With object oriented design/analysis, a general purpose corrosion data model (GPCDM) and a corrosion data markup language (CDML) are created to meet the increasing demand of multi-source corrosion data integration and sharing. "Cor- rosion data island" is proposed to model the corrosion data of comprehensiveness and self-contained. The island of tree-liked structure contains six first-level child nodes to characterize every important aspect of the corrosion data. Each first-level node holds more child nodes recursively as data containers. The design of data structure inside the island is intended to decrease the learning curve and break the acceptance barrier of GPCDM and CDML. A detailed explanation about the role and meaning of the first-level nodes are presented with examples chosen carefully in order to review the design goals and requirements proposed in the previous paper. Then, CDML tag structure and CDML application programming interface (API) are introduced in logic order. At the end, the roles of GPCDM, CDML and its API in the multi-source corrosion data integration and information sharing are highlighted and projected.

A brand new design of integrated corrosion information system is introduced to meet the constantly increasing demands of material corrosion information. Two concepts, "general-purpose corrosion data model" and "public corrosion data ex-changing interface", are suggested to integrate a wide variety of corrosion data sources based on detailed analysis on characteristics of each source in order to promote the information sharing and data mining. The architecture of integrated corrosion information environment is blueprinted. The insight analysis is focused on 1) architecture of the system; 2) data flow and information sharing; 3) roles of system players and their interactions; 4) approaches to data integration. Several key issues are addressed in detail including coverage of data model, data source integration and mitigation, and data granularity from system performance and model acceptance points of view. At the end, the design and implementation ap-proach of general corrosion data model is presented based on cutting edge IT techniques.

This paper proposes a stochastic prediction DEA model with undesirable outputs and simplifies the process using chance-constrained techniques in order to obtain an equivalent linear programming formulation. The existence and stability of the optimal solutions have been proved. And the model is used to describe and predict the efficiency of anti-HIV therapy in AIDS patients.

In this study,a novel non-metallic carbon-based catalyst co-doped with boron and nitrogen(B,N)was successfully *** precisely controlling the carbonization temperature of a binary mixed ionic liquid,we selectively modified the doping site structure,ultimately constructing a B,N co-doped frustrated Lewis acid-base pair *** catalyst exhibited remarkable catalytic activity,selectivity,and stability in the dehydrochlorination reaction of 1,1,2-trichloroethane(TCE).Detailed characterization and theoretical calculations revealed that the primary active center of this catalyst was the BN_(3)*** to conventional graphitic N structures,the BN_(3)structure had a higher p-band center,ensuring superior adsorption and activation capabilities for TCE during the *** the BN_(3)site,three negatively charged nitrogen atoms acted as Lewis bases,while positively charged boron atoms acted as Lewis *** synergistic interaction facilitated the specific dissociation of chlorine and hydrogen atoms from TCE,significantly enhancing the 1,1-dichloroethene *** this research,we not only explored the active site structure and catalytic mechanism of B,N co-doped catalysts in depth but also provided an efficient,selective,and stable catalyst for the dehydrochlorination of TCE,contributing significantly to the development of non-metallic catalysts.

All-solid-state batteries,renowned for their enhanced safety and high energy density,have garnered broad *** solid electrolytes are highly anticipated for their balanced ***,their high Young’s modulus and inadaptability to volume change during cycling lead to poor contact and eventual battery *** this work,Young’s modulus of Li_(1+x)(OH)_(x)Cl samples is lowered to a level comparable to that of sulfide by regulating the–OH *** the–OH content increases,Young’s modulus of Li_(1+x)(OH)_(x)Cl samples decreases *** may be due to the local aggregation of–OH groups,forming cavities similar to LiOH structure,which reduces the bonding of the *** the premise of high Li-ion conductivity and electrochemical stability,the lowered Young’s modulus improves the contact between the solid electrolyte and the electrodes,forming a strong and stable interfacial layer,thereby improving interfacial and cycling *** symmetrical lithium metal cell shows excellent cycle performance of 600 h,and the assembled LiFePO_(4)|Li_(2.4)(OH)1.4Cl|Li cell shows significantly enhanced cycling endurance with 80%capacity retention after 150 *** work not only emphasizes the crucial importance of Young’s modulus in improving interface issues but also offers innovative approaches to advance the mechanical properties of solid electrolytes.

It is essential to determine the occurrence of emerging organic contaminants(EOCs),such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCPs),in the ambient environment to address growing public ***,such analysis is quite challenging due to the low trace level of such contaminants in water,which therefore requires several litres of water *** this study,a large volume solid phase extraction(LV-SPE)device was developed and evaluated for its performance in monitoring PPCPs as an *** good recoveries and reproducibility were obtained under specific operating conditions:a water sample volume of no more than 20 L,a flow rate not exceeding 120 mL/min,and a methanol elution volume of at least 30 *** addition,the results from the onsite enrichment approach using LV-SPE were compared with those from the conventional approach using a standard SPE device in the laboratory for real groundwater *** the eight selected PPCPs(nalidixic acid,carbamazepine,bezafibrate,clofibric acid,sulfadiazine,sulfamethoxypyridazine,sulfamethazine and sulfamonomethoxine),LV-SPE approach detected more target *** the detected concentrations were generally comparable,slightly higher concentrations were observed for carbamazepine,clofibric acid,sulfadiazine and sulfamethazine using the LV-SPE *** developed LV-SPE device provides an alternative approach for trace analysis of PPCPs and may also be applicable for other emerging organic contaminants.

Microencapsulation phase change material slurry(MEPCMS) becomes a potential working fluid for cooling high energy density miniaturized components,thanks to the latent heat absorption of particles in the heat transfer *** this work,the Discrete Phase Model(DPM) based on the Euler-Lagrangian method is used to numerically investigate the convective heat transfer characteristics of MEPCMS flowing through a rectangular minichannel with constant heat *** results show that particles of MEPCMS are mainly subjected to drag force during the *** so,they can migrate from the high-temperature region to the low-temperature region driven by the thermophoretic force,affecting the particle distribution and phase change ***,the Nux of the MEPCMS fluctuates due to particle phase change with varying specific heat ***,the value increases first,then decreases,and eventually increases again until it approaches the fully developed value of the pure base fluid as the particles gradually ***,the heat transfer performance of the MEPCMS is influenced by the combination of fluid inlet temperature fluid inlet velocity(v),and mass concentration(c_(m)) of MEPCM *** result shows that the maximum reduction of the maximum bottom wall temperature difference(ΔT_(w)) is 23.98% at T_(in)=293.15 K,v=0.15 m·s^(-1),c_(m)=10%.

Preparation and characterization of nano-crystalline diamond films on glass substrate

Adherent nano diamond films were successfully deposited on glass substrate bymicrowave plasma assisted CVD method in H_2-CH_4 and Ar-CH_4 environment. Raman, AFM (Atomic ForceMicroscope), TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope), FTIR, and Nano Indentation techniques were usedfor characterization of the obtained nano diamond films. It was found that the average grain sizewas less than 100 nm with a surface roughness value as low as 2 nm. The nano diamond films werefound to have excellent transparency in visible and IR spectrum range, and were as hard as naturaldiamond. Experimental results were presented. Mechanisms for nano diamond film deposition werediscussed.
