Chalcopyrite related compounds have attracted much attention in recent years due to their promising thermoelectric *** this research we report Fe doping in chalcopyrite-type CuGaTe_(2)and its influence on structural and thermal transport *** synthesized polycrystalline samples with composition CuGa_(1-x)Fe_(x)Te_(2)with x=0.0 to 0.05 by spark plasma sintering *** structural analysis powder X-ray diffraction and electron probe micro analysis were *** of Fe in CuGaTe_(2)was found to be very small,and other phases like FeTe_(2)and CuTe were *** conductivity showed a significant decrease with the addition of Fe up to x=0.02,which started to increase for x≥*** the other hand,the addition of Fe caused slight increase in the power factor from 1.3mW/K^(2)m for x=0.0 to 1.6 mW/K^(2)m for x=0.02 at T=770 *** a result,ZT peak value of 0.92 is recorded for x=0.02 at 870 K,which corresponds to an enhancement of 60%from that of non-doped CuGaTe_(2).This work demonstrates that thermoelectric properties of compositematerials can be greatly improved by controlling its microstructure.

This paper presents the optical navigation results of the asteroid explorer Hayabusa2 during the final rendezvous approach phase with the asteroid *** orbit determination of Hayabusa2 during the cruising phase uses a triangulation-based method that estimates the probe and asteroid orbits using the directions from which they are ***,the asteroid size is available as optical information just prior to *** size information allows us to estimate the relative distance between the probe and the asteroid with high accuracy,that is strongly related to the success or failure of the *** this study,the relative distance and asteroid size in real space are simultaneously estimated in real time by focusing on the rate of change of the asteroid size observed in sequential *** real-time estimation results coincided with those of precise analyses performed after arrival.

Adaptive Agent Model with Hybrid Routing Selection Strategy for Improving the Road-Network Congestion Problem

This paper proposes an adaptive agent model with a hybrid routing selection strategy for studying the road-network congestion problem. We focus on improving those severely congested links. Firstly,a multi-agent system is built,where each agent stands for a vehicle,and it makes its routing selection by considering the shortest path and the minimum congested degree of the target link simultaneously. The agent-based model captures the nonlinear feedback between vehicle routing behaviors and road-network congestion ***,a hybrid routing selection strategy is provided,which guides the vehicle routes adapting to the realtime road-network congestion status. On this basis, we execute simulation experiments and compare the simulation results of network congestion distribution,by Floyd agent with shortest path strategy and our proposed adaptive agent with hybrid strategy. The simulation results show that our proposed model has reduced the congestion degree of those seriously congested links of road-network. Finally,we execute our model on a real road map. The results finds that those seriously congested roads have some common features such as located at the road junction or near the unique road connecting two areas. And,the results also show an effectiveness of our model on reduction of those seriously congested links in this actual road network. Such a bottom-up congestion control approach with a hybrid congestion optimization perspective will have its significance for actual traffic congestion control.

This paper introduces a software agent as a virtual player of the business game called Bakery Game. The business game is a tool to understand business and management principles through experience in a virtual world. In order to construct software agents for the gaming simulation, which is able to participate in a game and become human players' worthy rival, we combine a simple model that considers the property of Bakery Game with a strategy adjustment model. The agent has so-called strategy parameters that are updated through the experience. The agent changes his strategy depending on particular situation. The agent participates in the game that is regenerated from log data in various situations.

To date, many studies related to robots have been performed around the world. Many of these studies have assumed operation at locations where entry is difficult, such as disaster sites, and have focused on various terrestrial robots, such as snake-like, humanoid, spider-type, and wheeled units. Another area of active research in recent years has been aerial robots with small helicopters for operation indoors and outdoors. However,less research has been performed on robots that operate both on the ground and in the air. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose a hybrid aerial/terrestrial robot system. The proposed robot system was developed by equipping a quadcopter with a mechanism for ground movement. It does not use power dedicated to ground movement, and instead uses the flight mechanism of the quadcopter to achieve ground movement as well. Furthermore, we addressed the issue of obstacle avoidance as part of studies on autonomous control. Thus, we found that autonomous control of ground movement and flight was possible for the hybrid aerial/terrestrial robot system, as was autonomous obstacle avoidance by flight when an obstacle appeared during ground movement.

In order to clarify cleavage efficiency of a multi-ribozyme expression system on their substrates,plasmids containing 20 cis-acting hammerhead ribozymes for self-cleavage and 10 trans-acting hammerhead ribozymes targeted on MDR1 and MRP1 substrates,the target plasmids pGEM-MDR1 and pGEM-MRP1 were constructed by employing PCR and DNA *** endonuclease＇s digestion and DNA sequencing confirmed exactness of the multi-ribozyme expression systems and the target *** repeated self-cleavage tests revealed that the cisacting hammerhead ribozymes in the multi-ribozyme expression system were able to cleave themselves and trans-acting hammerhead ribozymes 196 Rz and 210 Rz were *** cleavage efficiencies of liberated ribozymes on their targets were evaluated in vitro and the results indicate that 196 Rz and 210 Rz were able to cleave the MDR1 and MRP1 RNA *** profile of cleavage reaction shows that the cleavage efficiencies were correlated with the numbers of transacting hammerhead ribozymes contained in the multi-ribozyme expression systems,as well as the multi-ribozyme system is much better than the single *** of various concentrations of Mg^2＋ reveals that ribozyme cleavage reactions were dependent on Mg^2＋ *** plot of lg（kobs） ***[Mg^2＋] displays a linear relationship in the concentration range observed（2.5―20 mmol/L）.

The present paper proposes a control method to excite spinning solar sail membranes for three-dimensional *** optical property switching,the input is given as the change in magnitude of the solar radiation *** resonance point of this system varies with the vibration state due to its nonlinearity and the change in equilibrium *** deal with this,a state feedback control law that automatically tracks the resonance point is developed in the present *** proposed method enables decentralized control of the actuators on the sail,each of which determines the control input independently using only the information of vibration *** proposed method is validated using numerical *** results show that the nonlinear system behaves differently from the linear system,and the vibration grows using the decentralized control regardless of resonance point variation.

Plant root development is strongly affected by nutrient availability. Despite the importance of structure and function of roots in nutrient acquisition,statistical modeling approaches to evaluate dynamic and temporal modulations of root system architecture in response to nutrient availability have remained as widely open and exploratory areas in root biology. In this study,we developed a statistical modeling approach to investigate modulations of root system architecture in response to nitrogen availability. Mathematical models were designed for quantitative assessment of root growth and root branching phenotypes and their dynamic relationships based on hierarchical con figuration of primary and lateral roots formulating the fishbone-shaped root system architecture in Arabidopsis thaliana. Time-series datasets reporting dynamic changes in root developmental traits on different nitrate or ammonium concentrations were generated for statistical analyses. Regression analyses unraveled key parameters associated with：（i） inhibition of primary root growth under nitrogen limitation or on ammonium;（ii） rapid progression of lateral root emergence in response to ammonium; and（iii） inhibition of lateral root elongation in the presence of excess nitrate or ammonium. This study provides a statistical framework for interpreting dynamic modulation of root system architecture,supported by metaanalysis of datasets displaying morphological responses of roots to diverse nitrogen supplies.
