This work uses isogeometric analysis(IGA),which is based on nonlocal hypothesis and higher-order shear beam hypothesis,to investigate the static bending and free oscillation of a magneto-electro-elastic functionally graded(MEE-FG)nanobeam subject to elastic boundary constraints(BCs).The magneto-electric boundary condition and the Maxwell equation are used to calculate the variation of electric and magnetic potentials along the thickness direction of the *** study is innovative since it does not use the conventional boundary ***,an elastic system of straight and torsion springs with controllable stiffness is used to support nanobeams’beginning and end positions,creating customizable *** governing equations of motion of nanobeams are established by applying Hamilton’s principle and IGA is used to determine deflections and natural frequency *** studies were performed to evaluate the convergence and accuracy of the proposed *** from this,the impact of the input parameters on the static bending and free oscillation of the MEE-FG nanobeam is examined in *** findings could be valuable for analyzing and designing innovative structures constructed of functionally graded MEE materials.

This research aims to analyze the static bending and free vibration behaviors of bidirectional functionally graded porous(BFGP)curved microbeams with elastic boundary conditions resting on a Pasternak’s elastic foundation in a hygro-thermal *** analysis based on non-uniform rational B-splines,first-order shear deformation theory,nonlocal elasticity theory combined with the modified strain gradient theories,modified Timoshenko beam theory are formulated to depict bending and shear deformations of BFGP curved ***,because using the modified Timoshenko beam theory,this study removes the requirement for a shear correction factor and describes shear stress by zero at the upper and lower cross-sectional sites of the BFGP curved *** from traditional boundary conditions,where the beginning and end positions of a curved beam are connected by an elastic system of straight and torsion *** allows for greater flexibility in controlling the stiffness of the springs to obtain arbitrary *** assess the accuracy and convergence of the proposed approach,validation numerical examples were conducted in the various examples.

Gallstone(GS)disease is common and arises from a combination of genetic and environmental *** genetic abnormalities specifically leading to cholesterol GSs are rare,there are clinically significant gene variants associated with cholesterol *** contrast,most bilirubin GSs can be attributed to genetic *** pathogenesis of cholesterol and bilirubin GSs differs *** GSs are notably influenced by genetic variants within the ABC protein superfamily,including ABCG8,ABCG5,ABCB4,and ABCB11,as well as genes from the apolipoprotein family such as ApoB100 and ApoE(especially the E3/E3 and E3/E4 variants),and members of the MUC ***,bilirubin GSs are associated with genetic variants in highly expressed hepatic genes,notably UGT1A1,ABCC2(MRP2),ABCC3(MRP3),CFTR,and MUC,alongside genetic defects linked to hemolytic anemias and conditions impacting *** genetic cases constitute a small portion of GS disease,recognizing genetic predisposition is essential for proper diagnosis,treatment,and genetic counseling.

Recycling is viewed as a key component in a circular economy and serves as an ideal solution for promoting *** the global plastic crisis,plastic recycling practices have been adopted worldwide,leading to the production of various products made from recycled plastics(PRP).Nevertheless,a gap persists between consumption and demand for such products,which is primarily attributed to a lack of comprehension from the consumer *** the pivotal role consumers play in the adoption of these products,this study explores consumers’intentions to purchase *** is particularly significant in Vietnam,which is an emerging economy aspiring to achieve the objectives of a circular economy and sustainable *** an integrated cognitive-emotional framework comprising the Valence Theory and the Norm Activation Model,data from 564 Vietnamese students were gathered and analyzed using structural equation *** results show that awareness of consequences is a major driver of consumer purchase intentions,followed by perceived ease of application and monetary *** results also indicate that health concerns have the strongest effect on purchase intention and in the negative side,meaning that the health-related risk is the primary concern for consumers during the decision-making *** research holds substantial value for academics and managers,as it aids in the theoretical exploration and the formulation of strategies to improve consumer acceptance of PRP.

Effectiveness of Wastewater-Based Epidemiology as an Early Warning Tool to Detect SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)

Medical diagnostic tests to detect Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) for individuals in the United States were initially limited to people who were traveling or symptomatic to track disease incidence due to the cost of providing testing for all people in a community on a routine basis. As an alternative to randomly sampling large groups of people to track disease incidence at significant cost, wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) is a well-established and cost-effective technique to passively measure the prevalence of disease in communities without requiring invasive testing. WBE can also be used as a forecasting tool since the virus is shed in individuals prior to developing symptoms that might otherwise prompt testing. This study applied the WBE approach to understand its effectiveness as a possible forecasting tool by monitoring the SARS-CoV-2 levels in raw wastewater sampled from sewer lift stations at a large public university campus setting including dormitories, academic buildings, and athletic facilities. The WBE analysis was conducted by sampling from building-specific lift stations and enumerating target viral copies using RT-qPCR analysis. The WBE results were compared with the 7-day rolling averages of confirmed infected individuals for the following week after the wastewater sample analysis. In most cases, changes in the WBE outcomes were followed by similar trends in the clinical data. The positive predictive value of the applied WBE approach was 86% for the following week of the sample collection. In contrast, positive correlations between the two data with Spearmen correlation (rs) ranged from 0.16 to 0.36. A stronger correlation (rs = 0.18 to 0.51) was observed when WBE results were compared with COVID-19 cases identified on the next day of the sampling events. Electrical and electronic waste(e-waste)is a growing challenge,matching the widespread boom in the use of information and communication *** to an alarming increasing amount of e-waste,a low rate of consumer engagement in ensuring the proper disposal of such materials intensifies the pressure on the exist‐ing e-waste *** deal with this thorny problem,it is of great interest to grasp consumers’disposal and re‐cycling behavioral ***,this study attempts to understand complementary perspectives around consumers’e-waste recycling intention based on the integration of the valence theory and the norm activation *** data mining models using classification and prediction-based algorithms,namely Chi squared automatic interaction detector(CHAID),Neural network,Discriminant analysis,and Quick,unbiased,efficient statistical tree(QUEST),were employed to analyze a set of the 398 data collected in *** re‐sults revealed that the social support value is by far the most critical predictor,followed by the utilitarian value,task difficulty,and monetary *** is also noteworthy that the awareness of consequences,education background,the ascription of responsibility,and age were also ranked as critical affecting *** lowest influential predictors found in this study were income and *** addition,a comparison was made in terms of the classification performance of the four utilized data mining *** on several evalua‐tion measurements(confusion matrix,accuracy,precision,recall,specificity,F-measure,ROC curve,and AUC),the aggregated results suggested that CHAID and Neural network performed the *** findings of this research are expected to assist policymakers and future researchers in updating all information surround‐ing consumer behavioral intention-related topics focusing on ***,the adoption of data min‐ing algorithms for prediction is another insight of this study,which may shed the light o

Bacterial leaf blight of rice (BLB), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, is one of the most destructive diseases in Asian rice fields. A high-quality rice variety, LT2, was used as the recipient ***21, which carries the Xa21 gene, was used as the donor parent. The resistance gene Xa21 was introduced into LT2 by marker-assisted backcrossing. Three Xoo races were used to inoculate the improved lines following the clipping method. Eleven BC_3F_3 lines carrying Xa21 were obtained based on molecular markers and agronomic performance. The 11 lines were then inoculated with the three Xoo races. All the 11 improved lines showed better resistance to BLB than the recipient parent LT2. Based on the level of resistance to BLB and their agronomic performance, five lines (BC_3F_3 5.***.5.1, BC_3F_3 5.***.5.12, BC_3F_3 8.***.6.44, BC_3F_3 9.***.4.1 and BC_3F_3 9.***.4.23) were selected as the most promising for commercial release. These improved lines could contribute to rice production in terms of food security.
