Infertility represents a significant health concern,with sperm quantity and quality being crucial determinants of male ***(OAt)is characterized by reduced sperm motility,lower sperm concentration,and morphological abnormalities in sperm heads and *** variants in several genes have been implicated in OAt,its genetic etiologies and pathogenetic mechanisms remain inadequately *** this study,we identified a homozygous nonsense mutation(c.916C>t,***306*)in the coiled-coil domain containing 146(CCDC146)gene in an infertile male patient with *** mutation resulted in the production of a truncated CCDC146 protein(amino acids 1-305),retaining only two out of five coiled-coil *** validate the pathogenicity of the CCDC146 mutation,we generated a mouse model(Ccdc146^(mut/mut))with a similar mutation to that of the ***,the Ccdc146mut/mut mice exhibited infertility,characterized by significantly reduced sperm counts,diminished motility,and multiple defects in sperm heads and ***,the levels of axonemal proteins,including DNAH17,DNAH1,and SPAG6,were significantly reduced in the sperm of Ccdc146^(mut/mut) ***,both human and mouse CCDC146 interacted with intraflagellar transport protein 20(IFt20),but this interaction was lost in the mutated versions,leading to the degradation of *** study identified a novel deleterious homozygous nonsense mutation in CCDC146 that causes male infertility,potentially by disrupting axonemal protein *** findings offer valuable insights for genetic counseling and understanding the mechanisms underlying CCDC146 mutant-associated infertility in human males.

the local structure of the metal single-atom site is closely related to the catalytic activity of metal single-atom catalysts(SACs).However,constructing SACs with homogeneous metal active sites is a challenge due to the surface heterogeneity of the conventional ***,we prepared two Rh1/CeO_(2)SACs(0.5Rh1/r-CeO_(2)and 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2),respectively)using two shaped CeO_(2)(rod and cube)exposing different facets,i.e.,CeO_(2)(111)and CeO_(2)(100).In CO oxidation reaction,the t100 of 0.5Rh1/r-CeO_(2)SACs is 120°C,while the t100 of 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2)SACs is as high as 200°*** in-situ CO diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(CO-DRIFtS),we found that the proximity between OH group and Rh single atom on the plane surface plays an important role in the catalytic activity of Rh1/CeO_(2)SAC system in CO *** Rh single atom trapped at the CeO_(2)(111)crystal surface forms the Rh1(OH)adjacent species,which is not found on the CeO_(2)(100)crystal surface at room ***,during CO oxidation,the OH group far from Rh single atom on the 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2)disappears and forms Rh1(OH)adjacent species when the temperature is above 150°*** formation of Rh1(OH)adjacentCO intermediate in the reaction is pivotal for the excellent catalytic activity,which explains the difference in the catalytic activity of Rh single atoms on two different CeO_(2)*** formed Rh1(OH)adjacent-O-Ce structure exhibits good stability in the reducing atmosphere,maintaining the Rh atomic dispersion after CO oxidation even when pre-reduced at high temperature of 500°*** functional theory(DFt)calculations validate the unique activity and reaction path of the intermediate Rh1(OH)adjacentCO species *** work demonstrates that the proximity between metal single atom and hydroxyl can determine the formation of active intermediates to affect the catalytic performances in catalysis.

Permian ridge subduction-related magmatism in the Chinese Altai: Insights from geochronology and geochemistry of the jiangjunshan pluton

the Chinese Altai is an important constituent of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt， a prominent Phanerozoic accretionary orogenic belt. Oceanic-continental subduction processes during the Cambrian–Carboniferous and intracontinental extension from the triassic onwards have been well constrained in the Chinese Altai， the southwestern portion of the CaoB. Characterizing the petrogenetic evolution of the Chinese Altai during the Permian has， therefore， been considered critical to enhancing our understanding of the tectonic transformations that occurred in this region. Despite this， the tectonic environment of the Chinese Altai during this period remains equivocal. to address this deficiency， this contribution characterizes the age of formation and geochemical composition of the jiangjunshan pluton located in the southern portion of the Chinese Altai. Zircon U-Pb geochronology demonstrates that the gabbro and two-mica alkali feldspar granite， which comprise the main body of the jiangjunshan pluton， formed at ca. 272 ± 3.5 and 272 ± 1.6 Ma， respectively. Geochemically， the gabbro is depleted in light rare earth elements （LREE）， has low Nb/Yb （0.39–0.46） and ti/V （23.7–25.3） ratios， exhibits trace-element characteristics resembling normal mid-ocean ridge basalts （N-MORB）， but is depleted in Nb and ta similar to island arc basalts. the depleted Hf and Nd isotope compositions (εHf（t） = +0.60 to +4.63， εNd（t） = +6.32 to +7.80) of the gabbro， coupled with the weak correlation between εNd（t） values and SiO2contents， suggest that the magma from which it crystallized was slightly contaminated by crustal material during its evolution. Based on the Sm， Yb， and La contents， it is inferred that the melt from which the gabbro crystallized originated from approximately 8–20% partial melting of spinel lherzolite mantle. the depleted Hf and Nd isotope compositions (εHf（t） = +6.81 to +9.10， εNd（t） = +0.79 to +1.45) of the granite， combined with petrographic observations （e.g.， absent of the

the H10 subtype avian influenza virus(AIV)poses an ongoing threat to both birds and ***,fatal human cases of H10N3 and H10N8 infections have drawn public *** 2022,we isolated two H10N3 viruses(A/chicken/Shandong/0101/2022 and A/chicken/Shandong/0603/2022)from diseased chickens in *** analysis revealed that these viruses were genetically associated with human-origin H10N3 virus,with internal genes originating from local H9N2 *** to the H10N8 virus(A/chicken/jiangxi/102/2013),the H10N3 viruses exhibited enhanced thermostability,increased viral release from erythrocytes,and accumulation of hemagglutinin(HA)***,we evaluated the pathogenicity of both H10N3 and H10N8 viruses in *** found that viral titers could be detected in the lungs and nasal turbinates of mice infected with the two H10N3 viruses,whereas H10N8 virus titers were detectable in the lungs and brains of ***,the proportion of double HA Q222R and G228S mutations in H10N3 viruses has increased since ***,the functional roles of the Q222R and G228S double mutations in the HA gene of H10N3 viruses remain unknown and warrant further *** study highlights the potential public health risk posed by the H10N3 virus.A spillover event of AIV to humans could be a foretaste of a looming ***,it is imperative to continuously monitor the evolution of the H10N3 influenza virus to ensure targeted prevention and control measures against influenza outbreaks.

transformation toughening of Al_2O_3/ZrO_2 laminated ceramics with residual compressive stress

With the help of scanning electronic microscopy and X-ray diffraction, the relationships of microstructure characteristics, phase assemblage, and fracture micrograph of Al2O3/ZrO2 laminated ceramics were studied. Compared with monolithic Al2O3/ZrO2 ceramics, the existence of surface compressive stresses greatly restrained the growth of ZrO2 and Al2O3 grains at high sinter temperature, fined the grain size, and increased the content of metastable t-ZrO2, which made the fracture transformation energy quantity 70% higher than that of the monolithic ceramics. the trans-granular and inter-granular fracture features were observed in the surface and center layers, which further verified that transformation toughening is the main mechanism, whereas, micro-crack toughening is helpful for enhancing fracture toughness.

餐厨垃圾氮素含量对巨菌草肥效的影响

以巨菌草为试材,在田间条件下,设置了3种浓度梯度的餐厨垃圾处理(C1 50 t·hm^(-2)、C2 100 t·hm^(-2)、C3 200 t·hm^(-2)),并与未施肥(CK)及施氮肥(N1 100 kg·hm^(-2)、N2 300 kg·hm^(-2))的情况进行比较,研究了不同氮素含量的餐厨垃圾对土壤肥效、微生物多样性以及巨菌草的营养品质和农艺性状的影响,以期为增强农业可持续性提供参考依据。结果表明:随着餐厨垃圾中氮素含量的增加,土壤有机质、全氮、铵态氮、硝态氮、速效钾含量较CK均增加,其中N2处理土壤有机质、全氮、铵态氮较CK显著增加9.55%、84.09%、104.20%(P<0.05),C3处理土壤速效钾较CK显著提高23.84%(P<0.05),同时,施加餐厨垃圾C3的巨菌草株高、茎粗、分蘖数、叶茎比和生物量均显著高于对照71.6%、36.4%、106.5%、90.9%、67.8%(P<0.05),产生的效果与施加氮肥处理相当。此外,与CK相比,各施加处理巨菌草品质均有不同程度改善,粗蛋白含量不同处理在各个时期均与CK具有显著性差异(P<0.05),餐厨垃圾的施加还提高了巨菌草根际的微生物群落丰度。因此,通过利用巨菌草处理餐厨垃圾,不仅可以解决餐厨垃圾带来的环境问题,还可以实现其资源化利用,进而产生显著的环境和经济效益。
