Thoron （Rn-220） is an invisible, odorless radioactive gas and nine times heavier than air. Purpose of project is to set up procedure to determine Rn-220 concentration which has been carried out in laboratory using Solid State Nuclear Track Detector （SSNTD） based passive detector technique. In this study, technical procedure has been applied in Karlsruhe diffusion chamber and LR-115, Type II strippable （Kodak Pathe, France） detector. The results have investigated how LR-115 work for Rn-220 by using Monazite ore to simultaneously measure Rn-222 and Rn-220. To carry out experiment, Karlsruhe diffusion chamber is used to with and without Poly-Ethylene （PE） membrane. Karlsruhe diffusion chamber with PE membrane only detect Rn-222, without PE membrane detect total Rn-222 and Rn-220. Precision evaluation by duplicate measure at 8 cm detector-source distance with relative standard deviation is less than 2.54%. Testing technical procedure, detectors have been sent to National Institute of Radiological Science （NIRS） for Rn-220 calibration exposure. After detectors have been calibration exposure at NIRS, it carried out all the following steps of procedure which set up at laboratory in 1NST, Vietnam. Finally, calibration factor calculated is 0.21 （tracks-cm2/Bq·m3·h） and constructed curve between integrated Tn-220 concentration and tracks density with factor R2 = 0.975.

Our aim was to evaluate the quality of ejaculated and epididymal frozen-thawed pig sperm of endangered Vietnam native pig breeds. Ejaculated sperm was collected from live boars and epididymal sperm was collected from slaughtered boars of the MuongTe, Kieng Sat and Co Binhthuan breeds and frozen in 0.25 ml straws using a protocol established earlier for modern pig breeds. We evaluated the sperm quality after thawing in terms of motility and rates of viable and abnormal spermatozoa. Our results revealed that the sperm motility and rates of viable and abnormal frozen-thawed sperm were >30%, >44%, and thuan breed, ejaculated sperm generated higher cleavage, blastocyst and hatching rates than did the epididymal sperm (60.11% vs 56.02%, 17.23% vs 14.31%, 3.78% vs 2.34%, respectively, P 0.05). In the Co Binhthuan breed, the rate of pregnancy of ejaculated groups was similar to that of the epididymal group. In conclusion, the ejaculated and epididymal sperm of native Vietnamese pigs were successfully frozen. We succeeded in creating embryos in vitro and pregnant pigs after artificial insemination from frozen-thawed semen in three native Vietnamese pig breeds for the first time. The use of the ejaculated sperm improved the production of native pig embryos in vitro efficiency.

Urban flooding has impacted siginficantly on people＇s living： economic development, environmental pollution, etc.. It has been the serious problem of many cities in file world, especially in urban areas in developing countries because urbanization is too fast but lack of adaptive management planning and infrastructure. In Vietnam, the big cities, such as HCM （Ho Chi Minh） City, Hanoi, etc. have also been influenced severely by floods. By early 2017, HCM City has 171 flooded sites assigned by the district level; 40 submergence points assigned by Steering Center of Flooding Control Program, and 9 tidal flooded points. The paper will establish a suitable method for assessing flood vulnerability in HCM City from natural, social and environmental aspects. The results of a case study in District 6 show that there are four wards with high vulnerability and 10 wards with average vulnerability.

Objective:Recently,much attention has been paid to natural product-derived compounds for antidiabetic drug *** recent studies are being focused on clarifying the bioactivity of plants and derived *** aim of the present study was to investigate the anti-oxidant and antidiabetic activities of Clerodendrum inerme leaf extract(CILE)in streptozotocin-induced diabetic ***:*** leaves were analyzed for preliminary phytochemical properties and the content of total phenolic and flavonoid were *** vitro anti-oxidant activity was measured using DPPH ***-induced diabetic model in mice was applied for in vivo study by the effect of CILE at two dose levels(343 and 686 mg/kg b.w.).Results:The results showed that *** leaves contained the major constituents of flavonoids,alkaloids,tannins,triterpenes,and *** exhibited the total polyphenol and flavonoid content with 120.458 mg gallic acid equivalent/g dry weight and 4.494 mg hispidulin equivalent/g dry weight,*** anti-oxidant activity of CILE was expressed with IC50=25.28μg/m *** at the doses of343 mg/kg and 686 mg/kg after 7 d administration exerted a decrease in plasma glucose,protected the liver,kidneys against oxidation stress via increasing glutathione content in the liver,and reduced malondialdehyde content in the liver and *** histological analysis in diabetic mice treated with CILE also showed the pancreaticβ-cells regeneration via increasing the size and number of pancreatic ***:These findings suggested that *** leaves had potent antidiabetic and anti-oxidant *** results provide reliable scientific base,which is the premise for further research and development of CILE as supplements.

The Five Years Surveillance and Trends of Antibiotic Resistance in Some Common Gram Negative Bacteria at the Vietnam Military Hospital

The study is to identify trends and levels of antibiotic resistance of some common Gram-negative strains over time. The samples were collected from Vietnam Military Hospital 103 between 2014 and 2019. A total of 405 Acinetobacter baumannii., 528 Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 741 Escherichia coli, and 352 Klebsiella pneumoniae strains were identified and antimicrobial susceptibility was by Vitek system and Etest method. The multi-drug resistance (MDR) was major proportion of four common bacteria. In particular, there is a tendency to shift from MDR to Extended drug resistance (XDR) or possibly Pan drug resistant (pPDR). A. baumannii had the highest level of antibiotic resistance, namely, carbapenem (61.5% - 82.5%) and cephalosporin (72.7% - 88.7%). P. aeruginosa resisted most of commonly antibiotics, ranging from 50% to 70%. E. coli had a high resistance with antibiotics like ampicillin (87.2% - 97.6%) and the 3rd generation cephalosporins (up to 79.6%). K. pneumoniae resisted carbapenem from 14.7% to 44.4%, and other antibiotics with the higher rate of 40%. The collected data will be a prerequisite for further studies on mechanisms and factors related to antibiotic resistant bacteria, in order to find out a rational and effective using strategy of antibiotics.

外语教学对中国发展来说,一向是具有战略意义的工作,因为只有具备相应外语水平,才能更好地学习外国的先进科学技术和管理经验,引进有利于自己国家建设的工艺。作为二十一世纪世界经济发展最为活跃的东南亚地区,汉语教学具有极其重要的地位,汉语成为越南教育系统中最重要的外语之一,其地位仅次于英语。对越南来说,汉语不仅是世界主要语言之一,是联合国的工作语言之一,是除了中国大陆和台湾以外新加坡,马来西亚等国的常用语言,更是越南人在长达近两千年的历史时期当作正统书面语来使用的一种语言。汉语教学在越南历史上是源远流长的,经过一段时间发展的过程,到二十一世纪,随着中国经济的速度发展很快,外贸越来越飞跃,两个国家交流之间扩大,汉语的地位日益重要。目前越南需要很多会汉语的人,汉语逐渐成为越南的热门外语之一。但是,越南的汉语教学还存在许多问题,在培养语言技能、改进教学方法、提供教学参与资料和技术设备等方面存在许多不足。本文本身是越南人,拟对越南大学本科汉语教学的现状展开调查,侧重于汉语作为第二外语的教学,试图通过问卷调查的方式,从学生、老师两个层面展开,学生方面:调查了解其学习的兴趣和态度,汉语教学课程设置,现有教材的编排等,教师方面:教学方法,教学技能,教师队伍的构成等等,在调查过程中,本文还做了具体的个案访谈,将调查和访谈结合起来,试图揭示越南大学本科汉语教学存在的问题,分析原因是在哪里,并由此而提出意见和建议,以促进越南大学本科汉语教学的发展。希望可以给越南大学本科汉语教学提供具体可操作的帮助,启发教师和学生对汉语的感兴趣,希望越南汉语教学的发展越来越好,取得更多的成绩。

Objective:To investigate the osteoblastogenic activity of the ethyl acetate(EtOAc)extract of Smilax glabra Roxb roots and its major active compound ***:Astilbin was isolated from EtOAc extract using silica gel chromatography combined with fraction *** structure of astilbin was determined by analysis of the spectroscopic data in comparison with the *** method was used to detect the *** phosphatase(ALP)activity was determined by the spectrophotometric method at 405 nm using p-nitrophenyl phosphate as a *** deposition was stained with alizarin red-S,distained with cetylpyridium chloride,and quantified at 562 *** silico model for astilbin-ALP interaction was analyzed using AutoDock *** changes in expression of osteoblast differentiation related genes were determined using quantitative real-time ***:Both the EtOAc extract and astilbin had no toxicity toward osteoblast MC3T3-E1 cells at 5.0,10,25,and 50μg/*** 25μg/mL,they enhanced ALP activity and mineralization of osteoblasts up to 30%and 55%for the EtOAc extract and 22%and 41%for astilbin,*** docking analysis of astilbin-ALP interaction revealed Arg167,Asp320,His324,and His437 were key residues participating in hydrophobic interaction;meanwhile,His434 and Thr436 residues were involved in hydrogen bond formation in the active site of human tissue-nonspecific ***,the expression level of genes opn,col1,osx,and runx2 were up-regulated in astilbin treated samples with the fold changes as 2.2;3.7;4.1;2.3,respectively at 10μg/mL(P<0.05).Conclusions:The EtOAc extract and its major compound astilbin exhibit osteoblastogenic activity by up-regulating important markers for bone cell *** could be a new and promising osteogenic agent with dual actions for therapeutic applications.
