Equity is not *** word‘equity’focuses on the individual and takes a need-based approach,whereas‘equality’treats everyone equally irrespective of the *** equity aims to provide equal access to vaccines to people all around the globe[1].The World Health Organization(WHO)had set a target for each country for vaccinating 40%of their population by the end of this year,but many countries are far off from the target[1].Low-and middle-income countries(LMIC),with some exceptions,suffer from a polarisation of vaccinations rates,with the latter suffering the most[1,2].

【目的】印度大部分露尾甲在腐烂的水果和蔬菜上大量发生,其种群在一年中表现出明显的季节性波动。据推测,露尾甲种群很大程度上依赖于温度、湿度和降雨之类的环境因子。【方法】本研究调查了2013-2015年印度加尔各答市区外围一地Garia的露尾甲物种组成、季节性发生和种群结构,记录了其活跃时期、季节性多度和影响其发生的因素。【结果】调查期间在调查地共发现数目不等的6个物种。其中最常见露尾甲为Urophorus humeralis,它是个体数量最多的物种且在一年中几乎所有月份均有发生;其他常见物种为Epuraea ocularis和***。不同物种在食物发酵的连续阶段进入诱捕器中。最初12 h被捕获的是Epuraea属的种类,而在诱捕器中食物严重腐烂的后续阶段发现最多的是***。在合适范围的气温(22~29℃)和相对湿度(82.5%~86%)下,物种丰富度最高,表明这些环境变量对露尾甲种群具有重要影响。【结论】加尔各答主要水果和蔬菜在季风后季节种植,在季风后季节取食这些作物的露尾甲发生量(物种丰富度和多度)最高。这一研究结果可能有助于制定针对这些甲虫的有效田间治理策略。

A New Technique for Leakage Reduction in 65 nm Footerless Domino Circuits

A new circuit technique for 65 nm technology is proposed in this paper for reducing the subthreshold and gate oxide leakage currents in idle and non idle mode of operation for footerless domino circuits. In this technique a p-type and an n-type leakage controlled transistors (LCTs) are introduced between the pull-up and pull-down network and the gate of one is controlled by the source of the other. For any combination of input, one of the LCT will operate near its cut off region and will increase the resistance between supply voltage and ground resulting in reduced leakage current. Furthermore, the leakage current is suppressed at the output inverter circuit by inserting a transistor below the n-type transistor of the inverter offering more resistive path between supply voltage and ground. The proposed technique is applied on benchmark circuits reduction of active power consumption is observed from 10.9% to 44.76% at different temperature variations. For same benchmark circuits, operating at two clock modes and giving low and high inputs at 25℃ and 110℃ temperatures the maximum leakage power saving of 98.9% is achieved when compared to standard footerless domino logic circuits.

BACKGROUND Limb length discrepancy(LLD)after total knee arthroplasty(TKA)has been considered as one of the reasons for the unsatisfactory ***,there is no consensus about the extent of LLD that can be considered as clinically *** To evaluate the incidence of radiographic LLD and its impact on functional outcome following *** All randomized-controlled trial and observational studies on LLD in TKA,published till 22nd June 2020,were systematically searched and *** primary outcome was“limb lengthening or LLD after TKA”.The secondary outcomes included“assessment of LLD in varus/valgus deformity”and“impact of LLD on the functional outcome”.RESULTS Of 45 retrieved studies,qualitative and quantitative assessment of data was performed from eight studies and six studies,*** studies(n=1551)reported the average limb lengthening of 5.98 *** LLD after TKA was ranging from 0.4±10 mm to 15.3±2.88 *** incidence of postoperative radiographic LLD was reported in 44%to 83.3%of *** was no difference in the preoperative and postoperative LLD(MD-1.23;95%CI:-3.72,1.27;P=0.34).Pooled data of two studies(n=219)revealed significant limb lengthening in valgus deformity than varus(MD-2.69;95%CI:-5.11,0.27;P=0.03).The pooled data of three studies(n=611)showed significantly worse functional outcome in patients with LLD of≥10 mm compared to<10 mm(standard MD 0.58;95%CI:0.06,1.10;P=0.03).CONCLUSION Limb lengthening after TKA is common,and it is significantly more in valgus than varus *** LLD(≥10 mm)is associated with suboptimal functional outcome.

Accuracy of preoperative CT liver volumetry in living donor hepatectomy and its clinical implications

Background: An accurate preoperative volumetric assessment of donor liver is essential for successful living donor liver transplant by ensuring adequate remnant and graft recipient weight ratio (GRWR). Methods: The study cohort consisted of 744 right lobe (RL), 65 left lobe (LL) and 33 left lateral sector (LLS) grafts from July 2010 to January 2014. A semi-automated interactive commercial software called AW Volume share 6 was used for volumetry. Bland Altman plot was used for assessing the agreement between estimated graft weight (EGW) and actual graft weight (AGW). Results: There was no statistically significant difference between EGW and AGW for RL graft weight (722±134 vs. 717±126 gm;P=0.06). Although Bland Altman graph showed that 95% limits of agreement was more in LL (?164 to +110) than RL (?156 to +147) and LLS grafts (?137 to +239), CT scan significantly overestimated LL graft weight (EGW =460±118 gm vs. AGW =433±102 gm;P=0.003) and underestimated LLS graft weight (EGW =203±48 gm vs. AGW =254±49 gm;Pderestimate LLS graft weight. This should be factored in when selecting LL graft by taking higher GRWR.

Cr(VI) Ions Removal from Aqueous Solutions Using Natural Adsorbents – FTIR Studies

The ability of eight natural adsorbents were investigated for adsorptive removal of Cr(VI) from aqueous solutions. Various physico-chemical parameters such as pH, initial metal ion concentration, adsorbent dose level and equi-librium contact time were optimized in batch adsorption technique. A detailed Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR) study of adsorbents and Cr(VI) loaded adsorbents at the optimized condition was carried out to identify the different functional groups that were responsible for the adsorption. The important functional groups like hydroxyl, alkene, aromatic nitro, carboxilate anion, silicon oxide, sulphonic acid etc. were present in the natural adsorbent and were responsible for the chemical adsorption of Cr(VI) from aqueous solutions. The sorption energy calculated from Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm indicated that the adsorption process were chemical in nature.
