the recent and exciting discovery of germline HOXB13 mutations in familial prostate cancer has brought HOX signaling to the forefront of prostate cancer *** enhanced understanding of HOX signaling,and the co-factors regulating HOX protein specificity and transcriptional regulation,has the high potential to elucidate novel approaches to prevent,diagnose,stage,and treat prostate *** our understanding of HOX biology in prostate development and prostate cancer,basic research in developmental model systems as well as other tumor sites provides a mechanistic framework to inform future studies in prostate *** we describe our current understanding of HOX signaling in genitourinary development and cancer,current clinical data of HOXB13 mutations in multiple cancers including prostate cancer,and the role of HOX protein co-factors in development and *** data highlight numerous gaps in our understanding of HOX function in the prostate,and present numerous potentially impactful mechanistic and clinical opportunities for future investigation.

Coupling nano-emitters to plasmonic antennas is a key milestone for the development of nanoscale quantum light *** challenge,however,is the precise nanoscale positioning of the emitter in the ***,we present a laser etching protocol that deterministically positions a single colloidal CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dot emitter inside a subwavelength plasmonic patch antenna with three-dimensional nanoscale *** exploiting the properties of metal–insulator–metal structures at the nanoscale,the fabricated single-emitter antenna exhibits a very high-Purcell factor(>72)and a brightness enhancement of a factor of *** to the unprecedented quenching of Auger processes and the strong acceleration of the multiexciton emission,more than 4 photons per pulse can be emitted by a single quantum dot,thus increasing the device *** technology can be applied to a wide range of photonic nanostructures and emitters,paving the way for scalable and reliable fabrication of ultracompact light sources.

Objective:to evaluate the antimicrobial capacity of fucoidan from the brown seaweed turbinaria ornata against the marine ornamental fish bacterial ***:Fucoidan was isolated by the ethanol extraction method and the functional groups were identified by Fourier transform Infrared Spectroscopy ***,structural characterization was done by 1H NMR *** vitro antibacterial activity of fucoidan was performed by the agar plate diffusion method and Minimum Inhibitory ***:the characteristic C-0-S bending vibration of sulfate substituent the axial C-4 was observed at 839 cm^(-1).Characterisitic signal of the fucoidan was detected in a different ppm of 1H NMR *** maximum antibacterial activity(16.23±0.11)mm was obtained for Vibrio parahaemolyticus and the minimum activity(5.1±0.24)mm was recorded for Yersinia *** Minimum Inhibitory Concentration value was recorded between 2.5 to 10 mg/mL to the respective ***:the present study proved that fucoidan possessed the significant antibacterial activity against the tested fish bacterial *** could be further used as a natural antibiotic in an aquaculture system to control the bacterial ***,the present study suggested that the further in vivo study is required to get the better understanding of the mode of action of fucoidan.

this study investigated the systematics of the megophryid genus Scutiger from eastern and western Nepal using molecular and morphological data. Our results support two divergent lineages, one of which has nuptial spines on the dorsal surface of the first three fingers while the other has spines only on the dorsal surface of the first two fingers. the Ghunsa lineage from eastern Nepal shows significant morphological and molecular differences to other species of genus Scutiger and is here described as a new species. Based on the molecular analysis, the Muktinath lineage from western Nepal is confirmed to be Scutiger boulengeri and represents a species complex widespread throughout the Himalayan region. the newly described taxon is endemic to the eastern Himalayas and currently known only from the Ghunsa valley, taplejung district, Nepal.

In this stud high-performance multilayer WSe2 field-effect transistor （FEt） devices with carrier type control are demonstrated via thickness modulation and a remote oxygen plasma surface treatment. Carrier type control in multilayer WSe2 FEt devices with Cr/Au contacts is initially demonstrated by modulating the WSe2 thickness. the carrier type evolves with increasing WSe2 channel thickness, being p-type, ambipolar, and n-type at thicknesses 〈 3, - 4, and 〉 5 nm, respectively. the thickness-dependent carrier type is attributed to changes in the bandgap of WSe2 as a function of the thickness and the carrier band offsets relative to the metal contacts. Furthermore, we present a strong hole carrier doping effect via remote oxygen plasma treatment. It non-degenerately converts n-type characteristics into p-type and enhances field-effect hole mobility by three orders of magnitude. this work demonstrates progress towards the realization of high-performance multilayer WSe2 FEts with carrier type control, potentially extendable to other transition metal dichalcogenides, for future electronic and oDtoelectronic alpplications.

城市树木是城市地区的宝贵资源,因为它们具有降低环境温度、缓解城市热岛效应和减少雨水径流的能力,在通过吸收大气二氧化碳(CO_(2))进而减轻气候变化影响方面发挥着重要作用。同时,它也有助于减少空气悬浮颗粒物,增加城市景观的视觉吸引力。本文对加德满都谷地环城公路地区城市树木的碳储量进行了量化,以评估城市树木在缓解全球气候变化影响方面的规模和作用。本研究随机对40个样地进行了详细的碳评估。详细评估中考虑到了地上和地下碳库。此外,在收集生物物理数据时,通过现场工作人员的定期监测,对数据的质量进行了控制。评估记录了环城公路树木中共33种不同的树种,幼苗、树苗和树木的平均密度分别为每公顷2149、585和194棵。2021年,环路区树木平均碳储量为24.03 t C ha^(-1),总碳储量为7785.72 t C。环路区树木总标准二氧化碳当量(t CO_(2)e)为28573.60 t CO_(2)e。在全移动情景模式下,交通产生的二氧化碳排放量为年312888 t CO_(2)e,净排放量为42547 t CO_(2)e。环路区树木的二氧化碳储量不足14000.8 t CO_(2)e。这项研究表明,现有的城市树木种植无法封存或抵消交通排放的二氧化碳。因此,如河岸等公共区域可以为绿色基础设施建设和多用途树木种植所使用。为了应对全球气候变化的不利影响,城市地区及其周围树木的独特价值必须在可持续管理城市和城郊树木的具体政策和计划中得到重视。这项研究为决策者提供了建议,以更好地了解城市树木的作用,并为加德满都等山谷城市的城市树木种植制定可持续管理计划提供帮助。

the heat transfer performance of the phase change materials used in free cooling and air conditioning applications is low,due to the poor thermal conductivity of the *** recent phenomenal advancement in nano technology provides an opportunity for an appreciable enhancement in the thermal conductivity of the phase change *** order to explore the possibilities of using nano technology for various applications,a detailed parametric study is carried out,to analyse the heat transfer enhancement potential with the thermal conductivity of the conventional phase change materials and nano enhanced phase change materials under various flow conditions of the heat transfer ***,the theoretical equation,used to determine the time for outward cylindrical solidification of the phase change material,is validated with the experimental *** is inferred from the parametric studies,that for paraffinic phase change materials with air as the heat transfer fluid,the first step should be to increase the heat transfer coefficient to the maximum extent,before making any attempt to increase the thermal conductivity of the phase change materials,with the addition of nano *** water is used as the phase change material,the addition of nano particles is recommended to achieve better heat transfer,when a liquid is used as the heat transfer fluid.

the applications of intelligent techniques have increased exponentially in recent days to study most of the non-linear parameters. In particular, the behavior of earth resembles the non- linearity applications. An efficient tool is needed for the interpretation of geophysical parameters to study the subsurface of the earth. Artificial Neural Networks （ANN） perform certain tasks if the structure of the network is modified accordingly for the purpose it has been used. the three most robust networks were taken and comparatively analyzed for their performance to choose the appropriate network. the single- layer feed-forward neural network with the back propagation algorithm is chosen as one of the well- suited networks after comparing the results. Initially, certain synthetic data sets of all three-layer curves have been taken tk^r training the network, and the network is validated by the field datasets collected from tuticorin Coastal Region （78°7＇30＂E and 8°48＇45＂N）, tamil Nadu, India. the interpretation has been done successfully using the corresponding learning algorithm in the present study. With proper training of back propagation networks, it tends to give the resistivity and thickness of the subsurface layer model of the field resistivity data concerning the synthetic data trained earlier in the appropriate network. the network is trained with more Vertical Electrical Sounding （VES） data, and this trained network is demon- strated by the field data. Groundwater table depth also has been modeled.

In the present study,the newly established preformation formula is applied for the first time to study the kinematics of the cluster emission from various radioactive nuclei,especially those that decay to the double shell closure^(208)Pb nucleus and its neighbors as *** recently proposed universal cluster preformation formula has been established based on the concepts that underscore the influence of mass and charge asymmetry(η_(A)andη_(Z)),cluster mass A_(c),and the Q-value,paving the way to quantify the energy contribution during preformation as well as during the tunneling process *** cluster-daughter interaction potential is obtained by folding the relativistic mean-field(RMF)densities with the recently developed microscopic R3Y using the NL 3^(*)and the phenomenological M3Y NN potentials to compare their *** penetration probabilities are calculated from the WKB *** the inclusion of the new preformation probability P_(0),the predicted half-lives of the R3Y and M3Y interactions are in good agreement with the experimental ***,a careful inspection reflects slight differences in the decay half-lives,which arise from their respective barrier *** P_(0)for systems with double magic shell closure^(208)Pb daughter are found to be an order of≈10^(2)higher than those with neighboring Pb daughter *** exploring the contributions of the decay energy,the recoil effect of the daughter nucleus is evaluated,in contrast to several other ***,the centrality of the Q-value in the decay process is demonstrated and redefined within the preformed cluster-decay ***,we have introduced a simple and intuitive set of criteria that governs the estimation of recoil energy in the cluster radioactivity.

Objective:to evaluate the efficacy of Atalantia monophylla(***)leaf in different solvent crude extracts and fractions against eggs of Spodoptera litura(***).Methods:Hexane,ethyl acetate and chloroform solvent extracts of *** leaf and 12 fractions from hexane extract were screened at 5.0%t,2.5%,1.0%and 0.5%for crude extracts and 1000,500,250 and 125 mg/kg for fractions against the eggs of *** for the ovicidal ***_(50)and LC_(90)were calculated using probit ***:Hexane crude extract showed maximum ovicidal activity of 61.94%at 5.0%concentration with a correlation value of r^2=0.81,and least LC_(50)value of3.06%.Hexane extract was fractionated using silica gel column chromatography and 12 fractions were *** 9 was active which showed maximum ovicidal activity of 75.61%at 1000mg/kg with the LC_(50)value of 318.65 mg/kg and LC_(90)value of 1473.31 mg/*** linear regression analysis,significant and high correlation(r^2=0.81%)was seen between concentration and ovicidal activity of hexane crude extracts and its active ***:As per our knowledge,this is the first report for ovicidal activity of *** against ***,*** could be used for the management of *** and other insect pests.
