This study comprehensively assessed long-term vegetation changes and forest fragmentation dynamics in the Himalayan temperate region of Pakistan from 1989 to *** satellite images,including Landsat-5 TM and Landsat-8 Operational Land Imager(OLI),were chosen for subsequent assessments in October 1989,2001,2011 and *** classified maps of 1989,2001,2011 and 2019 were created using the maximum likelihood ***-classification comparison showed an overall accuracy of 82.5%and a Kappa coefficient of 0.79 for the 2019 *** revealed a drastic decrease in closed-canopy and open-canopy forests by 117.4 and 271.6 km^(2),respectively,and an increase in agriculture/farm cultivation by 1512.8 km^(2).The two-way ANOVA test showed statistically significant differences in the area of various cover *** fragmentation was evaluated using the Landscape Fragmentation Tool(LFT v2.0)between 1989 and *** large forest core(>2.00 km^(2))decreased from 149.4 to 296.7 km^(2),and a similar pattern was observed in medium forest core(1.00-2.00 km^(2))*** the contrary,the small core(<1.00 km^(2))forest increased from 124.8 to 145.3 km^(2) in *** perforation area increased by 296.9 km^(2),and the edge effect decreased from 458.9 to 431.7 km^(2).The frequency of patches also increased by 119.1 km^(2).The closed and open canopy classes showed a decreasing trend with an annual rate of 0.58%and 1.35%,*** broad implications of these findings can be seen in the studied region as well as other global ecological *** serve as an imperative baseline for afforestation and reforestation operations,highlighting the urgent need for efficient management,conservation,and restoration *** on these findings,sustainable land-use policies may be put into place that support local livelihoods,protect ecosystem services,and conserve biodiversity.

The presented study deals with the investigation of nonlinear Bogoyavlenskii equations with conformable time-derivative which has great importance in plasma physics and non-inspectoral scattering *** wave solutions of this nonlinear conformable model are constructed by utilizing two powerful analytical approaches,namely,the modified auxiliary equation method and the Sardar sub-equation *** novel soliton solutions are extracted using these ***,3D surface graphs,contour plots and parametric graphs are drawn to show dynamical behavior of some obtained solutions with the aid of symbolic software such as *** constructed solutions will help to understand the dynamical framework of nonlinear Bogoyavlenskii equations in the related physical phenomena.

Dinitrophenyl-oxadiazole compounds:Design strategy,synthesis,and properties of a series of new melt-cast explosives

Melt-cast explosives are the most widely used energetic materials in military composite explosives,researchers have been unremittingly exploring high-energy and insensitive melt-cast *** this work,a series of dinitrophenyl-oxadiazole compounds were designed and *** compounds have an ideal low melting point(80-97℃),good detonation performance(detonation velocity D=6455-6971 m/s,detonation pressure P=18-19 GPa)and extreme insensitive nature(impact sensitivity≥60 J,friction sensitivity>360 N).All these compounds were well characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,elemental *** 2,3 were unambiguously confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction *** a result,their overall properties are superior to traditional melt-cast explosives trinitrotoluene(TNT)and dinitroanisole(DNAN)which may have excellent potential applications in insensitive melt-cast explosives.

An integrated land change modeler and distributed hydrological model approach for quantifying future urban runoff dynamics

Climate and land use changes have a significant impact on the runoff generation process in urban environments, and these effects could get worse in the future. The combined contributions of these changes have increased the risk of ***, there is a need for integrated modeling to better understand the runoff variability, especially in small urban catchments. To quantify and separate the effects of land-use changes and climate change on the hydrological response of urban catchments with a distributed hydrological model(Storm Water Management Model, SWMM), this study introduces a new integrated approach based on the Machine Learning based land use change modeler and climate change scenarios under *** on supervised classification and land use change model analysis, accumulated impervious area increase from 22%(in2023) to 33%(in 2060) was observed in the study area. Furthermore, integrating this projected increase in imperviousness with future climate change into SWMM by considering three different scenarios i.e., S1(Climate Change), S2(Combined Land Use and Climate Change), and S3(Land use Change) resulted that climate change could cause an increase in runoff from 13.2% to18.3% in peak runoff and the contribution of land use could range from 9.1% to 18.6%. Similarly, in response to the coupled effects of climate and land-use change, the runoff would likely change from 24.53% to 39.66%. Conclusively, the study showed that despite climate change, intensive urban development by the substitution of impervious surfaces could also have a severe impact on the microclimate and hydrology of small catchments. Lastly, this study could provide a way forward for the future planning and management of water resources in small catchments which could be extended to larger catchments.

A large-scale T（late Cretaceous Turonian） polygonal-fault system influenced by regional tectonic stress in the Songliao Basin， Northeast China

The Songliao Basin in northeast China is one of the largest petroliferous basins worldwide， and features the T2 fault system， consisting of numerous minor extensional normal faults. This study combines high-resolution 3D seismic datasets to detail the characteristics of the T2 fault system， contributing two key findings: (1) The T2 faults are confirmed as polygonal fault systems， characterized by closely spaced， layer-bounded faults with small throws， high dip angles， and random orientations， forming intricate polygonal networks. (2) The study reveals the influence of tectonic stresses on the fault system， showing spatial variations across different tectonic units. In depressions， T2 faults exhibit short lengths， small throws， high density， and multiple directions. In contrast， in inverted anticline belts， they have longer lengths， bigger throws， higher density， and concordant orientations. These variations demonstrate the impact of tectonic inversion on the development of T2 faults. The significance of this research lies in presenting a typical polygonal fault system developed in a deep lake succession and was superposed the influence by regional tectonic stress coeval with its development. The new insights facilitate a reevaluation of the T2 fault system's role in hydrocarbon migration and accumulation within the Songliao Basin.

Thoracic Ganglioneuroma: A Rare Neural Tumor (Case Report and Literature Review)

Ganglioneuroma is an extremely rare tumor that is derived from neural crest. Many ganglioneuroma cases are detected incidentally unless they are large enough to cause compressive symptoms. We report an 18-year-old patient with posterior mediastinal ganglioneuroma which was abutting the descending aorta. The patient underwent successful resection by thoracoscopic approach and was followed up for one year with no complications. In summary, a detailed review with experts in both radiology and pathology is mandated to diagnose these tumors. Informed consent was obtained from the patient.

BACKGROUND Detection of early chronic changes in the kidney allograft is important for timely intervention and long-term *** and novel ultrasound-based investigations are being increasingly used for this purpose with variable *** To compare the diagnostic performance of resistive index(RI)and shear wave elastography(SWE)in the diagnosis of chronic fibrosing changes of kidney allograft with histopathological *** This is a cross-sectional and comparative study.A total of 154 kidney transplant recipients were included in this study,which was conducted at the Departments of Transplantation and Radiology,Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation,Karachi,Pakistan,from August 2022 to February *** consecutive patients with increased serum creatinine levels and reduced glomerular filtration rate(GFR)after three months of transplantation were enrolled in this *** and RI were performed and the findings of these were evaluated against the kidney allograft biopsy results to determine their diagnostic *** The mean age of all patients was 35.32±11.08 *** these,126(81.8%)were males and 28(18.2%)were *** mean serum creatinine in all patients was 2.86±1.68 mg/dL and the mean estimated GFR was 35.38±17.27 mL/min/1.73 *** allograft biopsy results showed chronic changes in 55(37.66%)*** sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value(PPV),and negative predictive value(NPV)of SWE for the detection of chronic allograft damage were 93.10%,96.87%%,94.73%,and 95.87%,respectively,and the diagnostic accuracy was 95.45%.For RI,the sensitivity,specificity,PPV,and NPV were 76.92%,83.33%,70.17%,and 87.62%,respectively,and the diagnostic accuracy was 81.16%.CONCLUSION The results from this study show that SWE is more sensitive and specific as compared to RI in the evaluation of chronic allograft *** can be of great help during the routine follow-up of kidney transplant recipients for screening a

BACKGROUND Castleman's disease(CD)is a rare lymphoproliferative,emulating both benign and malignant *** diagnosis of CD is formulated upon the combination of clinical and laboratory criteria and ultimately confirmed by histopathological *** to its rarity,CD presents a challenge in treatment selection,with available options encompassing surgery,chemotherapy,and autologous stem cell ***,studies suggest that surgical resection of the lesion is the most effective treatment modality,especially for unicentric CD(UCD).CASE SUMMARY Here,we describe the case of a 25-year-old woman who presented with painless left thigh swelling for 10 *** had been following a low-fat diet to lose weight and had normal laboratory *** resonance imaging revealed a wellcircumscribed,demarcated cystic lesion located in the left inguinal region with eccentrically positioned signal void vascular structures,measuring 4.3 cm×3 cm×3.2 cm,likely of lymphoid *** patient underwent surgical resection,and the final histopathology showed a vascular proliferation and hyalinization of the vessel walls,along with atretic germinal centers traversed by penetrating vessels,consistent with *** patient was discharged home one day after the procedure in good condition,with a follow-up appointment scheduled in our outpatient *** Although surgical resection is the mainstay for UCD,a multidisciplinary approach is needed due the lack of specific diagnostic features and treatments.
