Estrogen is imperative to mammalian reproductivity,metabolism,and ***,the hormone activating estrogen receptor(ERs)αcan cause major safety concerns due to the enrichment of ERαin female tissues and certain *** contrast,ERβis more broadly expressed in metabolic tissues and the ***,it is desirable to generate selective ERβagonist conjugates for maximizing the therapeutic effects of ERs while minimizing the risk. of ERα***,we report the design and production of small molecule conjugates containing selective non-steroid ERβagonists Gtx878 or *** of aged mice with our synthesized conjugates improved aging-associated declines in insulin sensitivity,visceral adipose integrity,sk.letal muscle function,and sk.n health,with validation in *** further uncovered the benefits of ERβconjugates in the sk.n using two inducible sk.n injury mouse models,showing increased sk.n basal cell proliferation,epidermal thick.ess,and wound ***,our ERβ-selective agonist conjugates offer novel therapeutic potential to improve aging-associated conditions and aid in rejuvenating sk.n health.

ABSTRACT The geologic features indicative of Cu, Pb, Zn mineral deposits in a area are fractures （structure）, and host rock.sediments. Datasets used include Cu, Pb, Zn deposit points record, geological data, remote sensing imagery （Landsat TM5）. The mineral potential of the study area is assessed by means of GIS based geodata integration techniques for generating predictive maps. GIS predictive model for Cu, Pb, Zn potential was carried out in this study area （Weixi） using weight of evidence. The weights of evidence modeling techniques is the data driven method in which the spatial associations of the indicative geologic features with the k.own mineral occurrences in the area are quantified, and weights statistically assigned to the geologic features. The best predictive map generated by this method defines 24 % the area having potential for Cu, Pb, Zn mineralization further exploration work.

Sacral dimples are the most common cutaneous anomaly detected during neonatal spinal examination. Congenital dermal sinus tract, a rare type of spinal dysraphism, occurs along the midline neuraxis from occiput down to the sacral region. It is often diagnosed in the presence of a sacral dimple together with sk.n signs, local infection, meningitis, abscess, or abnormal neurological examination. We report a case of acute flaccid paralysis with sensory level in a 4 mo old female infant with sacral dimple, diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging to be a paraspinal subdural abscess. Surgical exploration revealed a congenital dermal sinus tract extending from the subdural abscess down to the sacral dimple and open to the exterior with a minute opening.

Induction of antitumor immunity by vaccination is one of the major current immunother- apy strategies. We present a mathematical model of the competition between immune cells and mammary carcinogenesis under the effect of Triplex vaccine. The model describes both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses against cancer cells. The control of the cancer cells growth occurs through the application of the pulse vaccination. Here we determine the relationship between the strength of the vaccine and the time required to eradicate cancer cells, and we present some simulations to illustrate our theoretical results, namely, the total cancer cells depletion, which is influenced by competition occurs among the immune and cancer cells.

In the Occupied Palestinian Territories, the Gaza Strip has suffered regular cycles of reconstruction due to systematic destruction during Israeli military operations, as in 2006, 2008–2009, 2012, and 2014. In this context of ongoing conflict this article aims to identify, rank. and discuss the most important factors influencing post-disaster reconstruction project management(PDRPM) for housing in the Gaza Strip. A set of k.y factors that influence PDRPM were assembled as a result of a global literature review. A questionnaire survey was conducted, and the obtained data were analyzed using a relative importance index for each PDRPM factor. Findings are presented in six groups: housing approaches, organizational behavior, project funding, supply chain and logistics, communication and coordination, and PDRPM context. Findings indicate that the most significant factors that influence PDRPM for housing provision in the Gaza Strip are related to issues associated with financial resources. It is critical that sufficient funding should be available in order to allow organizations to undertak. housing projects in an effective and efficient way. Joint efforts are required from international donors and local organizations in order to effectively manage financial resources with the ultimate goal of improving PDRPM for housing provision.

The quantification of phosphorus(P) in bulk.soil and P distribution in different size fractions of water-stable aggregates(WSAs)are important for assessing potential P loss through runoff. We evaluated available and total P distribution within WSAs of a sitty clay to clay soil in a long-term fertility experiment of a rice-wheat cropping system in India. Surface soil samples were collected from seven plots amended with NPk.fertilizers in combination with or without organic amendments, farmyard manure(FYM), green manure(GM), and paddy straw(PS). The plot with no NPk.fertilizers or organic amendments was set as a control. The soil samples were separated by wet sieving into four soil aggregate size fractions: large macroaggregates(> 2.0 mm), small macroaggregates(0.25–2.0 mm), fine microaggregates(0.05–0.25 mm), and a silt + clay-sized fraction( small macroaggregates > fine microaggregates> large macroaggregates. Within a size class, aggregate-associated available and total P contents in the organically amended soil were in the following order: FYM > PS ≥ GM. The available P content of the microaggregates( 0.25 mm), and the total P content of the microaggregates was 4-to 5-times higher than that of the macroaggregates. The use of cold thermal storage systems in low-temperature industrial applications is considered one of the most promising ways of improving energy efficiency and reducing the use of power during peak.*** this study,the thermal performance of a shell-and-tube cold storage system under realistic operating conditions is investigated *** proposed model is developed based on energy balances and then validated using existing experimental data from the ***/water is used as the heat transfer fluid(HTF)and the phase transition phenomena in the phase change material(PCM)is simulated using the enthalpy-porosity *** influence of several design and operating parameters,including the HTF mass flow rate,HTF temperature,PCM type,and volume,on the cold storage performance during the crystallization process is presented and *** numerical results show that increasing the HTF mass flow rate accelerates the PCM crystallization ***,the delivery periods of constant thermal power and constant HTF outlet temperature are *** HTF inlet temperature has a significant effect on the cold storage performance,and the complete charging period is reduced by approximately 37%when the HTF inlet temperature is reduced from−4°C to−7°*** the number of tubes in the cold storage unit is concluded to significantly improve the thermal performance of the system,and using water/ice as a cold storage medium is more suitable than using the commercial PCMs RT2-HC and ***,the proposed numerical model for cold storage systems can be successfully used to design and simulate their realistic operation under different conditions.
