Development and experiment of the intelligent control system for rhizosphere temperature of aeroponic lettuce via the Internet of Things

Currently,in the conventional aeroponic system the collection of data for crop performance is quite slow,whereas such data are typically collected ***,the root zone temperature is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth in aeroponics *** study aimed to obtain temperature and relative humidity data inside an aeroponic system based on the Internet of things(IoT)and automatically cool the root zone using a novel low-cost effective technique for cooling via a cooling fan connected to the Arduino *** results revealed that the newly designed system could monitor and record the data in real-time on an internet server per ***,the temperature and humidity data can be displayed on the smartphone application,and be sent to the personal email weekly as an excel *** system was able to maintain the temperatures inside the roots chamber between 28.7℃-29.2℃ while the maximum external temperature was 38.1℃,and the average temperature in the traditional aeroponics system was fluctuating between 29.5℃-31.5℃.The newly automated cooling system root zone system of this study showed an optimization of lettuce growth *** significantly increased the lettuce absorbance of inorganic nutrients such as N,P,and K by 45.5%,66.6%,and 45.0%,respectively,also revealed an increment of fresh weight,total chlorophyll,ascorbic acid,total carbohydrate,and total amino acids by 131.0%,26.2%,41.9%,30.7%,6.2%,respectively in comparison with the conventional aeroponic ***,this study may play a significant role in the aeroponic monitoring and control,for providing more suitable growth parameters and achieving the least human interaction.

Proton-Proton Collisions in View of Thermo-Statistical Approach

The data of charged particles produced in proton-proton collisions extracted from Durham particle data group at energy ranges √s = 6.3 - 17 GeV and at 0.9 - 7 TeV are investigated in the framework of Tsallis thermo-statistics and the Vlasov time dynamics. The analysis can describe the experimental data well all-over the considered energies and rapidity intervals. The variation of the collision parameters (chemical potential, entropy index and the time of evolution) is studied and discussed as a function of the final state temperature. According to the obtained result, a scenario, and a script of the time evolution for the particle production is simulated by the pp collision.

Interaction of ²⁸Si with Emulsion Nuclei at 4.5 AGeV/c in View of Thermo-Statistical Approach

In this work, we study some changes of nuclear matter in the interactions of 28Si with emulsion nuclei at 4.5 AGeV/c. From the experimental quantities investigated using Tsallis’ statistics, we deduced the temperature, entropy density and non-equilibrium factor of the nuclear medium. These obtained parameters were used to reveal variations in the nuclear matter at the stated interaction energy. The results that came up from this study were compared with their corresponding results obtained from other heavy ion collision experiments at wide energy range.

Signs of Phase Transition in High Energy Proton-Proton Collisions

The present work aims to study the possible states of matter and the location of phase boundaries between hadronic gas and the quark-gluon plasma QGP. The boundary at the hadron freeze-out is also considered. Proton-proton collisions at a wide range of center of mass energies are used to examine the phase transition (entropy-temperature) diagram. Local thermodynamic equilibrium is assumed at different intervals of rapidity space. The entropy of the system is expressed in terms of the multiplicity of hadron production in each interval. However, the local temperature is estimated using the average transverse momentum. The values of the critical temperatures are found at the boundaries of the phases with a quite clear description of the states.

目前的雾化栽培系统采集作物根域环境参数需要花费大量的时间,并且采集过程要耗费大量的人力。根区温度是影响雾化栽培植物生长的最重要因素之一。因此,本研究的目的是开发基于物联网的雾培作物根区温湿度测控系统,用于获取雾化栽培系统内的温度和相对湿度数据,通过与Arduino板连接的冷却风扇,采用低成本高效的新型冷却技术自动冷却根部区域,使作物获得较优的根区温度环境。系统开发完成后的测试结果表明,该系统能够在Internet服务器上实时监控和记录数据,同时它还可以显示在智能手机应用程序上,同时可以excel表格形式把温度和湿度数据每周发送给个人电子邮件。当最大外部温度为38.1°C时,该系统能将根区温度控制在28.7-29.2°C之间,而传统的雾化栽培系统的平均温度在29.5-31.5°C之间波动。雾化栽培试验结果表明,本文开发的自动化冷却根系系统使生菜的生长速度明显增加,品质明显提高,N、P、K等无机养分对莴苣的吸收率分别提高了45.5%、66.6%、45%,新鲜体重、总叶绿素、抗坏血酸、总碳水化合物和总氨基酸分别比常规航空系统增加了131%、26.2%、41.9%、30.7%、6.2%。此外,抗氧化性(DPPH和FRAP试验)也有显著的增加。因此,我们的研究可能在未来智能雾化栽培中发挥重要作用,可以雾化栽培作物提供更合适的根区生长环境参数,并且可以大大减少人工。

Corneal sensitivity,ocular surface health and tear film stability after punctal plug therapy of aqueous deficient dry eye

AIM： To evaluate the effect of punctal occlusion using thermosensitive（smart plug） versus silicone plug for management of aqueous deficient dry eye on cornea sensitivity, ocular surface health and tear film ***： A comparative prospective interventiona case study included 45 patients with bilateral severe form of aqueous deficient dry eye. In each patient, the smar plug was inserted in the lower punctum of the right eye which was considered as study group 1 and silicone plug was inserted in the lower punctum of the left eye o the same patient which was considered as study group2. All patients were subjected to careful history taking and questionnaire for subjective assessment of severity of symptoms. Corneal sensitivity, corneal fluorescein rose bengal staining, Schirmer＇s I test, tear film break up time and conjunctival impression cytology were performed pre and 1, 3 and 6mo post plug ***： A statistically significant improvement in subjective and objective manifestations occurred following treatment with both types of plugs（P 〈0.01）The thermosensitive plug caused significant overal improvement, decrease in frequency of application o tear substitutes and improvement of conjunctiva impression cytology parameters in the inserted side（P 〈0.01）. Canaliculitis was reported in two eyes（4.4% following punctal occlusion using thermosensitive plug（study group 1）. Spontaneous plug loss occurred in 21eyes（46.6%） in the silicone plug group（study group 2）.CONCLUSION： Improvement of subjective and objective manifestations of aqueous deficient dry eye occurs following punctal plug occlusion. Thermosensitive plug has good patient＇s compliance with fewer complications and lower rates of loss compared to the silicone plug.

A recent study by Zoufaly et *** in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine describes encouraging data from the first severe COVID-19 patient successfully treated with human recombinant soluble angiotensin-converting enzyme-2(hrsACE2).1 The published data document upon treatment of an adaptive immune response,the disappearance of the virus swiftly from the serum,the nasal cavity and lungs,and a reduction of inflammatory cytokine levels that are critical for COVID-19 ***,the use of hrsACE2 did not impede the generation of neutralizing antibodies,leading to a significant clinical improvement of the treated patient.

Effect of single subconjunctival injection of bevacizumab on primary pterygium:clinical,histopathological and immunohistochemical study

AIM：To evaluate the effect（clinically,histopathologically and immunohistochemically） and safety of a single intrapterygium injection of ***：Prospective interventional study comprised 40 eyes of 40 patients with primary fleshy pterygia who attended the Outpatient Clinic of Department of Ophthalmology,Assiut University Hospitals,Egypt from May 2015 to May *** were randomly classified into 2 groups：the first group received a single intralesional injection of bevacizumab（Avastin;Genentech,San Francisco,CA,USA）;the second group comprised patients who did not receive subconjunctival *** of pterygium and conjunctival auto graft was done in both *** excised pterygium tissues were subjected to histopathological and immunohistochemical ***：The study comprised 40 eyes of 40 patients（33 men,7 women） of age range from 31-58 *** study group included 22 *** control group included 18 eyes.A decrease in the vascularity of the pterygium was noted in all injected *** mean vessel count was higher in non-injected pterygia than that in injected pterygia and the difference was statistically significant（P=0.001）.Also,the mean vessel count in both groups was significantly higher than normal conjunctive（P=0.005 and 0.001）.A statistically significant difference in vascular endothelial growth factor（VEGF） expression between injected and non-injected cases was detected in the epithelial,stromal and endothelial cells（P=0.0001,0.016,0.014）.No serious intraoperative complications occurred in both ***：The use of single intra lesional injection of Avastin in pterygium decreased vascularity and decreased VEGF expression in injected pterygium after one *** study proved the effect of single intra lesional injection of Avastin on *** studies may enable limiting the need for surgery and improve quality of life for patients with pterygia.

Enable Excel-Based Basic Cybersecurity Features for End Users by Using Python-Excel Integration

In the digital age, the global character of the Internet has significantly improved our daily lives by providing access to large amounts of knowledge and allowing for seamless connections. However, this enormously interconnected world is not without its risks. Malicious URLs are a powerful menace, masquerading as legitimate links while holding the intent to hack computer systems or steal sensitive personal information. As the sophistication and frequency of cyberattacks increase, identifying bad URLs has emerged as a critical aspect of cybersecurity. This study presents a new approach that enables the average end-user to check URL safety using Microsoft Excel. Using the powerful VirusTotal API for URL inspections, this study creates an Excel add-in that integrates Python and Excel to deliver a seamless, user-friendly interface. Furthermore, the study improves Excel’s capabilities by allowing users to encrypt and decrypt text communications directly in the spreadsheet. Users may easily encrypt their conversations by simply typing a key and the required text into predefined cells, enhancing their personal cybersecurity with a layer of cryptographic secrecy. This strategy democratizes access to advanced cybersecurity solutions, making attentive digital integrity a feature rather than a daunting burden.

Investigation of Neutrino-Nucleon Interaction through Intermediate Vector Boson (IVB)

This work deals with the interaction of neutrino with the nucleon considering data taken from different experiments. It is assumed that the interaction of neutrino with nucleons go through the intermediate vector boson (IVB) which may be the W or Z with effective mass of the order of 80 GeV. The neutrino wave function is obtained via perturbation technique to calculate the weak leptonic current. On the other hand, the quark current is estimated using the measured experimental data of deep inelastic scattering of neutrino-nucleon interaction. Eventually the total interaction transition matrix is calculated as a function of momentum transfer square, q2 and qualitatively compared with the available experimental data. Besides, a comparative study is also done to explore the influence of the target composition during the neutrino weak interactions. In this context an investigation of neutrino-proton and neutrino-neutron interactions are carried out to calculate the deep inelastic cross section in both cases.
