Aroma is an important quality parameter for breeding in rice(Oryza sativa).For example,the aromatic rice varieties basmati and jasmine rice,with a popcorn-like scent,are popular worldwide and routinely command a price premium.2-acetyl-1-pyrroline(2AP)is a key flavor compound among over 200 volatiles identified in fragrant rice.A naturally fragrant germplasm exists in multiple plant species besides rice,which all exhibit lower activity of BETAINE ALDEHYDE DEHYDROGENASE 2(BADH2).However,no equivalent aromatic germplasm has been described in maize(Zea mays).Here,we characterized the two maize BADH2 homologs,ZmBADH2a and *** generated zmbadh2a and zmbadh2b single mutants and the zmbadh2a-zmbadh2b double mutant by CRISPR/Cas in four inbred lines.A popcorn-like scent was only noticeable in seeds from the double mutant,but not from either single mutant or in wild *** agreement,we only detected 2AP in fresh kernels and dried mature seeds from the double mutant,which accumulated between 0.028 and 0.723 mg/kg *** results suggest that ZmBADH2a and ZmBADH2b redundantly participate in 2AP biosynthesis in maize,and represent the creation of the world's first aromatic maize by simultaneous genome editing of the two BADH2 genes.

OBJECTIVE Fear can be learned indirectly, but excessive transmission of fear is essential for the development of mental illness. Previous research has indicated that the anterior insular cortex(AIC) may play a crucial role in the process of fear transmission,and abnormal AIC activity is a possible mechanism underlying various affective disorders. Inhibitory neurons are crucial for maintaining local microcircuit *** the support of novel specific neuroregulatory techniques, it is now possible to monitor and regulate different types of neurons in real-time. Therefore, investigating distinct subtypes of inhibitory neurons in the AIC that are involved in fear contagion may provide valuable insights into potential mechanisms underlying mental *** We established a modified observational fear(OF) model. A demonstrator(DM) mouse was placed in an acrylic cup at the center of the apparatus,and two observer(OB) mice were allowed to explore the DM mouse simultaneously from separate areas on either side. During the OF training, electric foot shocks were administered to the DM mouse and freezing, the side and corner time, and social interaction behavior were scored. Next, we characterized the activity patterns of distinct neuronal subtypes in the AIC using GCaMPbased calcium recording. Finally, we employed a Credependent optogenetic approach to selectively modulate excitatory or inhibitory neurons in the AIC, and investigated empathic fear behavior across different Cre transgenic mouse lines(CK2-Cre, PV-Cre, SOM-Cre, VIP-Cre).RESULTS During the training phase, the OB mice exhibited significantly higher levels of fear compared to the control group(which did not observe a traumatic event),as evidenced by increased freezing time, decreased interaction time, and increased corner zone time. Calcium fiber recording results suggested that CK2 neurons are involved in risk prediction, while PV and VIP neurons exert inhibitory control on this behavior. Optogenetic

Intestinal oxidative stress triggers gut microbiota dysbiosis,which is involved in the etiology of postweaning diarrhea and enteric *** acid(EA)can potentially serve as an antioxidant supplement to facilitate weaning transition by improving intestinal oxidative stress and gut microbiota ***,we aimed to investigate the effects of dietary EA supplementation on the attenuation of intestinal damage,oxidative stress,and dysbiosis of gut microbiota in weanling piglets.A total of126 piglets were randomly assigned into 3 groups and treated with a basal diet and 2 m L saline orally(Ctrl group),or the basal diet supplemented with 0.1%EA and 2 m L saline orally(EA group),or the basal diet and 2 m L fecal microbiota suspension from the EA group orally(FEA group),respectively,for 14 *** with the Ctrl group,EA group improved growth performance by increasing average daily feed intake and average daily weight gain(P<0.05)and decreasing fecal scores(P<0.05).EA group also alleviated intestinal damage by increasing the tight junction protein occludin(P<0.05),villus height,and villus height-to-crypt depth ratio(P<0.05),while decreasing intestinal epithelial apoptosis(P<0.05).Additionally,EA group enhanced the jejunum antioxidant capacity by increasing the total antioxidant capacity(P<0.01),catalase(P<0.05),and glutathione/oxidized glutathione(P<0.05),but decreased the oxidative metabolite malondialdehyde(P<0.05)compared to the Ctrl *** with the Ctrl group,EA and FEA groups increased alpha diversity(P<0.05),enriched beneficial bacteria(Ruminococcaceae and Clostridium ramosum),and increased metabolites short-chain fatty acids(P<0.05).Correspondingly,FEA group gained effects comparable to those of EA group on growth performance,intestinal damage,and intestinal antioxidant *** addition,the relative abundance of bacteria shifted in EA and FEA groups was significantly related to the examined indices(P<0.05).Overall,dietary EA supplemen

TiO_(2) nanoparticle is the most extensively used photocatalyst for photocatalytic ***,TiO_(2) nanoparticle is active only under UV light that accounted for less than 5%of the solar light *** is a need to develop a photocatalytic paper with full spectrum ***,a full spectrum photocatalytic paper was fabricated by incorporating cellulose fibers with graphite fibers which were pre-loaded with Ag_(2)O nanoparticles.X-ray diffraction(XRD)testing and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)examination confirmed the loading of the Ag_(2)O nanoparticles onto the graphite *** photocatalytic activity of the paper was evaluated with the degradation of methyl orange(MO)under ultraviolet,visible or near-infrared light *** was found that the degradation rate of MO could reach 32%,19%and 19%under UV,visible and NIR light,respectively after 3 h of ***,the photocatalytic paper was very stable and can be reused *** tests showed that the photocatalytic paper could inhibit Escherichia coli(***)growth under office lighting condition.

Noble metal aerogels(NMAs), belonging to the porous material, have exhibited excellent catalytic performance. Although the synthesis method continues to improve, it still exists some problems which hindered the experimental process, such as high concentration of noble metal precursors, long synthesis cycle, expensive production cost, and uncontrollable ligament length. In this work, ultrasonic wave and reducing agent Na BH;were simultaneously applied to gelation process. With the cavitation of ultrasound,it can generate huge energy with heating and stirring, thus gelation reaction proceeded quickly, and even completed the process in only a few seconds, that is much faster than the recorded. A wide concentration range was successfully expanded from 0.02 mmol/L to 62.5 mmol/L. Further, we extended this method to a variety of noble metal elements(Au, Ru, Rh, Ag, Pt, Pd), and this method is adaptive for the synthesis of single metal aerogels(Au, Ag, Ru, Rh, Pd), bimetal and trimetal aerogels(Au-Ag, Au-Rh, Au-Ru, Au-Pt,Au-Pd, Au-Pt-Pd). In addition, the ligament size of alloy aerogels are 10 nm or less. Moreover, their brilliant properties were demonstrated in hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) and ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).

为了建立发酵工艺参数与氢气产量之间的数学模型,以期获得较优的工艺参数,从而提高氢气产量,该文在单因素试验的基础上,采用三因素三水平的二次回归正交旋转组合设计及响应曲面分析法,建立了厌氧发酵产氢工艺中氢气产量的二次多项式数学模型,并以氢气产量为响应值作响应面和等高线,考察了以新鲜猪粪为发酵底物发酵产氢时初始pH值、水力停留时间和发酵底物中猪粪浓度3个因素及其交互作用对氢气产量的影响。分析结果表明,猪粪厌氧发酵产氢的较优工艺条件为:初始pH5.98,水力停留时间4.123d,猪粪干物质浓度51.98g/L;在此工艺条件下,氢气产率为32.4mL/g。

Power grid construction projects are distinguished by their wide variety,high investment,long payback period,and close relation to national development and human *** improve the investment accuracy in such projects and effectively prevent investment risks,this paper proposes an investment optimization decision-making method for multiple power grid construction projects under a certain investment ***,an in-depth analysis of the characteristics and development requirements of China’s power grid projects was ***,the time sequence and holographic method was adopted to conduct multi-dimensional,multi-perspective risk assessment of different parts of power grid projects,and a holographic risk assessment index system was ***,an investment decision model considering the comprehensive risk based on combination weighting was developed according to the output and input of power grid construction projects.A new combination weighting optimization method that takes into account the investment willingness of enterprises was designed to improve the current weighting evaluation ***,the validity and applicability of the proposed evaluation method were verified by case examples.

The nano powders of LaCrO3 were prepared by a sol-gel route. The heat capacity of LaCrO3 nano powders from 350 to 550 K was measured by DSC method and expressed as： Cpa2CrO3）（±0.112） = 166.844 - 8.500 ×10^-3T- 1.022×10^6T^-2 （J/（mol.K））（350-550 K）. An EMF measurement assembly was developed with CaF2 as an electrolyte for the galvanic cell. From measured EMF data of the reversible cell, （-） PL La2O3, LaF3, O2 （1 atm）lCaF2O2（1 atm）, LaF3, LaCrO3, Cr2O3, Pt（＋）, and the relevant value of Gibbs free energy, the Gibbs free energy of formation of LaCrO3 was calculated from 700 to 885 K： △G ФaLaCrO3 = -1555.364 ＋ 0.354T （kJ/mol）（700-885 K）. And the Gibbs free energy change of reaction from simple oxides La2O3 and Cr2O3 was calculated to be： AG f Oox（LaCrO3） = -94.758 ＋ 8.530×10^-2T（kJ/mol）（700-885 K）.
