCDP)) were prepared and applied to capture uranium. Results exhibited that DETA-TFCDP and TETA-TFCDP displayed the advantages of high adsorption amounts(612.2and 628.2 mg·g-1, respectively) and rapid adsorption rates, which can reach(88 ± 1)% of their equilibrium adsorption amounts in 10 min. Moreover, the adsorbent processes of DETA-TFCDP and TETATFCDP on uranium(Ⅵ) followed the Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order model, stating they were mainly chemisorption and self-endothermic. Besides, TETA-TFCDP also showed excellent selectivity in the presence of seven competing cations and could be effectively reused five times via Na2CO3as the desorption reagent. Meanwhile, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy illustrated that the enriched multi-amine groups and oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of TETA-TFCDP were the main active sites for capturing uranium(Ⅵ). Hence, multi-amine β-cyclodextrin polymers are a highly efficient, rapid, and promising adsorbent for capturing uranium(Ⅵ)from radioactive wastewater.

An Empirical Study on Google Research Football Multi-agent Scenarios

Few multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) researches on Google research football (GRF) focus on the 11-vs-11 multi-agent full-game scenario and to the best of our knowledge, no open benchmark on this scenario has been released to the public. In this work, we fill the gap by providing a population-based MARL training pipeline and hyperparameter settings on multi-agent football scenario that outperforms the bot with difficulty 1.0 from scratch within 2 million steps. Our experiments serve as a reference for the expected performance of independent proximal policy optimization (IPPO), a state-of-the-art multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithm where each agent tries to maximize its own policy independently across various training configurations. Meanwhile, we release our training framework Light-MALib which extends the MALib codebase by distributed and asynchronous implementation with additional analytical tools for football games. Finally, we provide guidance for building strong football AI with population-based training and release diverse pretrained policies for benchmarking. The goal is to provide the community with a head start for whoever experiment their works on GRF and a simple-to-use population-based training framework for further improving their agents through self-play. Phototheranostics is an emerging field in synergistic antitumor therapy in which irradiation and sensitizers are combined to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),bio-images,and high *** of these are arrived from the energy of sensitizers,which located in excited single state(S_(1)).Undeniably,the decentralization of the S_(1)population indirectly decreases the effect of each individual *** this study,a strategy was proposed for enhancing the S_(1)population,and a sensitizer with mitochondrial targeting property,1,4-indolyl iodinated pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyrrole derivative(2I-TPIS),was assembled into adenosine triphosphate(ATP)-responsive nanoparticles(DPA-2I NPs)to achieve dual responses to irradiation and ultrasonication(US)for application to photo-sonodynamic therapy(PSDT).Compared with monotherapies,2I-TPIS generated more ROS in PSDT,inducing mitochondrial autophagy and apoptosis,which in turn triggered immunogenic cell death(ICD).Subsequently,DPA-2I NPs were constructed and self-assembled with the chemotherapeutic agents DPA-Cd and 2I-TPIS to achieve a triple synergistic strategy involving chemotherapy(CT)and ***-2I NPs exhibited absolute sensitization,intra-tumoral overexpression of ATP,and ***,the biosafety and potent antitumor efficiency of the DPA-2I NP-based“PSDT+CT”therapy were revealed using a 4T1 tumor *** study results provide insights into the design of sensitizers possessing a sufficient S_(1)population and a highly efficient tumor ablation capacity derived from molecular structural modulation,further enabling triple synergistic antitumor therapies,and expanding the clinical application of sensitizers.

Simultaneous enhanced ammonia and nitrate removal from secondary effluent in constructed wetlands using a new manganese-containing substrate

Constructed wetlands(CWs)are widely used to treat secondary ***,simultaneously removing ammonia(NH_(4)^(+)-N)and nitrate(NO_(3)^(–)–N)is challenging because of insufficient oxygen and carbon *** this study,a novel composite material(MPCM)comprising MnO_(2) and polycaprolactone was developed as a substrate for CWs to enhance the synchronous removal of NH_(4)^(+)–N and NO_(3)^(–)–*** CWs with a higher MPCM content(H-CW),lower MPCM content(LCW),and controlled CW(C-CW)exhibited average NH_(4)^(+)–N removal efficiencies of 75.69%,70.49%,and 52.40%,*** 15N isotope tracking technique showed that NH_(4)^(+)–N removal was attributed to anaerobic ammonia oxidation mediated by MnO2 reduction(Mnammox),which accounted for 17.16%–27.24%of the NH_(4)^(+)–N removal in the composite material layers(0–20 cm)of the H-CW and *** richness of ammonia oxidizers in the upper layers(40–50 cm)of the HCW and L-CW further facilitated NH_(4)^(+)–N ***,the average total nitrogen(TN)removal efficiencies of the H-CW and L-CW were 1.99 and 1.59 times that of C-CW,respectively,owing to enhanced denitrification by ***,N_(2)O emissions were reduced by 81.31%and 70.83%in the H-CW and L-CW,*** study provides an effective approach for improving nitrogen removal and reducing N2O emissions during the treatment of secondary effluent by CWs.

Construction of Prediction Model of Foodborne Disease Outbreaks and Its Trend Prediction—Guizhou Province,China,2023-2025

Objective:Foodborne diseases pose a significant public health concern *** study aims to analyze the correlation between disease prevalence and climatic conditions,forecast the pattern of foodborne disease outbreaks,and offer insights for effective prevention and control strategies and optimizing health resource allocation policies in Guizhou ***:This study utilized theχ^(2) test and four comprehensive prediction models to analyze foodborne disease outbreaks recorded in the Guizhou Foodborne Disease Outbreak system between 2012 and *** best-performing model was chosen to forecast the trend of foodborne disease outbreaks in Guizhou Province,***:Significant variations were observed in the incidence of foodborne disease outbreaks in Guizhou Province concerning various meteorological factors(all P≤0.05).Among all models,the SARIMA-ARIMAX combined model demonstrated the most accurate predictive performance(RMSE:Prophet model=67.645,SARIMA model=3.953,ARIMAX model=26.544,SARIMA-ARIMAX model=26.196;MAPE:Prophet model=42.357%,SARIMA model=37.740%,ARIMAX model=15.289%,SARIMA-ARIMAX model=13.961%).Conclusion:The analysis indicates that foodborne disease outbreaks in Guizhou Province demonstrate distinct seasonal *** is recommended to concentrate prevention efforts during peak *** SARIMA-ARIMAX hybrid model enhances the precision of monthly forecasts for foodborne disease outbreaks,offering valuable insights for future prevention and control strategies.
