Motivated by proxy signature and blind signature for the secure communications,the batch signature is proposed to create a novel quantum cryptosystem.It is based on three-dimensional two-particle-entangled quantum system which is used to distribute the quantum keys and create strings of quantum-trits(qutrits) for messages.All of the messages,which are expected to be signed,are encrypted by the private key of the message owner during communications.Different from the classical blind signature,an authenticity verification of signatures and an arbitrator’s efficient batch proxy signature are simultaneously applied in the present scheme.Analysis of security and efficiency shows that it enables us to achieve a large number of quantum blind signatures for quantities of messages with a high efficiency with the arbitrator’s secure batch proxy blind signature.

BACKGROUND： Vitamin D is a fat-soluble sterol derivative that is predominantly synthesized in the liver and has multiple functions. The accumulative data showed that the clinical manifestations and prognosis of chronic liver diseases are associated with serum vitamin D levels. DATA SOURCES： A PubMed and Google Scholar search using terms：＂vitamin D＂, ＂25 （OH）D＂, ＂liver disease＂, ＂viral hepatitis＂, ＂non-alcoholic fatty liver disease＂, ＂liver fibrosis＂, ＂cirrhosis＂, ＂hepatocellular carcinoma＂ and ＂autoimmune liver disease＂ was performed, and relevant articles published in English between January 2000 and March 2014 were reviewed. Fulb text publications relevant to the field were selected and relevant articles from reference lists were also included. RESULTS： The insufficiency or deficiency of vitamin D is common in various kinds of chronic liver diseases including viral hepatitis B and C. Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D and vitamin D receptors are possibly interrelated with the incidence, treatment and prognosis of diseases. Though the evidence of vitamin D supplementation in viral hepatitis and associated liver diseases is still limited, there is great potential to apply this adjuvant therapy to improve the treatments. CONCLUSIONS： Although the exact role and mechanisms of vitamin D have not been fully elucidated in chronic liver diseases, it is potentially beneficial in the treatment of chronic liver diseases. Further mechanistic studies are needed to validate its clinical application.

Using fewer catalysts to promote the chemical conversion of more substrates is the dream synthesis pursued by synthetic chemists.Achieving highly selective reactions using trace amounts(100:1).The catalyst could be recycled numerous times in a continuous flow system without reductions in activity and selectivity.This work demonstrated the application prospect of the SAC in the synthesis of complex organic compounds and trace amount catalysis,which can lay the foundation for its large-scale and industrialized application in drug synthesis and other fields.

Artistic video stylization, which is widely used in multimedia entertainment, transforms a given video into different artistic styles. Most of the existing video stylization algorithms can simulate single or limited video artistic styles. Although some algorithms can achieve multi-style video processing, these algorithms are complex and difficult to implement. To solve this problem, we propose a multi-styled video stylization algorithm based on texture advection, where different artistic styles are synthesized and transferred from user-specified texture samples of desired styles. We use the direction field-guided texture synthesis to compute the texture layer that represents the artistic style. Painterly directional video styles are simulated competently by the orientation changes in the synthesized anisotropic textures. There appeared local distorted region of the texture layer during texture advection under the optical flow field. To address this issue, we propose the texture inpaint to synthesize the limited distorted region and make the stylized video temporally coherent. We also accelerate the video stylization by using the CUDA parallel computing framework that parallelly computes the morphological operations used for video abstraction. Finally, we produce stylized videos of multiple artistic styles with satisfactory experimental results, including the styles of oil painting, watercolor painting and stylized lines drawing.

BACKGROUND Tocilizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody against the interleukin-6(IL-6)receptor that is commonly used to treat large vessel vasculitis and antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-related small vessel vasculitis.However,tocilizumab in combination with glucocorticoids for successfully treating granulomatosis with polyangiitis(GPA)has rarely been reported.CASE SUMMARY Here,we report a 40-year-old male patient who suffered GPA for 4 years.He was treated with multiple rounds of drugs,including cyclophosphamide,Tripterygium wilfordii,mycophenolate mofetil,and belimumab,with no improvement.In addition,he exhibited persistently high IL-6 levels.After tocilizumab treatment,his symptoms improved,and his inflammatory marker levels returned to normal.CONCLUSION Tocilizumab may be effective for treating GPA.

Developing a phototherapy modality to ablate tumor and then trigger immunogenic cell death(ICD)for simultaneously eliminating distal and metastatic tumors holds great promise in clinical applications.Herein,the polyethylene glycol functionalized Ni_(2)P(Ni_(2)P@PEG NPs)is developed with enhanced biocompatibility,high photoabsorption and photothermal efficiency,as well as reactive oxygen species generation ability.Of particular note,Ni_(2)P@PEG NPs mediated phototherapy could not only realize efficient ablation of primary tumors,but also inhibit distal tumors and metastatic tumors by triggering an antitumor immune response.The above conclusions were verified by B mode ultrasound,western blot assay,and immunohistochemistry analysis.Meanwhile,Ni_(2)P@PEG NPs showed excellent magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)properties.In summary,the MRI-guided multimodal cancer therapies of Ni_(2)P@PEG NPs represent significant potential for clinical applications.

Numerous recent studies have shown that myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs),a strongly heterogeneous population of immunosuppressive cells,are dysregulated in the presence of many cancers.MDSCs present different phenotypes and play prominent roles in the tumor microenvironment.To date,gene therapies targeting MDSCs are the most innovative and flexible methods to specifically modify the tumor microenvironment.Here,we summarize current studies related to the phenotypes,functions,and mechanisms of MDSCs and explore the therapeutic landscape of chemokines that affect the balance between subpopulations of MDSCs.

Influence of powder oxidation on powder properties and formability in H13 hot-work steels processed by electron beam melting

The oxygen content of metal powder is decisive for the recyclability of powder.The research on the effect of oxygen content on powder properties and material formability has practical significance for economical production with additive manufacturing while preventing the waste of resources.Here,we deliberately oxidized the powder by baking at high temperature to increase the oxygen content in the powder and gave the calculation method of the oxygen content in the powder oxidation film.The majority of oxygen element was found in the oxide particles in the powder and the oxide flm on the powder surface,which did affect the flowability of the powder.It is worth noting that the increase in the oxygen content does not change the phase of H13 steel,but it can promote the molten pool flow and obtain a smoother surface.The increase in the oxygen content in the powder is not the decisive factor for the formability and defects of the printed samples.It is the combined effect of the powder deformation,the increase in the oxygen content,and the impurity pollution after repeated use,which leads to the limitation of repeated utilization of the powder.

Electroacupuncture Attenuates Immune-Inflammatory Response in Hippocampus of Rats with Vascular Dementia by Inhibiting TLR4/MyD88 Signaling Pathway

Objective:To investigate whether electroacupuncture(EA)alleviates cognitive impairment by suppressing the toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88)signaling pathway,which triggers immune-inflammatory responses in the hippocampus of rats with vascular dementia(VaD).Methods:The experiments were conducted in 3 parts and in total the Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 8 groups by a random number table,including sham,four-vessel occlusion(4-VO),4-VO+EA,4-VO+non-EA,sham+EA,4-VO+lipopolysaccharide(LPS),4-VO+LPS+EA,and 4-VO+TAK-242 groups.The VaD model was established by the 4-VO method.Seven days later,rats were treated with EA at 5 acupoints of Baihui(DV 20),Danzhong(RN 17),Geshu(BL 17),Qihai(RN 6)and Sanyinjiao(SP 6),once per day for 3 consecutive weeks.Lymphocyte subsets,lymphocyte transformation rates,and inflammatory cytokines interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α)were measured to assess immune function and inflammation in VaD rats.Transmission electron microscopy was used to observe the ultrastructure of nerve cells in the hippocampus.The levels of TLR4,MyD88,IL-6,and TNF-αwere detected after EA treatment.TLR4/MyD88 signaling and cognitive function were also assessed after intracerebroventricular injection of TLR4 antagonist TAK-242 or TLR4 agonist LPS with or without EA.Results:Compared with the 4-VO group,EA notably improved immune function of rats in the 4-VO+EA group,inhibited the protein and mRNA expressions of TLR4 and MyD88 in the hippocampus of rats,reduced the expressions of serum IL-6 and TNF-α(all P0.05).Conclusions:EA attenuated cognitive impairment associated with immune inflammation by inhibition of the TLR4/MyD88 signaling pathway.Thus,EA may be a promising alternative therapy for the treatment of VaD.
