Magnetic property and recording performance of chemical deposition CoP thin films

The thickness of CoP thin films prepared by wet chemical deposition is of crucial importance on magnetic property and recording perform-ance. The coercivity of CoP films decreased with increasing film thickness. The coercivity was 45.37 kA m 1 at the thickness of 300 nm, and decreased to 21.65 kA m 1 at 5.7 μm. Recording performance tests indicate that, for drums with the same size, different recorded magnetic pole density have different thickness requirements. For 40 mm diameter magnetic drum, the optimal CoP thickness is 3～10 μm for 256 re-corded magnetic poles, 1～2 μm for 512 recorded magnetic poles, and 500～800 nm for 1024 recorded magnetic poles.

Different monolayers （ML） of Fe atoms were deposited on NiO （001） substrates or NiO underlayers using molecular beam epitaxy （MBE）, pulse laser deposition （PLD）, and magnetron sputtering （MS）. The magnetic properties and microstructure of the films were studied. The apparent magnetic dead layer （MDL） is found to exist at the NiO/Fe interfaces of the MBE sample （about 2 ML MDL）, the PLD sample （about 3 ML MDL）, and the MS sample （about 4 ML MDL）. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicates the presence of ionic Fe （Fe2＋ or Fe3＋） and metallic Ni at the NiO/Fe interfaces, which may be due to the chemical reactions between Fe and NiO layers. This also leads to the formation of MDL. The thickness of the MDL and the reaction products are related with the deposition energy of the atoms on the substrates. The interfacial reactions are effectively suppressed by inserting a thin Pt layer at the NiO/Fe interface.

As an interdisciplinary subject of medicine and artificial intelligence, intelligent diagnosis and treatment has received extensive attention. The standardization of Chinese medicine(CM) diagnosis has been always a bottleneck in the modernization and globalization of CM. Studying the application technology of artificial intelligence in CM and solving the problems is an urgent need for the development of modern CM in the era of artificial intelligence. Taking the pneumonia with dyspnea and cough in CM as an example, this article gives an overview of intelligent medical technology and application development, brings forward the present technical problems faced and the new advances in intelligent technology on CM diagnosis and treatment.

（Pt/Co）n/FeMn multilayers with perpendicular anisotropy （PA） were prepared by magnetron sputtering with Pt as the buffer layer and the capping layer. The dependence of perpendicular exchange bias （PEB）, Hex, on the thickness of the FeMn anfiferromagnet （AFM） layer is similar to that of in-plane exchange bias. The value of Hex for the （Pt/Co）3/FeMn multilayer reaches 22.3 kA/m. A thin Pt spacer was inserted between the Co/FeMn interface to enhance PEB. The PEB reaches the largest at 39.8 kA/m when the thickness of the Pt spacer is 0.4 nm.

BACKGROUND Patients undergoing lumbar spine surgery usually suffer severe pain in the postoperative *** erector spinae plane block(ESPB),first published in 2016,can anesthetize the ventral and dorsal rami of thoracic nerves and produce an extensive multi-dermatomal sensory *** To assess whether bilateral ultrasound-guided ESPB at a lower thoracic level could improve pain control and quality of recovery in patients undergoing lumbar spine *** A total of 60 patients aged 18-80 years scheduled to undergo lumbar spine surgery with general anesthesia were randomly assigned to two groups:ESPB group(preoperative bilateral ultrasound-guided ESPB at T10 vertebral level)and control group(no preoperative ESPB).Both groups received standard general *** main indicator was the duration to the first patient controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA)*** In the ESPB group,the duration to the first PCIA bolus was significantly longer than that in the control group(h)[8.0(4.5,17.0)vs 1.0(0.5,6),P<0.01],and resting and coughing numerical rating scale(NRS)scores at 48 h post operation were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups regarding resting and coughing NRS scores at 24 h post *** consumption during the operation was significantly lower in the ESPB group than in the control group(P<0.01),while there was no significant difference between the two groups regarding morphine consumption at 24 or 48 h post *** the ESPB group,Modified Observer’s Assessment of Alertness/Sedation score within 20 min after extubation was higher and duration in the post-anesthesia care unit was shorter than those in the control group(P<0.01).CONCLUSION In patients undergoing lumbar spine surgery,ultrasound-guided ESPB at a lower thoracic level improves the analgesic effect,reduces opioid consumption,and improves postoperative recovery.

Evaluation of drought tolerance in ZmVPP1-overexpressing transgenic inbred maize lines and their hybrids

The vacuolar proton-pumping pyrophosphatase gene(VPP)is often used to enhance plant drought tolerance via genetic *** this study,the drought tolerance of four transgenic inbred maize lines overexpressing ZmVPP1(PH4CV-T,PH6WC-T,Chang7-2-T,and Zheng58-T)and their transgenic hybrids was evaluated at various *** normal and drought conditions,the height and fresh weight were greater for the four transgenic inbred maize lines than for the wild-type(WT)controls at the germination and seedling ***,the transgenic plants exhibited enhanced photosynthetic efficiency at the seedling *** irrigated and non-irrigated fields,the four transgenic lines grew normally,but with increased ear weight and yield compared with the WT ***,the ear weight and yield of the transgenic hybrids resulting from the PH4CV-T×PH6WC-W and Chang7-2-T×Zheng58-W crosses increased in the non-irrigated *** results demonstrated that the growth and drought tolerance of four transgenic inbred maize lines with improved photosynthesis were enhanced by the overexpression of ***,the Chang7-2 and PH4CV transgenic lines may be useful for future genetic improvements of maize hybrids to increase drought tolerance.

Modulating the magnetic anisotropy of ferromagnetic thin films is crucial for constructing high-density and energy efficient magnetic memory devices. Ta/W(N)/Co/Pt multilayers were deposited on silicon substrates by magnetron sputtering at room temperature. The influences of N dopant on the magnetic anisotropy of the multilayers were investigated by preparing the sample with N incorporation. The results indicate that when sputtering W target with only argon gas(Ar), Ta/W/Co/Pt sample shows inplane magnetic anisotropy(IMA). When sputtering W target at a different amount of N_(2) and Ar atmosphere, it can induce perpendicular magnetic anisotropy(PMA) for proper N-doped Ta/W(N)/Co/Pt sample. When the gas flow ratio of Ar:N_(2) is 16:6, the effective magnetic anisotropy constant reach its maximum value of 1.68×10^(5) J·m^(-3),which enhanced by about 400% than our past works(annealing treatment is necessary to induce PMA in Pt/Co/MgO system). X-ray diffraction(XRD) and X-ray reflection(XRR) results demonstrate that N dopants can effectively promote the formation of b-W phase and reduce the roughness of W(N)/Co interface, which are beneficial for PMA. X-ray electron spectroscopy(XPS) analysis reveals that N doping redistributes Co charges, nitrogen ions participate in electron allocation of Co and attract some electrons of Co to form orbital hybridization between Co3 d and N 2 p. This may be another important reason for the PMA formation.

Degradation of a metallic film under harsh thermal-mechanical-electrical coupling field conditions determines its service temperature and *** this work,the self-heating degradation behaviors of Pt thin films above 1000℃were studied in situ by TEM at the *** Pt films degraded mainly through void nucleation and growth on the Pt-SiN_(x)*** preferentially formed at the grain boundary and triple junction intersections with the *** temperatures above 1040℃,the voids nucleated at both the grain boundaries and inside the Pt grains.A stress simulation of the suspended membrane suggests the existence of local tensile stress in the Pt film,which promotes the nucleation of voids at the Pt-Si *** grain-boundary-dominated mass transportation renders the voids grow preferentially at GBs and triple junctions in a Pt ***,under the influence of an applied current,the voids that nucleated inside Pt grains grew to a large size and accelerated the degradation of the Pt film.
