As a primary anticounterfeiting technology,most paper anticounterfeiting devices take advantage of photoresponsive behaviors of certain security materials or structures,thus featuring low-security threshold,which has been a critical global issue.To incorporate optoelectronic devices into existing anticounterfeiting technology suggests a feasible avenue to address this challenge.Here we report a high-performance organic light-emitting paper-based flexible anticounterfeiting(FAC)device with multiple stimuli-responsiveness,including light,electricity,and their combination.Without sacrificing the preexisted security information on the paper,we fabricate FAC device in a facile,low-cost yet high-fidelity fashion by integrating patterned electro-responsive and photo-responsive organic emitters onto paper substrates.By introducing optical microcavities,the FAC device shows considerable color shift upon different viewing angle and applied voltage,which is easily discernible by naked eyes.Notably,the FAC device is bendable,unclonable,and durable(a half-lifetime over 4000 hours at 100 cd m^(−2)).

A new modified extended state observer(MESO)-based robustness voltage sliding mode control(SMC)strategy is proposed for an AC islanded microgrid under system uncertainties including system parameter and load variation.First,the disturbance effect on the system is regarded as a lumped uncertainty,and a state space model of the uncertain islanded microgrid system is established.Then,a modified extended state observer is designed to estimate external disturbances and internal perturbation.Finally,considering the lumped uncertainty,a sliding mode controller with a multi-power reaching law is proposed to enable the output voltage of the system to track its reference voltage rapidly and accurately,and to enhance the robustness of the system.The simulation results confirm that the proposed robustness voltage control strategy can perform satisfactory voltage control and demonstrate a strong capability to reject parameter and load variation.

This study aims to address the deviation in downstream tasks caused by inaccurate recognition results when applying Automatic Speech Recognition(ASR)technology in the Air Traffic Control(ATC)field.This paper presents a novel cascaded model architecture,namely Conformer-CTC/Attention-T5(CCAT),to build a highly accurate and robust ATC speech recognition model.To tackle the challenges posed by noise and fast speech rate in ATC,the Conformer model is employed to extract robust and discriminative speech representations from raw waveforms.On the decoding side,the Attention mechanism is integrated to facilitate precise alignment between input features and output characters.The Text-To-Text Transfer Transformer(T5)language model is also introduced to handle particular pronunciations and code-mixing issues,providing more accurate and concise textual output for downstream tasks.To enhance the model’s robustness,transfer learning and data augmentation techniques are utilized in the training strategy.The model’s performance is optimized by performing hyperparameter tunings,such as adjusting the number of attention heads,encoder layers,and the weights of the loss function.The experimental results demonstrate the significant contributions of data augmentation,hyperparameter tuning,and error correction models to the overall model performance.On the Our ATC Corpus dataset,the proposed model achieves a Character Error Rate(CER)of 3.44%,representing a 3.64%improvement compared to the baseline model.Moreover,the effectiveness of the proposed model is validated on two publicly available datasets.On the AISHELL-1 dataset,the CCAT model achieves a CER of 3.42%,showcasing a 1.23%improvement over the baseline model.Similarly,on the LibriSpeech dataset,the CCAT model achieves a Word Error Rate(WER)of 5.27%,demonstrating a performance improvement of 7.67%compared to the baseline model.Additionally,this paper proposes an evaluation criterion for assessing the robustness of ATC speech recognition systems.In robustness evaluation experiments

The rabies virus is a neurotropic virus that causes fatal diseases in humans and animals.Although studying the interactions between a single rabies virus and the cell membrane is necessary for understanding the pathogenesis,the internalization dynamic mechanism of single rabies virus in living cells remains largely elusive.Here,we utilized a novel force tracing technique based on atomic force microscopy(AFM)to record the process of single viral entry into host cell.We revealed that the force of the rabies virus internalization distributed at(65±25)pN,and the time was identified by two peaks with spacings of(237.2±59.1)and(790.3±134.4)ms with the corresponding speed of 0.12 and 0.04µm/s,respectively.Our results provide insight into the effects of viral shape during the endocytosis process.This report will be meaningful for understanding the dynamic mechanism of rabies virus early infection.

The rapid increase in the number of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) poses a threat to the safety of personnel, ground facilities,and aircraft. Therefore, as the basis of UAV safety protection, requirements on collision avoidance technology are getting higher in the mean time. Although plenty of research on UAV collision avoidance systems and methods exists, there is still a lack of integrated view of the UAV safety in the current civil airspace. The reason behind this is that the collision avoidance is always treated as a simple and basic behavior of autonomous robots, wherein a UAV is considered not so much different from other unmanned moving vehicles except its dynamic model. Regulations and rules that are specific to the UAVs under the background of airspace safety are not emphasized and put into consideration in the system and method design. This review paper serves as a guide for developing the UAV collision avoidance technology by summarizing the existing regulations and rules related to UAV collision avoidance, discussing the mathematical formulation of the rule-based collision avoidance methods, and testing and benchmarking those methods.

Light olefin production by catalytic co-cracking of Fischer–Tropsch distillate with methanol and the reaction kinetics investigation

Catalytic co-cracking of Fischer–Tropsch(FT) light distillate and methanol combines highly endothermic olefin cracking reaction with exothermic methanol conversion over ZSM-5 catalyst to produce light olefins through a nearly thermoneutral process. The kinetic behavior of co-cracking reactions was investigated by different feed conditions: methanol feed only, olefin feed only and co-feed of methanol with olefins or F–T distillate. The results showed that methanol converted to C2–C6 olefins in first-order parallel reaction at low space time, methylation and oligomerization–cracking prevailed for the co-feed of methanol and C2–C5 olefins, while for C6–C8 olefins,monomolecular cracking was the dominant reaction whether fed alone or co-fed with methanol. For FT distillate and methanol co-feed, alkanes were almost un-reactive, C3–C5 olefins were obtained as main products, accounting for 71 wt% for all products. A comprehensive co-cracking reaction scheme was proposed and the model parameters were estimated by the nonlinear least square method. It was verified by experimental data that the kinetic model was reliable to predict major product distribution for co-cracking of FT distillate with methanol and could be used for further reactor development and process design.

Since the adoption of the Paris Agreement, almost all countries have submitted their nationally determined contributions (NDCs) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat. Those submissions form the basis for the implementation of Paris Agreement. However, recent research [1] has shown that existing NDCs will not bring the world to the goal of limiting global temperature increase to below 2 °C above preindustrial levels, much less achieving the goal of limiting warming to 1.5 °C [2,3].

The high local recurrence rate of pancreatic cancer after surgery is one of the important risk factors affecting patient survival.The traditionally used silicone tube stent is not only complicated to operate but also lacks antitumor properties.The purpose of this study was to develop a dual-layer drug-coated pancreaticojejunostomy device.The coating consisted of two layers,an outer basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)coating layer and an inner nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel(nab-PTX)coating layer with chitosan as the drug-carrying medium.Due to the diffusion barrier from the outer coating,the release of nab-PTX from the inner layer was delayed and slowed down.We studied the degradation rates,mechanical properties,surface morphologies,drug release kinetics,promoting the growth of fibroblasts and antitumor properties of the coated stents.It was found that 100 ng of bFGF and 50µg of nab-PTX were suitable drug concentrations that can effectively promote the growth of fibroblasts and inhibit pancreatic cancer cells.The results also confirmed that the dual-layer drug-coated pancreaticojejunostomy device showed good antitumor activity both in vitro and in vivo without obvious systemic toxicity.In addition,the device has a suitable degradation rate.In conclusion,this biodegradable dual-layer drug-coated pancreaticojejunostomy device can potentially inhibit the local recurrence of pancreatic cancer after surgery and promote the healing of pancreaticointestinal anastomosis.This device has great potential to treat pancreatic cancer in the future.

Electrothermal bimorph-based scanning micromirrors typically employ standard silicon dioxide(SiO_(2))as the electrothermal isolation material.However,due to the brittle nature of SiO_(2),such micromirrors may be incapable to survive even slight collisions,which greatly limits their application range.To improve the robustness of electrothermal micromirrors,a polymer material is incorporated and partially replaces SiO_(2) as the electrothermal isolation and anchor material.In particular,photosensitive polyimide(PSPI)is used,which also simplifies the fabrication process.Here,PSPIbased electrothermal micromirrors have been designed,fabricated,and tested.The PSPI-type micromirrors achieved an optical scan angle of±19.6°and a vertical displacement of 370μm at only 4 Vdc.With a mirror aperture size of 1 mm×1 mm,the PSPI-type micromirrors survived over 200 g accelerations from either vertical or lateral directions in impact experiments.In the drop test,the PSPI-type micromirrors survived falls to a hard floor from heights up to 21 cm.In the standard frequency sweeping vibration test,the PSPI-type micromirrors survived 21 g and 29 g acceleration in the vertical and lateral vibrations,respectively.In all these tests,the PSPI-type micromirrors demonstrated at least 4 times better robustness than SiO_(2)-type micromirrors fabricated in the same batch.

Correlation of radiotherapy with prognosis of elderly patients with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer according to immunohistochemical subtyping

Objective: The present study examined the effect of radiotherapy on recurrence and survival in elderly patients with hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer.Methods: A retrospective analysis of 327 patients aged ≥65 years, with stage I-II, hormone receptor-positive breast cancer who underwent breast-conserving surgery and received endocrine therapy(ET) or radiotherapy plus endocrine therapy(ET+RT) was performed. Both groups were divided into luminal A type and luminal B type subgroups. Evaluation criteria were 5-year disease-free survival(DFS), local relapse rate(LRR), overall survival(OS), and distant metastasis rate(DMR).Results: There were significant differences in 5-year DFS [hazard ratio(HR)=1.59, 95% confidence interval(95% CI), 1.15-2.19;P=0.005] and LRR(HR=3.33, 95% CI, 1.51-7.34;P=0.003), whereas there were no significant differences in OS and DMR between ET group and ET+RT group. In luminal A type, there was no significant difference in 5-year DFS, LRR, OS and DMR between ET group and ET+RT group. In luminal B type,there were statistically significant differences in 5-year DFS(HR=2.19, 95% CI, 1.37-3.49;P=0.001), LRR(HR=5.45, 95% CI, 1.65-17.98;P=0.005), and OS(HR=1.75, 95% CI, 1.01-3.05;P=0.048) between ET group and ET+RT group. In the ET group, there were significant differences between luminal A type and luminal B type in5-year DFS(HR=1.84, 95% CI, 1.23-2.75;P=0.003) and OS(HR=1.76, 95% CI, 1.07-2.91;P=0.026).Conclusions: After breast-conserving surgery, radiotherapy can reduce the LRR and improve the DFS and OS of luminal B type elderly patients, whereas luminal A type elderly patients do not benefit from radiotherapy.Without radiotherapy, luminal A type patients have better DFS and OS than luminal B type patients.
