Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES)is one of the most powerful experimental techniques in condensed matter *** ARPES,which uses photons with high flux and continuously tunable energy,has become particularly ***,an excellent synchrotron ARPES system must have features such as a small beam spot,super-high energy resolution,and a user-friendly operation interface.A synchrotron beamline and an endstation(BL03 U)were designed and constructed at the shanghai Synchrotron Radiation *** beam spot size at the sample position is 7.5(V)μm×67(H)μm,and the fundamental photon range is 7-165 eV;the ARPES system enables photoemission with an energy resolution of 2.67 meV at21.2 *** addition,the ARPES system of this endstation is equipped with a six-axis cryogenic sample manipulator(the lowest temperature is 7 K)and is integrated with an oxide molecular beam epitaxy system and a scanning tunneling microscope,which can provide an advanced platform for in situ characterization of the fine electronic structure of condensed matter.

Background We aimed to evaluate the tolerability and efficacy of linezolid in children for treating suspected and diagnosed Gram-positive bacterial *** A systematic literature search was conducted up to April 23,2021,using linezolid and its synonyms as search *** reviewers independently identified and extracted relevant randomized controlled trials and prospective cohort *** extracted studies were included in a single-rate meta-analysis of adverse events and clinical outcomes using random-effects *** A total of 1082 articles were identified,and nine studies involving 758 children were included in the *** overall proportion of adverse events was 8.91%[95%confidence interval(CI)=1.64%–36.52%],with diarrhea(2.24%),vomiting(2.05%),and rash(1.72%)being the most *** incidences of thrombocytopenia and anemia were 0.68%and 0.16%,*** specific adverse events,including rash and gastrointestinal events,were more frequent in the oral administration *** terms of efficacy,the overall proportion of clinical improvement was 88.80%(95%CI=81.31%–93.52%).Children with a history of specific bacteriological diagnosis or concomitant antibiotic therapy had a 1.13-fold higher clinical improvement than children without such *** proportion of microbial eradication was 92.68%(95%CI=84.66%–96.68%).The proportion of all-cause mortality was 0.16%(95%CI=0.00%–7.75%).Conclusions linezolid was well-tolerated in pediatric patients and was associated with a low frequency of adverse events,such as anemia,thrombocytopenia,and ***,linezolid was effective in children with diagnosed and suspected Gram-positive infections.

Background:Infections still represent the main factors influencing morbidity and mortality following liver *** study aimed to evaluate the incidence and risk factors for infection and survival after liver ***:We retrospectively examined medical records in 210 liver recipients who underwent liver transplantation between April 2015 and October 2017 in our *** manifestations and results of pathogen detection test were used to define *** analyzed the prevalence,risk factors and prognosis of patients with ***:The median follow-up was 214 days;the incidence of infection after liver transplantation was 46.7%(n=98)which included pneumonia(43.4%),biliary tract infection(21.9%),peritonitis(21.4%)and bloodstream infection(7.6%).Among the pathogens in pneumonia,the most frequently isolated was Acinetobacter baumanii(23.5%)and Klebsiella pneumoniae(21.2%).Model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score(OR=1.083,95%CI:1.045–1.123;Pliary complication(OR=4.725,95%CI:1.119–19.947;P=0.035)and duration of drainage tube(OR=1.040,95%CI:1.007–1.074;P=0.017)were independent risk factors for posttransplant ***-cause mortality was 11.0%(n=23).The prognostic factors for postoperative infection in liver recipients were prior-transplant infection,especially pneumonia within 2 weeks before ***-Meier curves of survival showed that recipients within 2 weeks prior infection had a significantly lower cumulative survival rate compared with those without infection(65.2%vs.90.0%;hazard ratio:4.480;Plication with impaired renal function and MELD score after 7 days of transplantation was an independent prognostic factor for postoperative infection in liver transplant recipients.

Exposing waxy oils to an electric field may significantly improve their cold *** previous study has shown that interfacial polarization,i.e.,charged particle accumulation on the wax particle surface,is the primary mechanism of the electrorheological behavior of waxy ***,the way that charged particles interact with wax particles under an electric field remains *** this study,we found no viscosity and impedance change for two waxy crude oils after their exposure to a high-voltage electric ***,the yield stresses were reduced *** thus proposed that the collision of colloidal particles such as resins and asphaltenes with the wax particles could be an essential mechanism that the wax particle structure was *** verify this hypothesis,a series of ad hoc experiments were carried out,i.e.,by performing electrorheological tests on model waxy oils containing additives removable under an electric field,including electrically-neutral colloidal particles(Fe3O4),charged colloidal particles(resins),and oil-soluble electrolyte(C22H14CoO4),respectively,and demonstrated that upon application of a high-voltage electric field,charged particles in a waxy oil may move and thus collide with wax particles,and consequently adhere to the wax particle *** particle collision results in damage to the wax particle network,and the electrostatic repulsion arising from the adhesion of the charged particle on the wax particle diminishes attraction between wax *** study clarifies the process of interfacial polarization.

It is significant to investigate the action of nitrogen getters,which are used to synthesize type-IIa large diamond single crystals under high pressure and high temperature(HPHT).The reaction mechanism of Al as a nitrogen getter and N in the HPHT alloy solvent is still indeterminate at *** order to investigate the reaction of Al and N in the HPHT alloy solvent,Al and AlN are respectively added to the system of Fe55Ni29Co16−C(wt%,***-C)for the synthesis of diamonds at about 5.5 GPa and 1600 *** concentration of nitrogen in the diamonds is characterized by a micro Fourier transform infrared(micro-FTIR)*** experimental results show that cN decreases when Al is added to the FeNiCo-C ***,it increases when AlN is added.A reversible reaction confirms that Al and N can react and form AlN,simultaneously AlN can be decomposed into Al and N in the HPHT alloy *** the mechanism of eliminating the nitrogen of nitrogen getter Al is realized in detail.

AIM: To investigate HER2 expression and its correlation with clinicopathological variables between proximal and distal gastric cancers (GC) in the Chinese population. METHODS: Immunostaining of HER2 was performed and scored on a scale of 0-3 in 957 consecutive GC cases, according to the revised scoring criteria of HercepTest TM as used in the ToGA trial. Correlations between HER2 expression and clinicopathologic variables of proximal (n = 513) and distal (n = 444) GC were investigated. RESULTS: Our results showed that HER2 expression was significantly higher in the proximal than in distal GC (P < 0.05). Overall, HER2 expression was significantly higher in male patients (P < 0.01), the Lauren intestinal type (P < 0.001), low-grade (P < 0.001) and pM1 (P < 0.01) diseases, respectively. There was a significant difference in HER2 expression among some pTNM stages (P < 0.05). In contrast, HER2 expression in the distal GC was significantly higher in male patients (P < 0.001), low-grade histology (P < 0.001), the Lauren intestinal type(P < 0.001), and pM1 (P < 0.001). In the proximal GC, however, higher HER2 expression scores were observed only in tumors with low-grade histology (P < 0.001) and the Lauren intestinal type (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: HER2 over-expression in GC of Chinese patients was significantly more common in proximal than in distal GC, and significantly correlated with the Lauren intestinal type and low-grade histology in both proximal and distal GC, and with pM1 disease and male gender in distal GC.
