OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness of cycling in combination with electroacupuncture in treatment of poststroke hemiplegia patients at National hospital of Acupuncture,***:The study was designed as a single-centre,outcome-assessor-blinded parallel randomised controlled trial with 120 post-stroke hemiplegia patients randomly assigned into two groups:electroacupuncture plus cycling(CT group) and electroacupuncture(AT group).Patients were assessed before and after the treatment(using muscle grading,modified Rankin,Barthel,Orgorozo scores and electromyography).Statistical Man–Whitney U test,and Fisher’s exact tests were used to compare between CT and AT ***:The results reported statistically significant improvement in motor function in patients suffering from hemiplegia following ischemic stroke in both CT and AT *** in CT group experienced a greater improvement compared to those in AT group including better muscle contraction(increased frequency and amplitude of electromyography and increased muscle grading scale);increased recovery(Orgogozo scale),increased independency(Barthel scale) and decreased disability(Modified Rankin scale)(P h cycling training significantly improves the recovery of post-stroke patients treated with electroacupuncture.

The two main approaches that countries are using to ease the strain on healthcare infrastructure is building temporary hospitals that are specialized in treating COVID-19 patients and promoting preventive *** such,the selection of the optimal location for a temporary hospital and the calculation of the prioritization of preventive measures are two of the most critical decisions during the pandemic,especially in densely populated areas where the risk of transmission of the virus is *** the location selection process or the prioritization of measures is poor,healthcare workers and patients can be harmed,and unnecessary costs may come into *** this study,a decision support framework using a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAhP)and a weighted aggregated sum product assessment model are proposed for selecting the location of a temporary hospital,and a FAhP model is proposed for calculating the prioritization of preventive measures against COVID-19.A case study is performed for ho Chi Minh City using the proposed decision-making *** contribution of this work is to propose a multiple criteria decision-making model in a fuzzy environment for ranking potential locations for building temporary hospitals during the COVID-19 *** results of the study can be used to assist decisionmakers,such as government authorities and infectious disease experts,in dealing with the current pandemic as well as other diseases in the *** the entire world facing the global pandemic of COVID-19,many scientists have applied research achievements in practice to help decision-makers make accurate decisions to prevent the *** the number of cases increases exponentially,it is crucial that government authorities and infectious disease experts make optimal decisions while considering multiple quantitative and qualitative *** such,the proposed approach can also be applied to support complex decision-making processes in a fuzzy environment in di

Evaluation of Weathering Performance of Rosin-Copper Based Treated Wood

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of natural weathering on some surface characteristics and mechanical properties of Styrax wood treated with mixtures of 1.0%,2.0%,or 4.0%rosin sizing agent and 3%copper *** samples after treatment were exposed to outdoor conditions for one year and changes in color,glossiness,weight loss,compression strength parallel to grain(CSPG),modulus of rupture(MOR),and modulus of elasticity(MOE)were investigated after 6 and 12-month of natural *** results showed that rosin-copper treatment could improve color stability and gloss of samples after *** losses of all rosin-copper treated samples after 12 months of exposure were negligible compared with the untreated control *** addition,rosin-copper treatment enhanced the CSPG compared to untreated controls,but slightly decreased the MOR and MOE of Styrax wood before *** weathering factors induced a reduction for all strength properties,however,the decrease rate for strength properties of rosin-copper treated samples was negligible compared with the untreated control samples after 12-month natural weathering *** FTIR and SEM-EDX confirmed that the use of the rosin-copper formulations to impregnate wood could decrease the hazard of the copper preservative leaching into the environment,while also enhancing more resistance against weathering factors and other biotic factors.

In this paper,we establish a new algorithm to the non-overlapping Schwarz domain decomposition methods with changing transmission conditions for solving one dimensional advection reaction diffusion *** precisely,we first describe the new algorithm and prove the convergence results under several natural assumptions on the sequences of parameters which determine the transmission *** we give a simple method to estimate the new value of parameters in each *** interesting advantage of our method is that one may update the better parameters in each iteration to save the computational cost for optimizing the parameters after many *** some numerical experiments are performed to show the behavior of the convergence rate for the new method.

Defect engineering of water-dispersible g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalysts by chemical oxidative etching of bulk g-C_(3)N_(4) prepared in different calcination atmospheres

In this study,water-dispersible graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))photocatalysts were successively prepared through the chemically oxidative etching of bulk g-C_(3)N_(4) that was polymerized thermally in different calcination atmospheres such as air,CO_(2),and N_(2).The different calcination atmospheres directly influenced the physicochemical and optical properties of both bulk and water-dispersible g-C_(3)N_(4),changing the photocatalytic degradation behavior of methylene blue(MB)and tetracycline hydrochloride(TChCl)for water-dispersible g-C_(3)N_(4).The bubble-burst process in the thermal polymerization of thiourea produced defective edges containing C=O groups that preferred substituting the C-Nhx groups over bulk g-C_(3)N_(4).In the oxygen-free N_(2) atmosphere among the different calcination atmospheres,more C=O functional groups were generated on the defective edges of bulk g-C_(3)N_(4),resulting in the highest N vacancy of the tri-s-triazine *** the successive chemical oxidation,S-or O-containing functional groups were introduced onto water-dispersible g-C_(3)N_(4).The water-dispersible g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalyst from the oxygen-free N_(2) atmosphere(NTw)contained the most O-and S-functional groups on the g-C_(3)N_(4) ***,NTw exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity in the MB and TC-hCl photodegradation because of its slowest recombination process,which was ascribed to the unique surface properties of NTw such as abundant functional groups on the defective edges and N-deficient property.

Collagen provides tissue strength and structural *** fication of the orientated dispersion of collagen fibers is an important factor when studying the mechanical properties of the *** this study,for the first time,a new method for rapid characterization of the collagen fiber orientations of the cervix using linearly polarized light colposcopy is presented.A total of 24 colposcopic images were captured using a cross-polarized imaging system with white LED light *** the preprocessing stage,the Red channel of the RGB image was chosen,which contains no information of the blood vessels because of the low-absorption of blood cells in the red ***,which is an ImageJ plug-in,was used to estimate the local orientation of the collagen *** result shows that in the nonpregnant cervix,the middle zone(Zone 2)has circumferentially aligned collagen fibers while the inner zone(Zone 1)has randomly *** collagen fiber dispersion in Zone 2 is much smaller than that in Zone 1 at all four quadrants region(anterior,posterior,left,and right quadrant).This new analysis technique could potentially combine with diagnostic tools to provide a quantitative platform of collagen fibers in the clinic.

Along with vast non-fossil potential and significant expertise,there is a question of whether Asian nations are attaining efficient consumption and exploitation of renewable *** this perspective,the paper aims to evaluate the efficiency of 14 potential Asia countries in renewable energy consumption during the six-year periods(2014-2019).In analyzing the performance of the renewable energy sector,the data envelopment analysis(DEA)with an undesirable output model approach has been widely utilized to measure the efficiency of peer units compared with the best practice *** consider four inputs and two outputs to a DEA-based efficiency *** force,total energy consumption,share of renewable energy,and total renewable energy capacity are *** outputs consist of CO_(2)emissions as an undesirable output and gross domestic product as a desirable *** results show that United Arab Emirates,Saudi Arabia,Japan,and South Korea consistently outperform in the evaluation,achieving perfect efficiency scores during the research *** is found to have the lowest average efficiency of renewable energy utilization.

NOx emissions cause many negative impacts on the living *** photocatalysis of semiconductors is superior for nitric oxide(NO)degradation due to their low redox *** this report,we combine SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction photocatalyst toward the high selectivity into green products under visible light *** show that SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction degraded 40.8%of NO,which is 1.6 times higher than that of g-C_(3)N_(4).In addition,the selectivity coefficient of SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)is higher 3 times than both pure SnO_(2-x)and g-C_(3)N_(4).Furthermore,SnO_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)expresses a superior stability for NO photocatalytic-degradation after five *** scavenger trapping test results,and electron spin resonance(ESR)analysis also provide more understanding of the charge transfer mechanism of ***_(2-x)/g-C_(3)N_(4)heterojunction shows a high removal efficiency of NO gas,making it an up-and-coming environmental treatment candidate.

Currently,the vertical drain consolidation problem is solved by numerous analytical solutions,such as time-dependent solutions and linear or parabolic radial drainage in the smear zone,and no artificial intelligence(AI)approach has been ***,in this study,a new hybrid model based on deep neural networks(DNNs),particle swarm optimization(PSO),and genetic algorithms(GAs)is proposed to solve this *** DNN can effectively simulate any sophisticated equation,and the PSO and GA can optimize the selected DNN and improve the performance of the prediction *** the present study,analytical solutions to vertical drains in the literature are incorporated into the DNN–PSO and DNN–GA prediction models with three different radial drainage patterns in the smear zone under timedependent *** verification performed with analytical solutions and measurements from three full-scale embankment tests revealed promising applications of the proposed approach.

Objective:To investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Solanum procumbens on complete Freund’s adjuvantinduced arthritis rat ***:We isolated and identified five compounds in the ethanolsoluble Solanum procumbens extract(SP)with anti-inflammatory effects,including ursolic acid,β-sitosterol,hexadecanoic acid,cisvaccenic acid,and vanillic ***,we investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of SP on rheumatoid arthritis symptoms,including paw volumes,local temperatures,withdrawal latency,and mechanical withdrawal threshold at the hind paw and white blood cell(WBC)number from complete Freund’s adjuvant-induced arthritis rat ***:We have successfully established a complete Freund’s adjuvant-induced arthritis rat model at a low dose(1 mg/mL).SP extract significantly reduced paw volumes(Phdrawal latencies(Phe mechanical withdrawal threshold(Phe dose of 300 mg/kg significantly decreased WBC ***:SP extract could be a potential medication candidate with anti-inflammatory effects for arthritis,but it requires further investigation into the mechanism of the SP and its effectiveness on other models as well as clinical trials.
