In recent years,speech synthesis systems have allowed for the produc-tion of very high-quality ***,research in this domain is now turning to the problem of integrating emotions into ***,the method of con-structing a speech synthesizer for each emotion has some ***,this method often requires an emotional-speech data set with many *** data sets are very time-intensive and labor-intensive to ***,training each of these models requires computers with large computational capabilities and a lot of effort and time for model *** addition,each model for each emotion failed to take advantage of data sets of other *** this paper,we propose a new method to synthesize emotional speech in which the latent expressions of emotions are learned from a small data set of professional actors through a Flow-tron *** addition,we provide a new method to build a speech corpus that is scalable and whose quality is easy to ***,to produce a high-quality speech synthesis model,we used this data set to train the tacotron 2 *** used it as a pre-trained model to train the Flowtron *** applied this method to synthesize Vietnamese speech with sadness and *** opi-nion score(MOS)assessment results show that MOS is 3.61 for sadness and 3.95 for *** conclusion,the proposed method proves to be more effec-tive for a high degree of automation and fast emotional sentence generation,using a small emotional-speech data set.

We present a system for the removal of objects from videos. As input, the system only needs a user to draw a few strokes on the first frame, roughly delimiting the objects to be removed. to the best of our knowledge, this is the first system allowing the semi-automatic removal of objects from videos with complex backgrounds. the key steps of our system are the following: after initialization, segmentation masks are first refined and then automatically propagated through the video. Missing regions are then synthesized using video inpainting techniques. Our system can deal with multiple, possibly crossing objects, with complex motions, and with dynamic textures. this results in a computational tool that can alleviate tedious manual operations for editing high-quality videos.

Determination of Shear Bond strength(SBS)at interlayer of double-layer asphalt concrete is crucial in flexible pavement *** study used three Machine learning(ML)models,including K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN),Extra trees(Et),and Light Gradient Boosting Machine(LGBM),to predict SBS based on easily determinable input ***,the Grid Search technique was employed for hyper-parameter tuning of the ML models,and cross-validation and learning curve analysis were used for training the *** models were built on a database of 240 experimental results and three input variables:temperature,normal pressure,and tack coat *** validation was performed using three statistical criteria:the coefficient of determination(R2),the Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),and the mean absolute error(MAE).Additionally,SHAP analysis was also used to validate the importance of the input variables in the prediction of the *** show that these models accurately predict SBS,with LGBM providing outstanding ***(Shapley Additive explanation)analysis for LGBM indicates that temperature is the most influential factor on ***,the proposed ML models can quickly and accurately predict SBS between two layers of asphalt concrete,serving practical applications in flexible pavement structure design.

Although amniotic membrane transplantation(AMt)has long been used as an essential surgical technique for ocular surface reconstruction,its role continues to evolve and *** the management of numerous ocular surface disorders,ranging from inflammatory to infectious,traumatic to neoplastic,the ability to perform AMt is a valuable addition to the skillset of any *** purpose of this paper is to provide ophthalmologists with an updated,evidence-based review of the clinical indications for AMt in corneal and conjunctival reconstruction,reviewing its common and even experimental applications known to *** methods of amniotic membrane preservation,the available commercial amniotic membrane products to date,and future directions for amniotic membrane use,including amniotic membrane extract eye drops(AMEED),are also *** is paramount for ophthalmologists to stay up-to-date on the applications of AMt so as to effectively incorporate this versat.le treatment modality into their practice,both in the operating room and in the *** familiarizing the general ophthalmologist with its diverse applications,we hope to motivate general ophthalmologists to incorporate the use of AMt into their clinical practice,or provide guidance on how to recognize when referral to a corneal specialist for amniotic membrane application is prudent.

Invasive inflammation and excessive scar formation are the main reasons for the difficulty in repairing nervous tissue after spinal cord *** and astrocytes play key roles in the spinal cord injury micro-environment and share a close ***,the mechanisms involved remain *** this study,we found that after spinal cord injury,resting microglia(M0)were polarized into pro-inflammatory phenotypes(MG1 and MG3),while resting astrocytes were polarized into reactive and scar-forming *** expression of growth arrest-specific 6(Gas6)and its receptor Axl were significantly down-regulated in microglia and astrocytes after spinal cord *** vitro experiments showed that Gas6 had negative effects on the polarization of reactive astrocytes and pro-inflammatory microglia,and even inhibited the cross-regulation between *** further demonstrated that Gas6 can inhibit the polarization of reactive astrocytes by suppressing the activation of the Yes-associated protein signaling ***,in turn,inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia by suppressing the activation of the nuclear factor-κB/p65 and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling *** vivo experiments showed that Gas6 inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia and reactive astrocytes in the injured spinal cord,thereby promoting tissue repair and motor function ***,Gas6 may play a role in the treatment of spinal cord *** can inhibit the inflammatory pathway of microglia and polarization of astrocytes,attenuate the interaction between microglia and astrocytes in the inflammatory microenvironment,and thereby alleviate local inflammation and reduce scar formation in the spinal cord.

this paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. the strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. the curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. the accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

Engineered cementitious composites(ECC),also known as bendable concrete,were developed based on engineering the interactions between fibers and cementitious *** orientation of fibers,in this regard,is one of the major factors influencing the duct.le behavior of this *** this study,fiber orientation distributions in ECC beams influenced by different casting techniques are evaluated via numerical modeling of the casting *** casting directions and two casting positions of the funnel outlet with beam specimens are modeled using a particle-based smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)*** this SPH approach,fresh mortar and fiber are discretized by separated mortar and fiber particles,which smoothly interact in the computational domain of *** movement of fiber particles is monitored during the casting ***,the fiber orientations at different sections of specimens are determined after the fresh ECC stops flowing in the *** simulation results show a significant impact of the casting direction on fiber orientation distributions along the longitudinal wall of beams,which eventually influence the flexural strength of *** addition,casting positions show negligible influences on the orientation distribution of fibers in the short ECC beam,except under the pouring position.
