Stroke and cerebral haemorrhage are the second leading causes of death in the world after ischaemic heart disease.In this work,a dataset containing medical,physiological and environmental tests for stroke was used to evaluate the efficacy of machine learning,deep learning and a hybrid technique between deep learning and machine learning on theMagnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)dataset for cerebral haemorrhage.In the first dataset(medical records),two features,namely,diabetes and obesity,were created on the basis of the values of the corresponding features.The t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbour embedding algorithm was applied to represent the high-dimensional dataset in a low-dimensional data space.Meanwhile,the Recursive Feature elimination algorithm(RFe)was applied to rank the features according to priority and their correlation to the target feature and to remove the unimportant features.The features are fed into the various classification algorithms,namely,Support Vector Machine(SVM),K Nearest Neighbours(KNN),Decision Tree,Random Forest,and Multilayer Perceptron.All algorithms achieved superior results.The Random Forest algorithm achieved the best performance amongst the algorithms;it reached an overall accuracy of 99%.This algorithm classified stroke cases with Precision,Recall and F1 score of 98%,100%and 99%,respectively.In the second dataset,the MRI image dataset was evaluated by using the AlexNet model and AlexNet+SVM hybrid technique.The hybrid model AlexNet+SVM performed is better than the AlexNet model;it reached accuracy,sensitivity,specificity and Area Under the Curve(AUC)of 99.9%,100%,99.80%and 99.86%,respectively.

The lateral response of single and group of piles under simultaneous vertical and lateral loads has been analyzed using a 3D finite element approach. The response in this assessment considered lateral pile displacement and lateral soil resistance and corresponding - curve. As a result, modified - curves for lateral single pile response were improved with respect to the influence of increasing axial load intensities. The improved plots can be used for lateral loaded pile design and to produce the group action design -multiplier curves and equations. The effect of load combination on the lateral pile group response was performed on three pile group configurations (i.e., 2×1, 2×2 and 3×2) with four pile spacings (i.e., = 2 , 4 , 6 and 8 ). As a result, design curves were developed and applied on the actual case studies and similar expected cases for assessment of pile group behavior using improved p-multiplier. A design equation was derived from predicted design curves to be used in the evaluation of the lateral pile group action taking into account the effect of axial load intensities. It was found that the group interaction effect led to reduced lateral resistance for the pile in the group relative to that for the single pile in case of pure lateral load. While, in case of simultaneous combined loads, large axial load intensities (i.e., more than 6 , where is lateral load values) will have an increase in -multiplier by approximately 100% and will consequently contribute to greater group piles capacities.

AIM To determine how the auto-antibodies(Abs) profiles overlap in chronic hepatitis C infection(CHC) and autoimmune hepatitis(AIH) and correlate to liver disease.MeTHODS Levels of antinuclear Ab, smooth muscle antibody(SMA) and liver/kidney microsomal-1(LKM-1) Ab and markers of liver damage were determined in the sera of 50 patients with CHC infection, 20 AIH patients and 20 healthy controls using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and other immune assays. ReSULTS We found that AIH patients had more severe liver disease as determined by elevation of total Ig G, alkaline phosphatase, total serum bilirubin and serum transaminases and significantly higher prevalence of the three non-organ-specific autoantibodies(auto-Abs) than CHC patients. Antinuclear Ab, SMA and LKM-1 Ab were also present in 36% of CHC patients and related to disease severity. CHC cases positive for auto-Abs were directly comparable to AIH in respect of most markers of liver damage and total Ig G. These cases had longer disease duration compared with auto-Ab negative cases, but there was no difference in gender, age or viral load. KLM-1+ Ab CHC cases showed best overlap with AIH. CONCLUSION Auto-Ab levels in CHC may be important markers of disease severity and positive cases have a disease similar to AIH. Auto-Abs might have a pathogenic role as indicated by elevated markers of liver damage. Future studies will unravel any novel associations between these two diseases, whether genetic or other.

Depression among Health Care Workers in Khartoum State, Sudan, 2022

Introduction: Depression is a serious issue affecting healthcare workers and is a leading cause of disability for both genders. Furthermore, it is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity, responsible for 4.4 percent of global disability. An estimated 350 million people are currently living with depression worldwide. Objectives: to estimate the prevalence of depression among healthcare workers in Khartoum State in 2022 and determine the associated factors. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among healthcare workers in Khartoum State, Sudan, in 2022 using a self-administered electronic questionnaire. Depression was screened using the self-reporting questionnaire (PHQ-9). Descriptive statistics in the form of frequencies and percentages were used to display the data. Odds ratios (ORs) with a 95% confidence interval were estimated using bivariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis to determine associations between depression and related factors. Results: A total of 341 valid responses were received, with a mean age of 33.91. The overall prevalence of depression (PHQ-9 > 8) was 258 (75.6%). The prevalence was significantly associated with marital status (single and divorced), occupation (psychologist), and working department (emergency Department), showing a p-value of Conclusion: Depression is a serious mental health disorder that affects all people, including healthcare workers, and is a growing problem in Sudan. To address this, healthcare organizations must implement policies and strategies to reduce inequality and protect healthcare workers. A multidisciplinary approach that includes mental health professionals, the Ministry of Health, and universities is needed to prioritize mental health issues and ensure quality care and the overall well-being of both healthcare workers and patients.

害虫对农业生产造成严重的威胁和损害。小地老虎Agrotis ipsilon(Hufnagel)属鳞翅目夜蛾科,是重要的地下害虫之一,其寄主范围广泛,能够危害多种农作物、园艺作物和观赏植物,通常使用化学合成杀虫剂如氯虫苯甲酰胺、毒死蜱、溴氰菊酯等防治小地老虎。杀虫剂的不合理使用,会导致害虫对杀虫剂产生抗药性、农药残留等负面效应。因此,需要寻找新的害虫控制策略在防治害虫的同时减少对人类、环境和非目标物种的危害。凤眼莲eichhornia crassipes(Mart.)Solms是最具破坏性的漂浮水生杂草之一,一株植物在一个月内可繁殖超过48000株新植株。凤眼莲每年浪费约30亿m水资源可用于灌溉404685.6 m地区,对水生生物栖息地造成了极大的危害。此外,凤眼莲危害还会产生富营养化,危害水生生态系统。中国每年由于凤眼莲造成的直接经济损失近100亿元。如果能够从凤眼莲植株中提取出有效的杀虫活性物质,不仅可为凤眼莲的综合治理提供新途径,还可为害虫治理提供新方法。为此,本研究拟对凤眼莲植物丙酮和乙醇提取物,对小地老虎幼虫的毒理学潜力及其对模式动物大白鼠的安全性评价进行系统评价。主要研究结果如下:1)凤眼莲提取物对小地老虎2龄幼虫的杀虫活性采用浸叶法,测定了不同溶剂(石油醚(Pt.et.)、丙酮(AP)、乙醇(et P)、丙酮馏分(AcF)和乙醇馏分(et F))提取物对小地老虎二龄幼虫的杀虫活性。结果表明,AcF和et F提取物在1000 mg/L(校正死亡率:93.33%)和500 mg/L(校正死亡率66.67%)对小地老虎的杀虫活性最强。AcF、et F、AP、et P和Pt.et.等提取物对小地老虎二龄幼虫的LC分别为240、370、490、2000和3900 mg/L。提取物(Pt.et.,AP,et P,AcF,et F)的浓度越高,小地老虎的幼虫死亡率越高。此外,凤眼莲提取物影响小地老虎成虫羽化、幼虫和蛹的发育历期以及蛹重等生物学特性,对成虫羽化的总抑制率与所有测试提取物的浓度成正比。凤眼莲提取物对小地老虎活性效果排序为:AcF、et F、AP、et P、Pt.et.2)凤眼莲提取物对小地老虎幼虫的生化代谢影响通过定量分光光度法,分析LC浓度的凤眼莲提取物(AcF(240 mg/L)和et F(370mg/L)对小地老虎幼虫总代谢物(总碳水化合物、总脂和总蛋白)及解毒酶活性的影响,包括磷酸酶(酸性(ACP)和碱性(ALP)磷酸酶)、转氨酶(谷丙转氨酶(ALT))和天冬氨酸转氨酶(AST),一些解毒/抗性酶(乙酰胆碱酯酶(ACh e)、谷胱甘肽-S-转移酶(GST)、α-和β-酯酶)。AcF提取物处理后,总碳水化合物和总蛋白显著升高(Pet F提取物对小地老虎幼虫总碳水化合物、总蛋白和总脂质含量无显著影响。AcF(23.57和86.36μg/mg)和et F(29.27和84.09μg/mg)提取物处理后,小地老虎幼虫酸性(ACP)和碱性(ALP)磷酸酶的活性显著高于对照。AcF和et F处理后,小地老虎幼虫天冬氨酸转氨酶AST(194.30和168.57 mg/g)显著高于对照组。AcF提取物处理导致β-酯酶活性显著降低,而et F提取物处理导致α-酯酶和GST活性显著升高。AcF和et F两种提取物处理均导致小地老虎幼虫ACh e的活性显著降低,分别为65.05和89.84μg/min/g.3)凤眼莲不同溶剂提取物的化学成分采取GC-MS技术,分离鉴定了凤眼莲提取物的主要成分。结果表明,丙酮提取物(AcF)中检测到31个化合物,主要成分为正十六烷酸(16.72%)、亚麻酸(11.13%)、十六烷酸(9.35%)、六氢法尼基丙酮(9.03%)、叶绿醇(3.79%)、2-苯基十一烷(2.83%)、2-苯基十二烷(2.75%)、六氢法尼醇(2.60%)、新植二烯(2.39%)、2-苯基十三烷(2.24%)、12,15-十八碳二烯酸甲酯(2.21%)、8-十八碳烯酸甲酯(2.16%)、6-苯基十二烷(2.08%)、邻苯二甲酸,总含量为93.72%。乙醇提取物(et F)中检测到31个化合物,主要成分为85.12%为十六烷酸乙酯(7.86%)、2-苯基-十三烷(6.30%)、2-苯基-十二烷(6.22%)、十六烷酸(5.51%)、6-苯基-十三烷(4.99%)、3-苯基-十三烷(4.47%)、5-苯基-十三烷(3.66%)、4-苯基-十三烷(3.56%)、3-苯基-十二烷(3.49%)、油酸(3.39%)、2-苯基-十一烷(3.37%)、十六烷酸甲酯(3.04%)、6-苯基-十二烷(3.01%)。4)凤眼莲的丙酮和乙醇馏分提取物对大白鼠的安全性评价对活性最强的提取物(AcF和

In this study, a point source mathematical model is proposed to describe the diffusion of adenosine di-phosphate (ADP) from either damaged red blood cell (RBC) or activated platelet. The convective diffusion equation is reduced to describe the suggested problem. The final differential equation is solved using Laplace transforms and ADP concentration profiles around the source are obtained. Thrombi of 5 to 20 μm3 containing platelets and a range of red blood cells (RBCs) (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) concentrations are used to apply the model. Reported ADP concentrations in the literature are used and its dynamic release from the point source is calculated. Results suggest that RBC chemical contribution to platelet aggregation in the bulk is much less than that of platelet (almost) negligible. However, the physical effect of RBCs is dominant in the bulk through augmentation of released ADP and platelets diffusivities. Moreover, the chemical contribution reported in previous studies is suggested to be as a result of interaction of RBC with the surface under the influence of shear stresses in the boundary region.

Prevalence of Overweight and Obesity among Students Aged 7-22 Years in Jiangsu Province,China

Objective To report the prevalence and trend of overweight and obesity among students aged 7-22 years in Jiangsu, 2010 to 2013. Methods This cross-sectional study was carried out as part of students physical fitness and health survey in Jiangsu province. A total of 255,581 subjects （50.03% males and 49.97% females） enrolled in 82 school and 10 universities in Jiangsu. Weights and heights were obtained for each subject and its body mass index （BMI） was calculated using the Chinese Working Group on Obesity in China （CWGO）. Results Anthropometric measurement including bodyweight, height, BMI and bust were significantly different between males in urban compared to females living rural areas （P〈0.001）. The total prevalence of overweight and obesity was 12.4% and 5.7%. Males had a significantly higher rate than in female＇s student. The prevalence of overweight and obesity by age groups was （14.5%, 10.3%） at age 7-11 years, （11.2%, 6.8%） at age 12-14 years, （11.7%, 3.1%） at age 15-17 years, and （11.4%, 2.3%） at age 18-22 years. By regions; the highest prevalence of overweight obesity reported in Taizhou （10.0%, 14.2%）, Xuzhou （9.4%, 12.5%）, and Nanjing （9.2%, 15.6%）, respectively. Conclusion The finding declares that overweight and obesity are important health problems among students in Jiangsu Province. early intervention programme are needed to address this problems.

Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are one of the renewable energy technologies with features of high efficiency, energy saving, economic feasibility and environmental protection. In China, GSHPs have been widely used for building heating and cooling in recent years, and have shown great potential for future energy development. This paper summarizes the classification, development history, and use status of shallow GSHPs. Several typical engineering cases of GSHP technology are also specified and analyzed. Finally, promising development trends and some advanced technologies are illustrated.
