We investigate the bipolaron channel B＋＋＋ B-- → BX. The dynamical evolutions and transition probabilities of.this bipolaron luminescence channel are studied. It is f.und that this channel avoids the triplet and is able to enhance the ef.iciency. We suggest that choosing certain polymers and injection structures, in which B is easily f.rmed, can improve the luminescence ef.iciency. It is believed that these results will motivate f.rther experimental studies about the f.nction of.bipolarons in electroluminescence.

Although worldwide concern has been raised since the large-scale outbreak of.highly pathogenic avian inf.uenza in wild birds at Qinghai Lake,China in 2005,the f.ctors responsible f.r the ability to kill waterf.wl remain unclear. The why and how questions of.the H5N1 virus species-jump into its reservoir host need to be answered. In this report we test the pathogenicity and adaptation of.Qinghai Lake (Clade 2.2) isolate to Muscovy ducks f.r f.rther understanding of.this virus. The isolate was highly pathogenic in ducks and retained its high pathogenicity even af.er 20 generations of.passage in ducks. During the process of.serial passages,only the NS gene developed non-synonymous substitutions,which caused two mutations in NS1 protein (Val23Ala and Leu207Pro) and one in NS2 (Phe55Leu). These mutations persisted immutably through all subsequent passages and the pathogenicity remained high,implying that highly pathogenic H5N1 virus remains stable in aquatic birds through oral transmission. Although the exact f.nctions of.these mutations are not known,our results provide an important f.undation f.r f.rther understanding the characteristics of.the Qinghai Lake isolates.

Tumor progression is a multi-step process that requires a sequential selection of.specif.c malignant phenotypes. Met activation may induce dif.erent phenotypes depending on tumor stage: inducing prolif.ration and angiogenesis in pri- mary tumors, stimulating motility to f.rm micrometastases, and regaining the prolif.ration phenotype to f.rm overt metastases. To study how HGf.Sf.induced prolif.rative phenotypes switch to the invasive phenotype is important f.r understanding the mechanism of.tumor progression and will provide an attractive target f.r cancer intervention and therapy.

The antibiotic resistance is natural in bacteria and predates the human use of.antibiotics. Numerous antibiotic resistance genes （ARGs） have been discovered to conf.r resistance to a wide range of.antibiotics. The ARGs in natural environments are highly integrated and tightly regulated in specif.c bacterial metabolic networks. However, the antibiotic selection pressure conf.rred by the use of.antibiotics in both human medicine and agriculture practice leads to a signif.cant increase of.antibiotic resistance and a steady accumulation of.ARGs in bacteria. In this review, we summarized, with an emphasis on an ecological point of.view, the important research progress regarding the collective ARGs （antibiotic resistome） in bacterial communities of.natural environments, human and animals, i.e., in the one health settings. We propose that the resistance gene f.ow in nature is ＂f.om the natural environments＂ and ＂to the natural environments＂; human and animals, as intermediate recipients and disseminators, contribute greatly to such a resistance gene ＂circulation.＂

The 2014-15 Ebola virus reported during March 2014 Guinea. has shown itself.to （EBOV） outbreak, originally n the Western Af.ican nation of.be resistant to traditional con- tainment methods, with over 28,000 inf.ctions and 11,000 deaths over 18 months. Recently, news that a Scottish nurse had relapsed to EBOV disease with neurological symptoms at 10 months af.er recovery have astonished experts. The prolonged nature of.the outbreak has led to questions whether EBOV can become endemic in the human popula- tion, an undesirable outcome due to the large amount of.resources required to keep this virus under control. In this commentary, we discuss aspects EBOV disease with those caused by pathogens considered endemic in humans, as well as f.ctors which may contribute to sustained EBOV transmission in humans.

This paper investigates the use of.the method of.inequalities （MoI） to design output-f.edback compensators f.r the problem of.the control of.instabilities in a laminar plane Poiseuille f.ow. In common with many f.ows, the dynamics of.streamwise vortices in plane Poiseuille f.ow are very non-normal. Consequently, small perturbations grow rapidly with a large transient that may trigger nonlinearities and lead to turbulence even though such perturbations would, in a linear f.ow model, eventually decay. Such a system can be described as a conditionally linear system. The sensitivity is measured using the maximum transient energy growth, which is widely used in the f.uid dynamics community. The paper considers two approaches. In the f.rst approach, the MoI is used to design low-order proportional and proportional-integral （PI） controllers. In the second one, the MoI is combined with Mcf.rlane and Glover＇s H∞ loop-shaping design procedure in a mixed-optimization approach.
