Behavioral and Physiological Responses of Sea Slug (Onchidium reevesii) to Low-Frequency Noise

A large amount of marine noise pollution from coastal industrial construction and the water transportation industry affects the growth and development of marine life,which is a big issue threatening marine organisms.However,most studies have focused on vertebrates,such as marine mammals and fishes,and little is known about the effects of noise on invertebrates.Therefore,the impacts of low-frequency noise(100,300,and 500 Hz)on behavioral and physiological responsesof the sea slug(Onchidium reevesii)were investigated.Under laboratory conditions,sea slugs were stimulated with low-frequency noise at 100,300,and 500 Hz for 1 h.Then,hemolymph enzyme activities(glucose,albumin,triglycerides,superoxide dismutase,catalase,and malondialdehyde)were measured,and mRNA expression of the hsp70 gene was detected in hemolymph and the nervous system by quantitative realtime polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)analysis,while expression of the hsp70 protein was analyzed by immunohistochemistry.The results demonstrated that sea slugs were away from the stimulus source under the influence of low-frequency noise compared to the control group.Enzyme activities,as well as hsp70 gene mRNA and protein expression levels,were significantly higher in the noiseexposed groups than those in the control group.Overall,these changes indicate that low-frequency noise caused oxidative stress in sea slugs in vivo,and the oxidative damage gradually increased when the noise frequency was increased from 100 to 500 Hz.

Hot spot temperature prediction and operating parameter estimation of racks in data center using machine learning algorithms based on simulation data

In this paper,models to predict hot spot temperature and to estimate cooling air’s working parameters of racks in data centers were established using machine learning algorithms based on simulation data.First,simulation models of typical racks were established in computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The model was validated with field test results and results in literature,error of which was less than 3%.Then,the CFD model was used to simulate thermal environments of a typical rack considering different factors,such as servers’power,which is from 3.3 kW to 20.1 kW,cooling air’s inlet velocity,which is from 1.0 m/s to 3.0 m/s,and cooling air’s inlet temperature,which is from 16℃ to 26℃ The highest temperature in the rack,also called hot spot temperature,was selected for each case.Next,a prediction model of hot spot temperature was built using machine learning algorithms,with servers’power,cooling air’s inlet velocity and cooling air’s inlet temperature as inputs,and the hot spot temperatures as outputs.Finally,based on the prediction model,an operating parameters estimation model was established to recommend cooling air’s inlet temperatures and velocities,which can not only keep the hot spot temperature at the safety value,but are also energy saving.

Schisandrin B Inhibits NLRP3 Inflammasome Pathway and Attenuates Early Brain Injury in Rats of Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Objective: To determine whether Schisandrin B(Sch B) attenuates early brain injury(EBI) in rats with subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH). Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into sham(sham operation), SAH, SAH+vehicle, and SAH+Sch B groups using a random number table. Rats underwent SAH by endovascular perforation and received Sch B(100 mg/kg) or normal saline after 2 and 12 h of SAH. SAH grading, neurological scores, brain water content, Evan’s blue extravasation, and terminal transferase-mediated dUTP nick end-labeling(tuNEL) staining were carried out 24 h after SAH. Immunofluorescent staining was performed to detect the expressions of ionized calcium binding adapter molecule 1(Iba-1) and myeloperoxidase(MPO) in the rat brain, while the expressions of B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2), Bax, Caspase-3, nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing 3(NLRP3), apoptosis-associated specklike protein containing the caspase-1 activator domain(ASC), Caspase-1, interleukin(IL)-1β, and IL-18 in the rat brains were detected by Western blot. Results: Compared with the SAH group, Sch B significantly improved the neurological function, reduced brain water content, Evan’s blue content, and apoptotic cells number in the brain of rats(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Moreover, Sch B decreased SAH-induced expressions of Iba-1 and MPO(P<0.01). SAH caused the elevated expressions of Bax, Caspase-3, NLRP3, ASC, Caspase-1, IL-1β, and IL-18 in the rat brain(P<0.01), all of which were inhibited by Sch B(P<0.01). In addition, Sch B increased the Bcl-2 expression(P<0.01). Conclusion: Sch B attenuated SAH-induced EBI, which might be associated with the inhibition of neuroinflammation, neuronal apoptosis, and the NLRP3 inflammatory signaling pathway.

It investigates the optical and electronic properties of Al doped on GZO thin films on glass substrates by using radio frequency magnetron sputtering（RF-sputtering）.The electric,optical and structural characteristics of AGZO thin films with various annealing temperatures are investigated.All films illustrate strong（002） for AGZO preferential orientation by using XRD analysis.The results show that the average transmittance of AGZO thin films is increased with annealing temperature.Furthermore,the resistivity also decreased with annealing temperature.

目的:制备盐酸罗哌卡因多囊脂质体(RP-MVL),并且考察其理化性质和体外释放行为。方法:采用复乳化法制备盐酸罗哌卡因多囊脂质体,单因素试验考察影响多囊脂质体包封率的因素,以包封率为指标采用Box-Behnken设计法对盐酸罗哌卡因多囊脂质体的处方工艺进行优化,采用优化处方制备3批多囊脂质体,测定包封率,考察体外释放行为。结果:盐酸罗哌卡因多囊脂质体粒径均一,有85%的粒径分布在7～30μm之间,脂质药物质量比为1.328∶1,磷脂与胆固醇质量比为1.5∶1,三油酸甘油酯为6mmol/L时,多囊脂质体的包封率最佳,包封率达90%以上,37℃条件下在PBS介质中释药时间可达48h,符合一级释药规律。结论:盐酸罗哌卡因多囊脂质体具有较好的缓释效果。

Small molecules for combating multidrug-resistant superbug Candida auris infections

Candida auris is emerging as a major global threat to human health. C. auris infections are associated with high mortality due to intrinsic multi-drug resistance. Currently, therapeutic options for the treatment of C. auris infections are rather limited. We aim to provide a comprehensive review of current strategies, drug candidates, and lead compounds in the discovery and development of novel therapeutic agents against C. auris. The drug resistance profiles and mechanisms are briefly summarized. The structures and activities of clinical candidates, drug combinations, antifungal chemosensitizers, repositioned drugs, new targets, and new types of compounds will be illustrated in detail, and perspectives for guiding future research will be provided. We hope that this review will be helpful to prompting the drug development process to combat this fungal pathogen.

本文运用微流体流变仪和乌氏毛细管黏度计,分别测定7种型号56批次聚维酮样品的K值。采用SPSS软件,对两种方法测得的K值进行配对样本T检验,结果表明两种方法测定的K值无显著性差异(P>0.05)。以乌氏毛细管黏度计测得K值(Ku)为横坐标,微流体流变仪测得K值(Km)为纵坐标,得到方程,Km=0.8939Ku+4.6176R2=0.9862,拟合程度良好。微流体流变仪法具有耗样量少、耗时短、准确的特点,能实现高通量全自动化采集为不同型号聚维酮K值的测定提供了更便捷的手段。接着采用高效凝胶色谱-多角度激光散射仪联用法(GPC-MALLS)测得各型号聚维酮重均分子量(Mw),探究其与Km关系,得到lg Mw=-0.0004 Km2+0.0727 Km+2.791R2=0.9901,拟合情况良好,故可将Km带入上述关系式估算Mw。

Effects of different courses of moxibustion treatment on intestinal flora and inflammation of a rat model of knee osteoarthritis

Objective:This study was done to determine the effects of different courses of moxibustion on a rat knee osteoarthritis(KOA)model,and explore the dose–effect relationship of moxibustion on KOA from the perspectives of intestinal flora and inflammatory factors.Methods:Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups:normal,model,moxibustion for 2 weeks,moxibustion for 4 weeks and moxibustion for 6 weeks groups(n=5 each group).A KOA rat model was induced by monosodium iodoacetate,and moxibustion intervention was performed at the acupoints“Dubi”(ST35)and“Zusanli”(ST36),once every other day.Pathologic changes in the cartilage of rat knee joints were assessed after intervention,and fecal samples were subjected to 16 S r RNA high-throughput sequencing for microbial diversity analysis.Results:Damage to the knee articular cartilage was obvious in the model group,which also had increased levels of pro-inflammatory factors,decreased levels of anti-inflammatory factors,and intestinal flora disorders with decreased diversity.The degree of cartilage damage in the 4 and 6 weeks of moxibustion groups was significantly improved compared with the model group.The 4 and 6 weeks of moxibustion groups also demonstrated reduced levels of interleukin-1βand tumor necrosis factor-a and increased levels of interleukin-10(P<0.05).Both the abundance and diversity of the intestinal flora were increased,approaching those of the normal group.Abundances of probiotics Eubacterium coprostanoligenes group and Ruminococcaceae UCG-014 increased,while that of the pathogenic bacteria Lachnospiraceae NK4 A136 group decreased(P<0.05).Although the abundance of Lachnospiraceae NK4 A136 group decreased in the 2 weeks of moxibustion group compared with the model group(P<0.05),there was no statistically significant difference in serum inflammatory factors,flora species diversity or degree of pathological damage compared with the model group.Conclusion:Moxibustion treatment led to significant improvements in the intestinal flora and inflammatory factors of

Acceptorless dehydrogenative amination of alkenes for the synthesis of N-heterocycles

Catalytic amination of alkenes is one of the most attractive reactions for the construction of complex heterocycles with nitrogen centers. Herein, we present that synergistic photoredox and cobaloxime catalysis allows for highly efficient and mild dehydrogenative reactions between various NH nucleophiles and di-, tri-, and tetrasubstituted alkenes in the absence of external oxidants, thus enabling access to an array of N-heterocycles. Notably, both Z-and E-alkene-containing N-heterocycles are accessible. Mechanistic studies indicated that the Z-cinnamyl derivatives could be generated by photocatalytic E to Z alkene isomerization through an energy transfer process. Moreover, we find that sluggish energy transfer could inhibit the E to Z alkene isomerization process, thus offering the cinnamyl derivatives with E-selectivity. Our results highlight the benefits of the reactions using dual photoredox and cobaloxime catalysis to lead to diverse N-heterocycles.
