The anisotropic physical property is the most noteworthy feature of *** this paper,the subscript change method is used to analyze the sign changes of different tensors describing physical properties in uniaxial *** distribution of some physical properties in special point groups exhibits non-symmetry in eight quadrants,which should attract the attention of crystal *** difference between the crystallographic and physical coordinate systems and the lack of crystal symmetry operations are considered to be the origins of the *** avoid ambiguities and difficulties in characterizing and applying crystal physical properties,eight quadrants in space should be ***,we proposed the use of piezoelectric properties to define the positive direction of the optical coordinate axis prior to the research and applications of optical properties.

Facile synthesis of multi-branched gold nanostructures by using the tetrabutyl ammonium bromide （TBAB） as a capping agent is described. The reaction is carried out in a one-step process at mild temperature. Gold nanostructures with more than six sharp branches ranging from 70 to 130 nm in length are synthesized in high yield. It is proposed that the relative weak adsorption capacity of TBAB leads to the incompletely covered gold surface and the growth of nanoparticles occurs on the uncovered gold surface, and therefore short branches appear consequently. Then positively charged TBAB layers on the gold surfaces prevent the branches from aggregating with each other which stimulates the branch growth. The prepared branched gold nanoparticles show efficient surface-enhanced Raman scattering （SERS） properties. Low temperature （4 ℃） is unfavorable to the formation of multi-branched gold nanostructures, and only thin small irregular plate-like nanoparticles are produced. The addition of SDS in TBAB aqueous solution results in forming SDS micelles at much lower concentration of SDS （0.4 mmol/L） as compared to that in pure water, and short branched gold nanoparticles are obtained in the SDS-TBAB system.

Benzotriazole,N,N'-dimethylpiperazine and N-methylpiperazine were applied to crystallize with 5-sulfosalicylic acid(5-H2SSA),affording three new binary molecular cocrystals [(C6H6N3+).(C7H5O6S-)].H2O(1),[(C6H16N22+)1/2.(C7H5O6S-)].H2O(2) and [(C5H14N22+).(C7H5O6S-)2].3H2O(3) under general ***-transferring occurs from acid to nitrogen of N-donor compounds in all compounds 1,2 and *** of the hydrogen-bonding synthons and their effects on crystal packing were also presented in the context of crystal engineering and host-guest *** compound 1,1-D infinite chains are extended to a 2-D layered architecture via strong O-H...O hydrogen bonds and then to a 3-D network by N-H...O *** 2 and 3 both have the 1-D chain which is formed by O-H...O bonds and weak C-H...O hydrogen bonds.A common intramolecular S(6) [synthon I] ring is formed by the hydroxyl with the carboxyl group in all three compounds.

Rapid epitaxy of 2-inch and high-quality α-Ga_(2)O_(3) films by mist-CVD method

High thickness uniformity and large-scale films of α-Ga_(2)O_(3) are crucial factors for the development of power *** this work, a high-quality 2-inch α-Ga_(2)O_(3) epitaxial film on c-plane sapphire substrates was prepared by the mist-CVD *** growth rate and phase control mechanisms were systematically investigated. The growth rate of the α-Ga_(2)O_(3) films was limited by the evaporation of the microdroplets containing gallium acetylacetonate. By adjusting the substrate position(z) from 80 to 50 mm, the growth rate was increased from 307 nm/h to 1.45 μm/h when the growth temperature was fixed at 520 °*** the growth temperature exceeded 560 °C, ε-Ga_(2)O_(3) was observed to form at the edges of 2-inch sapphire *** control was achieved by adjusting the growth temperature. When the growth temperature was 540 °C and the substrate position was 50 mm, the full-width at half maximum(FWHM) of the rocking curves for the(0006) and(10-14) planes were 0.023° and 1.17°. The screw and edge dislocations were 2.3 × 10~6 and 3.9 × 10~(10)cm~(-2), respectively. Furthermore, the bandgaps and optical transmittance of α-Ga_(2)O_(3) films grown under different conditions were characterized utilizing UV-visible and near-IR scanning spectra.

Four hydroxybenzoic acid building blocks, m-hydroxybenzoic acid, 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid, and 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid, have been synthesized as robust cocrystallizing agents and employed in reactions with piperazine, including [（C4H12N2 2＋）.（C7H5O3-）2] （l）, [（CaH12N2 2＋）.（C7H5O4-）2] （2）, [（C4H12N2 2＋）.（C8H5O6 2- ）] （3）, and [（C4H12N2 2＋）1/2. （C8H5O5）] . 2H2O （4）. Hydrogen-bonded directed assemblies of four salts were validated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In compounds 1-4, hydroxybenzoic acids are all deprotonated and piperazine molecules are all protonated to form piperazine dications and keep the chair conformation. Thermal stability of these compounds has been investigated.

Synthesis and characterization of a new open-framework zinc phosphite (4,4-(C_5H_4N)_2(CH_2)_3)·[Zn_3(HPO_3)_4]

Employing 4,4＇-trimethylenedipyridine as a template, a new two-dimensional zinc phosphite （4,4＇-（CsH4N）2（CH2）3）＂ [Zna（HPO3）4] has been prepared at room temperature and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, FTIR, elemental analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c, with cell parameters, a = 9.3309（19）/k, b = 14.798（3）A, c = 33.637（7）/k, β= 91.11（3）°, V = 4643.8（16） nm3 and Z = 4. The connectivity of the ZnO4 tetrahedra and HPO3 pseudo pyramids results in infinite corner-sharing 4-membered ring chains as second building units which are further linked by Zn-O-P bonds to form a 2-D layer that with interesting 8-membered ring channels along the [100] direction. The diprotonated 4,4＇-trimethylenedipyridine molecules sit in the middle of the layers along the [100] direction and interact with the framework via hydrogen bonds.
