this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

PtRuIn/C electrocatalysts( 20% metal loading by weight) were prepared by sodium borohydride reduction process using H_2PtCl6·6H_2O,RuCl_3·xH_2O and InCl_3·xH_2O as metal sources,borohydride as reducing agent and Carbon Vulcan XC72 as support. the synthetized PtRuIn/C electrocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction( XRD),energy dispersive analysis( EDX),transmission electron microscopy( tEm),cyclic voltammetry( CV),chronoamperommetry( CA) and polarization curves in alkaline and acidic electrolytes( single cell experiments). the XRD patterns showPtpeaks are attributed to the face-centered cubic( fcc) structure,and a shift of Pt( fcc) peaks indicates that Ru or In is incorporated into Ptlattice. tEmmicrographs showmetal nanoparticles with an average nanoparticle size between 2.7 and 3.5 nm. methanol oxidation in acidic and alkaline electrolytes was investigated at room temperature,by CV and CA. PtRu/C( 50 ∶ 50) shows the highest activity among all electrocatalysts in study considering methanol oxidation for acidic and alkaline electrolyte. Polarization curves at 80 ℃ showPtRuIn/C( 50 ∶ 25 ∶ 25)with superior performance for methanol oxidation,when compared to Pt/C,PtIn/C and PtRu/C for both electrolytes. the best performance obtained by PtRuIn/C( 50 ∶ 25 ∶ 25) in real conditions could be associated with the increased kinetics reaction and/or with the occurrence simultaneously of the bifunctional mechanism and electronic effect resulting from the presence of Ptalloy.

InSb epilayers and InSb/Al0.20In0.80Sb quantum wells were grown on Ge(001)substrates and Ge-on-insulator(GeOI)-on-Si(001)substrates by molecular beam *** on both on-axis and 4°-off-axis substrate orientations was ***-phase domains were formed when InSb films were grown on on-axis substrates,but suppressed significantly by the use of 4°-off-axis *** off-axis substrates also reduced the densities of micro-twin defects and threading *** defect reduction resulted in an increase in the room-temperature electron mobility from 37,000 to 59,000 cm2/Vs in 4.0-lm-thick InSb epilayers and from 10,000 to20,000 cm2/Vs in 25-nm-thick InSb quantum wells on Ge(001)and GeOI-on-Si(001)substrates.

Layered double hydroxide(LDH)conversion coatings loaded with corrosion inhibitors were suggested for the surface treatment of the aluminum alloy 2024-t3,prior to friction spot joining with carbon-fiber reinforced polyphenylene sulfide(AA2024-t3/CF-PPS).Vanadate was used as a model corrosion *** shear testing method revealed an increase of approx.20%of the joint’s adhesion performance when treated with LDH and before exposure to salt *** evaluation of the joints after exposure to salt spray demonstrated a significant difference in the corrosion behavior of the joints when the AA2024-t3 is treated with LDH loaded with nitrate and vanadate *** LDH intercalated with nitrate revealed a clear improvement in the mechanical and corrosion resistance performance of the joints,even after 6 weeks of salt ***,the LDH intercalated with vanadate failed in providing protection against corrosion as well as preserving the mechanical properties of the *** effect of the galvanic corrosion was further investigated by zero resistance ammeter(ZRA)measurements as well as localized scanning vibrating electrode technique(SVEt).

Carbon capture and storage will play a crucial role in industrial ***,the current literature presents a large variability in the techno-economic feasibility of CO_(2)capture ***,reliable pathways for carbon capture deployment in energyintensive industries are still *** work provides a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art CO_(2)capture technologies for decarbonisation of the iron and steel,cement,petroleum refining,and pulp and paper *** scrubbing was shown to be the least feasible option,resulting in the average avoided CO_(2)cost of between 62.7∈t_(CO_(2))^(-1)for the pulp and paper and 104.6∈t_(CO_(2))^(-1)for the iron and steel *** average equivalent energy requirement varied between 2.7(iron and steel)and 5.1mJ_(th)·kg_(CO_(2))^(-1)(cement).Retrofits of emerging calcium looping were shown to improve the overall viability of CO_(2)capture for industrial *** looping was shown to result in the average avoided CO_(2)cost of between 32.7(iron and steel)and 42.9(cement).Its average equivalent energy requirement varied between 2.0(iron and steel)and 3.7(pulp and paper).Such performance demonstrated the superiority of calcium looping for industrial *** work should focus on standardising the techno-economic assessment of technologies for industrial decarbonisation.

this work aimed to study and compare the effect of the incorporation of agro-industrial by-products(chestnut shell,grapeseed,and pomegranate peel)into yoghurts to fortify them while assessing their potential to replace synthetic *** each by-product,phenolic extracts were obtained and *** extracts demonstrated antioxidant and antibacterial properties,and the capacity to inhibitα-*** shell extract stood out regarding antioxidant capacity,displaying values of 1128 and 972 mgt_(rolox•gextract)^(-1),for the assays with DPPH and ABtS,*** yoghurts were produced(negative control,positive control with 0.1%of sorbic acid,two for each extract with 0.1%and 0.2%of extract,a mixture of extracts and a mixture of extracts with sorbic acid),and stored at 4℃.the incorporation of the extracts into the yoghurts maintained their physical-chemical properties and microbiological *** samples inhibited the growth of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus *** analysis proved that higher concentrations of extract had similar results to synthetic *** results showed the viability to fortify yoghurts with the incorporation of by-product extracts,developing a value-added ***,revealed the possibility of these extracts replacing synthetic preservatives and antioxidants.

the conditions used for friction stir welding of duplex stainless steels determine the resulting mechanical and corrosion performance of the *** study investigates the corrosion resistance of UNS S32750 and S32760 superduplex stainless steels(SDSSs)joined by friction stir welding,employing cyclic polarization,mott–Schottky,and microscopy techniques for *** microscopy images indicated the presence of a deleterious intermetallic phase after electrolytic etching of S32760,as well as decreased corrosion *** presence of molybdenum in the steels promoted better passive behavior at low *** mott–Schottky curves revealed p-n heterojunction behavior of the passive *** acquired after the polarization test by scanning electron microscopy showed higher passivation propensity with increases of temperature and pH.
