Background Blastocystis hominis(Bh)is zoonotic parasitic pathogen with a high prevalent globally,causing opportunistic infections and diarrhea *** immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infection disrupts the immune system by depleting CD4^(+)T lymphocyte(CD4^(+)T)cell counts,thereby increasing Bh infection risk among persons living with HIV(PLWH).However,the precise association between Bh infection risk and HIV-related biological markers and treatment processes remains poorly ***,the purpose of the study was to explore the association between Bh infection risk and CD4^(+)T cell counts,HIV viral load(VL),and duration of interruption in antiviral therapy among *** A large-scale multi-center cross-sectional study was conducted in China from June 2020 to December *** genetic presence of Bh in fecal samples was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction,the CD4^(+)T cell counts in venous blood was measured using flowcytometry,and the HIV VL in serum was quantified using fluorescence-based *** cubic spline(RCS)was applied to assess the non-linear association between Bh infection risk and CD4^(+)T cell counts,HIV VL,and duration of interruption in highly active antiretroviral therapy(HARRT).Results A total of 1245 PLWH were enrolled in the study,the average age of PLWH was 43 years[interquartile range(IQR):33,52],with 452(36.3%)being female,50.4%(n=628)had no immunosuppression(CD4^(+)T cell counts>500 cells/μl),and 78.1%(n=972)achieved full virological suppression(HIV VL<50 copies/ml).Approximately 10.5%(n=131)of PLWH had *** prevalence of Bh was found to be 4.9%[95%confidence interval(CI):3.8-6.4%]among *** nonlinear associations were observed between the Bh infection risk and CD4^(+)T cell counts(Pfor nonlinearity<0.001,L-shaped),HIV VL(Pfor nonlinearity<0.001,inverted U-shaped),and duration of interruption in HARRT(Pfor nonlinearity<0.001,inverted U-shaped).Conclusions

Coordinated control of coastal multi-source multi-load system with desalination load: a review

Traditional seawater desalination requires high amounts of energy, with correspondingly high costs and limited benefits, hindering wider applications of the process. To further improve the comprehensive economic benefits of seawater desalination, the desalination load can be combined with renewable energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, and ocean energy or with the power grid to ensure its effective regulation. Utilizing energy internet(EI) technology, energy balance demand of the regional power grid, and coordinated control between coastal multi-source multi-load and regional distribution network with desalination load is reviewed herein. Several key technologies, including coordinated control of coastal multi-source multi-load system with seawater desalination load, flexible interaction between seawater desalination and regional distribution network, and combined control of coastal multi-source multi-load storage system with seawater desalination load, are discussed in detail. Adoption of the flexible interaction between seawater desalination and regional distribution networks is beneficial for solving water resource problems, improving the ability to dissipate distributed renewable energy, balancing and increasing grid loads, improving the safety and economy of coastal power grids, and achieving coordinated and comprehensive application of power grids, renewable energy sources, and coastal loads.

Influence of thermal exposure on microstructure and stress rupture properties of a new Re-containing single crystal Ni-based superalloy

In this study, the long-term thermal microstructural stability and related stress rupture lives of a new Re-containing Ni-based single-crystal superalloy, DD11, were investigated after high-temperature exposure for different lengths of time. The results show that the γ' precipitates retained a cuboidal morphology and the γ' size increased after short thermal exposure for 50 h at 1,070℃. As the thermal exposure time was prolonged to 500 h, the cuboidal γ' gradually changed into irregular raft-like morphology due to particles coalescence, and the morphology of the microstructure was almost unchanged after further thermal exposure up to 3,000 h. The stress rupture experiments at 1,070℃ and a tensile stress of 140 MPa showed that the rupture lives increased significantly after thermal exposure for 50 h and dropped dramatically with increasing exposure time up to 500 h but decreased slowly after exposure for more than 500 h. These results imply that stress rupture properties did not decrease when the γ' remained cuboidal but degraded to different extents during the γ' coarsening process. The coarsening of the γ' precipitates and change in morphology were regarded as the main factors leading to the degradation of the stress rupture lives. This study provides fundamental information on the high-temperature longterm microstructural stability and mechanical performance, which will be of great help for DD11 alloy optimization and engineering aeroengine applications.

针对单一的可见光或毫米波辐射图像在隐匿违禁物品探测中的局限性,该文将基于Contourlet变换的图像融合算法引入到可见光与毫米波辐射图像的融合应用中。该算法首先利用Contourlet变换得到待融合源图像的多分辨率结构,然后对低频子带和高频子带分别采用基于区域方差和区域能量的融合规则,并通过接近度函数度量低频子带系数区域特性间的关联程度,最后经过Contourlet逆变换重构融合图像。实验结果表明,该算法可有效综合可见光图像中丰富的细节信息与毫米波辐射图像中显著的目标特征,其融合效果在主观视觉及客观评价指标上均优于传统的融合算法。

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most prevalent malignancy and has the fourth highest global cancer mortality rate. Early diagnosis and prompt medical attention can improve quality of life and the prognosis of CRC patients. Accumulating evidence reveals that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) function as oncogenes or anti-oncogenes, as well as biomarkers in various cancers. AIM To investigate the levels and molecular mechanism of the lncRNA maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3) in CRC. METHODS The levels of lncRNA MEG3 in CRC tissue, serum and cell line samples were explored via qRT-PCR. The relationship between MEG3 levels and clinicopathological features in CRC was investigated. The diagnostic and prognostic values of serum MEG3 levels were analyzed with ROC curves and KaplanMeier survival curves, respectively. RESULTS Significant decreased levels of MEG3 existed in CRC tissue, cell lines and serum. CRC patients with down-regulated serum MEG3 levels had larger tumor sizes, and advanced clinical stages. The sensitivity and specificity of serum MEG3 levels in CRC detection was 0.667 and 0.875, respectively. Tumor size, T stages, and serum MEG3 levels are indie factors that produce an effect on CRC patients' prognosis. KaplanMeier survival curves suggested that CRC patients with high levels of MEG3 had a remarkably better overall survival rate. CONCLUSION LncRNA MEG3 is down-regulated in CRC, and regulates cell functions by targeting adenosine deaminase’s effect on RNA 1 in CRC.

Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II regulates colon cancer proliferation and migration via ERK1/2 and p38 pathways

AIM To investigate the role of calmodulin-dependent protein kinase Ⅱ(Ca MKⅡ) in colon cancer growth,migration and *** Ca MKⅡ expression in colon cancer and paracancerous tissues was evaluated via immunochemistry. Transcriptional and posttranscriptional levels of Ca MKⅡin tissue samples and MMP2,MMP9 and TIMP-1 expression in the human colon cancer cell line HCT116 were assessed by q RTPCR and western blot. Cell proliferation was detected with the MTT assay. Cancer cell migration and invasion were investigated with the Transwell culture system and woundhealing *** We first demonstrated that CaMK Ⅱ was ove rexpressed in human colon cancers and was associated with cancer differentiation. In the human colon cancer cell line HCT116,the Ca MKII-specific inhibitor KN93,but not its inactive analogue KN92,decreased cancer cell proliferation. Furthermore,KN93 also significantly prohibited HCT116 cell migration and invasion. The specific inhibition of ERK1/2 or p38 decreased the proliferation and migration of colon cancer *** Our findings highlight Ca MKⅡ as a potential critical mediator in human colon tumor development and metastasis.

In Vitro Lethal Effect of Photodynamic Therapy on Human Pancreatic Cancer Cells and Its Major Influencing Factors

To investigate the in vitro lethal effect of photodynamic therapy (PDT) using the photosensitizer hematoporphyrin on the human pancreatic cancer cell line Panc-1, the major influencing factors and the mechanisms of treatment. Three factors—the time needed for photosensitizer and cell incubation, the photosensitizer concentration (PhoC) and the exposure dose (ExpD)—were examined with different levels of these factors. Optical density (OD) was used as a measure of CCK-8 in the experiment, and was converted to the rate of cell survival. The separate effect of each factor on the photodynamic action was studied, and the interactions were investigated. The effects of different incubation times and PhoC levels on the fluorescence intensity (FI) of the intracellular photosensitizer were determined, and the mechanisms of these factors leading to the therapeutic effects of PDT discussed. An increase in the photosensitizer and cell incubation time, an increase of PhoC, and enhancement of the ExpD, produced a corresponding decrease in the rate of Panc-1 cell survival after PDT (P 0.05). With an increase of PhoC and lengthening of the incubation time, the FI of the intracellular photosensitizer accordingly increased (P tained its maximum value at a PhoC of 10 mg/L and 36 h after the incubation. With an increase of PhoC, the FI of the photosensitizer, hematoporphyrin, in the solution increased progressively at first and then decreased (fluorescence quenching). 粤油271是广东省农业科学院作物研究所以湛红2号为母本、高油酸花生冀花06070-19为父本,通过人工有性杂交和系统选育等方法培育出的高油酸、稳产、多抗、适宜机械化栽培的花生新品种。该品种适宜在华南花生产区栽培,可作为油用与鲜食加工型花生品种大力推广,具有良好的经济价值与市场应用前景。粤油271于2021年获得植物新品种权(CNA20173652.2),2023年通过全国非主要农作物品种登记,登记编号:GPD花生(2023)440002。对该品种的亲本来源、选育过程、特征特性、产量表现及其配套栽培技术要点进行了总结。
