Conventional blood sampling for glucose detection is prone to cause pain and fails to continuously record glucose fluctuations in *** glucose monitoring based on implantable electrodes could induce pain and potential tissue inflammation,and the presence of reactive oxygen species(ROS)due to inflammationmay affect glucose *** technology is less invasive,yet microneedle adhesion with skin tissue is *** this work,we developed a microarrow sensor array(MASA),which provided enhanced skin surface adhesion and enabled simultaneous detection of glucose and H_(2)O_(2)(representative of ROS)in interstitial fluid in *** microarrows fabricated via laser micromachining were modified with functional coating and integrated into a patch of a three-dimensional(3D)microneedle *** to the arrow tip mechanically interlocking with the tissue,the microarrow array could better adhere to the skin surface after penetration into *** MASA was demonstrated to provide continuous in vivo monitoring of glucose and H_(2)O_(2) concentrations,with the detection of H_(2)O_(2) providing a valuable reference for assessing the inflammation ***,the MASA was integrated into a monitoring system using custom *** work provides a promising tool for the stable and reliable monitoring of blood glucose in diabetic patients.

Modern medicine is increasingly interested in advanced sensors to detect and analyze biochemical *** sensors based on potentiometric methods are a promising platform for monitoring physiological ions in biological *** semi-implantable devices are mainly based on single-parameter *** semi-implantable electrodes for multiparameter sensing have more restrictions on the electrode size due to biocompatibility considerations,but reducing the electrode surface area could potentially limit electrode *** study developed a semi-implantable device system comprising a multiplexed microfilament electrode cluster(MMEC)and a printed circuit board for real-time monitoring of intra-tissue K^(+),Ca^(2+),and Na^(+)*** electrode surface area was less important for the potentiometric sensing mechanism,suggesting the feasibility of using a tiny fiber-like electrode for potentiometric *** MMEC device exhibited a broad linear response(K^(+):2–32 mmol/L;Ca^(2+):0.5–4 mmol/L;Na^(+):10–160 mmol/L),high sensitivity(about 20–45 mV/decade),temporal stability(>2weeks),and good selectivity(>80%)for the above *** vitro detection and in vivo subcutaneous and brain experiment results showed that the MMEC system exhibits good multi-ion monitoring performance in several complex *** work provides a platform for the continuous real-time monitoring of ion fluctuations in different situations and has implications for developing smart sensors to monitor human health.

Early triassic Silicic Volcanics of South China:Petrogenesis and Constraints on the Geodynamic Evolution of the Paleo-tethys Ocean Region

the only occurrence of Lower triassic silicic volcanic rocks within the South China Block is in the qinzhou Bay area of Guangxi ***-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating reveals that volcanic rocks of the Beisi and Banba formations formed between 248.8±1.6 and 246.5±1.3 Ma,coeval with peraluminous granites of the qinzhou Bay Granitic *** studied rhyolites and dacites are characterized by high SiO_(2),K_(2)O,and Al_(2)O_(3),and low MgO,CaO,and P_(2)O_(5) contents and are classified as high-K calc-alkaline S-type rocks,with A/CNK=*** volcanic rocks are depleted in high field strength elements,e.g.,Nb,ta,ti,and P,and enriched in large ion lithophile elements,e.g.,Rb,K,Sr,and *** the analyzed volcanic rocks have extremely enriched zircon Hf isotopic compositions(ε_(Hf)(t)=-29.1 to-6.9),source discrimination indicators and high calculated ti-in-zircon temperatures(798-835℃)reveal that magma derived from enriched lithospheric mantle not only provided a heat source for anatectic melting of the metasedimentary protoliths but was also an endmember component of the S-type silicic *** studied early triassic volcanics are inferred to have formed immediately before closure of the Paleo-tethys Ocean in this region,as the associated subduction would have generated an extensional setting in which the mantle-derived upwelling and volcanic activity occurred.

the large-scale implementation of the Gully Stabilization and Land Reclamation(GSLR)project induces various failures of loess slopes due to excavation in Yan'an,***,the deformation and failure behavior of these excavated loess slopes have not been fully *** this study,field investigation was undertaken for analyzing the distributions and failure features of excavation-induced loess slope *** is found that plastic failure mainly occurs in q_(3) loess layers and brittle failure in q_(2).to understand the underlying failure mechanism,a series of triaxial shear tests were conducted on intact q_(3) and q_(2) loess samples that with different water contents,namely natural water content(natural),dry side of the natural value(drying 5%),and wet side(wetting 5%).the characteristics of stress-strain curves and failure modes of the samples were *** show that the stress-strain curves of q_(2) samples are dominated by strain-softening characteristics,while q_(3) samples mainly exhibit strain-harden features except in the drying ***,shear failures of q_(3) specimens are mainly caused by shear crack planes(single,X or V-shaped).For q_(2) loess,the dominance of tensile cracks is observed on the surface of damaged *** disclose the different failure modes of excavated slopes located in different strata,that is,the arc sliding failure of q_(3) loess slopes and the stepped tensile failure of q_(2) loess slopes,and are helpful in the design and management of the ongoing GSLR projects in the Loess Plateau.

Overexpression of auxin/indole-3-acetic acid gene MdIAA24 enhances Glomerella leaf spot resistance in apple(Malus domestica)

Auxin is throughout the entire life process of plants and is involved in the crosstalk with other hormones,yet its role in apple disease resistance remains *** this study,we investigated the function of auxin/indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)gene Md IAA24 overexpression in enhancing apple resistance to Glomerella leaf spot(GLS)caused by Colletotrichum fructicola(Cf).Analysis revealed that,upon Cf infection,35S::Md IAA24 plants exhibited enhanced superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)activity,as well as a greater amount of glutathione(reduced form)and ascorbic acid accumulation,resulting in less H_(2)O_(2)and superoxide anion(O_(2)^(-))in apple ***,35S::Md IAA24 plants produced more protocatechuic acid,proanthocyanidins B1,proanthocyanidins B2 and chlorogenic acid when infected with *** Cf infection,35S::Md IAA24 plants presented lower levels of IAA and jasmonic acid(JA),but higher levels of salicylic acid(SA),along with the expression of related *** overexpression of Md IAA24 was observed to enhance the activity of chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase in Cfinfected *** results indicated the ability of Md IAA24 to regulate the crosstalk between IAA,JA and SA,and to improve reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging and defense-related enzymes *** jointly contributed to GLS resistance in apple.

the as-cast amorphous ti_(48)Zr_(27)Cu_(6)Nb_(5)Be_(14)composites,comprising in situ formedβ-ti ductile crystalline precipitates,were prepared by water cooled copper mold suction ***,the semi-solid composites were obtained after the as-cast composites were treated by semi-solid isothermal *** microstructure evolution and kinetics of the composites were *** show that the microstructures of both the as-cast and semi-solid composites comprise ofβ-ti crystal phases and amorphous matrix *** and after treatment,the crystals evolve from fine granular or fine dendritic crystals to coarse *** the treatment temperature increasing or the time prolonging,the average crystal size gradually increases and the surface morphology of the crystals gradually becomes *** studying the microstructural evolution and dynamics during the isothermal treatment process,it is found that the final morphology ofβ-ti crystals is influenced by the isothermal treatment temperature and time(t),and theβ-ti evolution rate increases with an increase in treatment *** addition,a linear relationship was observed between the size of cubicβ-ti crystals(D^(3))and t;the growth kinetics factor K is 3.8μm^(3)·s^(-1).As the K value closes to 4μm^(3)·s^(-1),it is inferred the morphology evolution ofβ-ti crystals is a coarsening behavior controlled by the diffusion of solute elements.
