this paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. the strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. the curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. the accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

Fruits are defined as mature ovaries originated from a coordinated development between ovules(precursors of seeds)and carpels(precursors of the fruit body).Disconnecting the ovule development from carpel development is a long-desired goal in agriculture to generate seedless fruits easier to ***,pollination and fertilization are required to promote hormone pathways-i.e.,auxin and gibberellin-that are crucial for seed and fruit set(Gillaspy et al.,1993;raghavan,2003).Even though developing seeds are central for normal fruit development,examples of seedless or parthenocarpic fruits are present in wild and cultivated species(Joldersma and Liu,2017).

In engineering practice,it is often necessary to determine functional relationships between dependent and independent *** relationships can be highly nonlinear,and classical regression approaches cannot always provide sufficiently reliable ***,Machine Learning(ML)techniques,which offer advanced regression tools to address complicated engineering issues,have been developed and widely *** study investigates the selected ML techniques to evaluate their suitability for application in the hot deformation behavior of metallic *** ML-based regression methods of Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Decision tree regression(Dtr),and Gaussian Process regression(GPr)are applied to mathematically describe hot flow stress curve datasets acquired experimentally for a medium-carbon *** the GPr method has not been used for such a regression task before,the results showed that its performance is the most favorable and practically unrivaled;neither the ANN method nor the other studied ML techniques provide such precise results of the solved regression analysis.

Bio-inspired helicoidal composite laminates, inspired by the intricate helical structures found in nature, present a promising frontier for enhancing the mechanical properties of structural designs. Hence, this study provides a comprehensive investigation into the nonlinear free vibration and nonlinear bending behavior of bio-inspired composite plates. the inverse hyperbolic shear deformation theory(IHSDt) of plates is employed to characterize the displacement field, with the incorporation of Green-Lagrange nonlinearity. the problem is modeled using the C0finite element method(FEM), and an in-house code is developed in the MAtLAB environment to solve it numerically. Various helicoidal layup configurations including helicoidal recursive(Hr), helicoidal exponential(HE), helicoidal semi-circular(HS), linear helicoidal(LH), and Fibonacci helicoidal(FH)with different layup sequences and quasi-isotropic configurations are studied. the model is validated, and parametric studies are conducted. these studies investigate the effects of layup configurations, side-to-thickness ratio, modulus ratios, boundary conditions, and loading conditions at different load amplitudes on the nonlinear vibration and nonlinear bending behaviors of bio-inspired composite plates. the results show that the laminate sequence exerts a substantial impact on both nonlinear natural frequencies and nonlinear bending behaviors. Moreover, this influence varies across different side-to-thickness ratios and boundary conditions of the bio-inspired composite plate.

the high costs incurred due to attacks and the increasing number of different devices in the Internet of things(Iot)highlight the necessity of the early detection of botnets(i.e.,a network of infected devices)to gain an advantage against ***,early botnet detection is challenging because of continuous malware mutations,the adoption of sophisticated obfuscation techniques,and the massive volume of *** literature addresses botnet detection by modeling the behavior of malware spread,the classification of malicious traffic,and the analysis of traffic *** article details ANtE,a system for ANticipating botnEt signals based on machine learning *** system adapts itself to different scenarios and detects different types of *** autonomously selects the most appropriate Machine Learning(ML)pipeline for each botnet and improves the classification before an attack effectively *** system evaluation follows trace-driven experiments and compares ANtE results to other relevant results from the literature over four representative datasets:ISOt HttP Botnet,CtU-13,CICDDoS2019,and *** show an average detection accuracy of 99.06%and an average bot detection precision of 100%.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is highly prevalent in patients with diabetes mellitus and increasing evidence suggests that patients with type 2diabetes are at a particularly high risk for developing the progressive forms of NAFLD,non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and associated advanced liver ***,diabetes is an independent risk factor for NAFLD progression,and for hepatocellular carcinoma development and liver-related mortality in prospective ***,patients with NAFLD have an elevated prevalence of *** studies have shown that NAFLD presence predicts the development of type2 *** and NAFLD have mutual pathogenetic mechanisms and it is possible that genetic and environmental factors interact with metabolic derangements to accelerate NAFLD progression in diabetic *** diagnosis of the more advanced stages of NAFLD in diabetic patients shares the same challenges as in non-diabetic patients and it includes imaging and serological methods,although histopathological evaluation is still considered the gold standard diagnostic *** effective established treatment is not yet available for patients with steatohepatitis and fibrosis and randomized clinical trials including only diabetic patients are *** sought to outline the published data including epidemiology,pathogenesis,diagnosis and treatment of NAFLD in diabetic patients,in order to better understand the interplay between these two prevalent diseases and identify the gaps that still need to be fulfilled in the management of NAFLD in patients with diabetes mellitus.
