Characteristics of ungauged catchments can be studied from the hydrological model parameters of gauged *** this research,discharge prediction was carried out in ungauged catchments using HEC-HMS in the central Omo-Gibe *** regression,spatial proximity,area ratio,and sub-basin mean were amalgamated for *** regional model parameters of the gauged catchment and physical characteristics of ungauged catchments were collated together to develop the equations to predict discharge from ungauged *** the sensitivity analysis,crop coefficient(CC),storage coefficient(R),constant rate(CR),and time of concentration(TC)are found to be more sensitive than *** model efficiency was evaluated using Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency(N_(SE))which was greater than 0.75,varying between−10%and+10%and the coefficient of determination(R^(2))was approximated to be 0.8 during the calibration and validation *** model parameters in ungauged catchments were determined using the regional model(linear regression),sub-basin mean,area ratio,and spatial proximity methods,and the discharge was simulated using the HEC-HMS *** regression was used in the prediction where p-value≤0.1,determination coefficient(R2)=0.91 for crop coefficient(CC)and 0.99 for maximum deficit(MD).Constant rate(CR),maximum storage(MS),initial storage(IS),storage coefficient(R),and time of concentration(TC)were *** result is that an average of 30 m^(3)/s and 15 m^(3)/s as the maximum monthly simulated flow for ungauged sub-catchments,*** and Mansa of the main river basin.

Endothelial dysfunction is the postulated link between coronary artery disease （CAD） and erectile dysfunction （ED）. Brachial artery flow-mediated vasodilatation （FMD） is a non-invasive surrogate marker for endothelial function assessment. Despite Asian Indians representing a considerable global CAD burden, data on FMD and ED in these patients are lacking. Of the 225 patients undergoing coronary angiography, 72% had ED （assessed using the International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF-5） questionnaire）; ED was moderate to severe in 61% of the patients. ED patients had a higher incidence of severe and diffuse angiographic CAD, a greater number of coronary vessels involved and a lower mean brachial artery FMD （6.40%±4.60% vs. 9.10%±4.87%, P〈0.001） compared to non-ED patients. A progressive reduction in FMD was noted with increasing severity of ED. Impaired FMD （ ≤ 5.5%） was twice as common in ED patients （52% vs. 24% without ED）. Patients with impaired FMD had higher ED prevalence （85% vs. 62%） and lower mean I IEF-5 scores compared to those with normal FMD. Impaired FMD was a significant ED predictor independent of other risk factors （odds ratio, 2.33; 95% confidence interval： 0.59-9.23; P=0.03）. An inverse correlation between FMD and ED severity was observed （r=-0.22; P=0.004）. ED is common among Asian Indians with angiographically documented CAD. Patients with ED have impaired FMD independent of other risk factors, suggesting that endothelial dysfunction is the underlying pathophysiology. Urologists and cardiologists need to be aware of the association between ED, CAD and endothelial dysfunction.

Life cycle of glaciers in the Himalayan region has notably changed due to the climatic variability since last few decades. Glaciers across the world and specially the Himalayan glaciers have shown large scale degeneration in the last few decades. Himalayan glaciers serve as an important fresh water resource for the downstream communities, who are dependent on this water for domestic and other purposes. Therefore, glacier shrinkage and the associated hydrological changes pose a significant problem for regional-scale water budgets and resource management. These issues necessitate the regular and rigorous monitoring of the wastage pattern of the Himalayan glaciers in field and using satellite remote sensing data. In this work, we report rapid and enhanced degeneration of the frontal part of the Kangriz glacier, Jammu and Kashmir(J & K), in terms of surface melting, debris cover, snout characteristics and meltwater discharge. Ablation data acquired during 2016-2017 shows the average lowering of the frontal part of the glacier to be ~148 ± 34 cm, one-third of which was found to have occurred within a 13 day time period in September, 2017. Also, the quantum of ice melt was found to be inversely influenced(r =-0.84) by the debris thickness. 15 day meltwater discharge measurement revealed its strong relationship with snout disintegration pattern, evidenced twice during the said time period. Volume of water discharged from the glacier was estimated to be 7.91×10~6 m^3 for the measurement duration. Also, mean daily discharge estimated for the 15 days interval showed good positive correction(r = 0.78) with temperature indicating the direct dependency of the former on land surface temperature conditions of the region. Besides the lowering and discharge observations, the frequent ice-block break-offs at the glacier snout further enhance its overall drastic degeneration. 【目的】印度大部分露尾甲在腐烂的水果和蔬菜上大量发生,其种群在一年中表现出明显的季节性波动。据推测,露尾甲种群很大程度上依赖于温度、湿度和降雨之类的环境因子。【方法】本研究调查了2013-2015年印度加尔各答市区外围一地Garia的露尾甲物种组成、季节性发生和种群结构,记录了其活跃时期、季节性多度和影响其发生的因素。【结果】调查期间在调查地共发现数目不等的6个物种。其中最常见露尾甲为Urophorus humeralis,它是个体数量最多的物种且在一年中几乎所有月份均有发生;其他常见物种为Epuraea ocularis和***。不同物种在食物发酵的连续阶段进入诱捕器中。最初12 h被捕获的是Epuraea属的种类,而在诱捕器中食物严重腐烂的后续阶段发现最多的是***。在合适范围的气温(22~29℃)和相对湿度(82.5%~86%)下,物种丰富度最高,表明这些环境变量对露尾甲种群具有重要影响。【结论】加尔各答主要水果和蔬菜在季风后季节种植,在季风后季节取食这些作物的露尾甲发生量(物种丰富度和多度)最高。这一研究结果可能有助于制定针对这些甲虫的有效田间治理策略。

A New Technique for Leakage Reduction in 65 nm Footerless Domino Circuits

A new circuit technique for 65 nm technology is proposed in this paper for reducing the subthreshold and gate oxide leakage currents in idle and non idle mode of operation for footerless domino circuits. In this technique a p-type and an n-type leakage controlled transistors (LCTs) are introduced between the pull-up and pull-down network and the gate of one is controlled by the source of the other. For any combination of input, one of the LCT will operate near its cut off region and will increase the resistance between supply voltage and ground resulting in reduced leakage current. Furthermore, the leakage current is suppressed at the output inverter circuit by inserting a transistor below the n-type transistor of the inverter offering more resistive path between supply voltage and ground. The proposed technique is applied on benchmark circuits reduction of active power consumption is observed from 10.9% to 44.76% at different temperature variations. For same benchmark circuits, operating at two clock modes and giving low and high inputs at 25℃ and 110℃ temperatures the maximum leakage power saving of 98.9% is achieved when compared to standard footerless domino logic circuits.

The mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)is a protein kinase that controls cellular metabolism,catabolism,immune responses,autophagy,survival,proliferation,and migration,to maintain cellular *** mTOR signaling cascade consists of two distinct multi-subunit complexes named mTOR complex 1/2(mTORC1/2).mTOR catalyzes the phosphorylation of several critical proteins like AKT,protein kinase C,insulin growth factor receptor(IGF-1R),4E binding protein 1(4E-BP1),ribosomal protein S6 kinase(S6K),transcription factor EB(TFEB),sterol-responsive element-binding proteins(SREBPs),Lipin-1,and Unc-51-like autophagy-activating *** signaling plays a central role in regulating translation,lipid synthesis,nucleotide synthesis,biogenesis of lysosomes,nutrient sensing,and growth factor *** emerging pieces of evidence have revealed that the constitutive activation of the mTOR pathway due to mutations/amplification/deletion in either mTOR and its complexes(mTORC1 and mTORC2)or upstream targets is responsible for aging,neurological diseases,and human ***,we provide the detailed structure of mTOR,its complexes,and the comprehensive role of upstream regulators,as well as downstream effectors of mTOR signaling cascades in the metabolism,biogenesis of biomolecules,immune responses,and ***,we summarize the potential of long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)as an important modulator of mTOR ***,we have highlighted the potential of mTOR signaling in aging,neurological disorders,human cancers,cancer stem cells,and drug ***,we discuss the developments for the therapeutic targeting of mTOR signaling with improved anticancer efficacy for the benefit of cancer patients in clinics.

BACKGROUND Limb length discrepancy(LLD)after total knee arthroplasty(TKA)has been considered as one of the reasons for the unsatisfactory ***,there is no consensus about the extent of LLD that can be considered as clinically *** To evaluate the incidence of radiographic LLD and its impact on functional outcome following *** All randomized-controlled trial and observational studies on LLD in TKA,published till 22nd June 2020,were systematically searched and *** primary outcome was“limb lengthening or LLD after TKA”.The secondary outcomes included“assessment of LLD in varus/valgus deformity”and“impact of LLD on the functional outcome”.RESULTS Of 45 retrieved studies,qualitative and quantitative assessment of data was performed from eight studies and six studies,*** studies(n=1551)reported the average limb lengthening of 5.98 *** LLD after TKA was ranging from 0.4±10 mm to 15.3±2.88 *** incidence of postoperative radiographic LLD was reported in 44%to 83.3%of *** was no difference in the preoperative and postoperative LLD(MD-1.23;95%CI:-3.72,1.27;P=0.34).Pooled data of two studies(n=219)revealed significant limb lengthening in valgus deformity than varus(MD-2.69;95%CI:-5.11,0.27;P=0.03).The pooled data of three studies(n=611)showed significantly worse functional outcome in patients with LLD of≥10 mm compared to<10 mm(standard MD 0.58;95%CI:0.06,1.10;P=0.03).CONCLUSION Limb lengthening after TKA is common,and it is significantly more in valgus than varus *** LLD(≥10 mm)is associated with suboptimal functional outcome.
