Given t.e limit.d availabilit. of resources in nat.re, sexual at.ract.veness may t.ade off wit. immunocompet.nce, as t.e immunocompet.nce handicap hypot.esis (ICHH) posit.. In invert.brat.s, a direct.link.bet.een t.ade-offs t.rough hormonal/molecular effect.rs in sexual signals and immunit. has not.been found so far. Here, we assessed how variat.on in sexual signals affect.d parasit. infect.on in t.o sex pheromone select.d lines of t.e mot. Chloridea virescens: an at.ract.ve line wit. a low rat.o of 16:Ald/Z11-16:Ald and an unat.ract.ve line wit. a high rat.o. When infect.ng t.ese lines wit. an apicomplexan parasit., we found t.at.t.e at.ract.ve Low line was significant.y more suscept.ble t. t.e parasit. infect.on t.an t.e unat.ract.ve High line. Since t.e rat.o difference bet.een t.ese t.o lines is det.rmined by a delt.-11-dest.rase, we hypot.esized t.at.t.is desat.rase may have a dual role, i.e., in t.e qualit. of t.e sexual signal as well as an involvement.in immune response, comparable t. t.st.st.rone in vert.brat.s. However, when we used CRISPR/cas9 t. k.ock.ut.delt.-11-dest.rase in t.e at.ract.ve Low line, we found t.at.t.e pheromonal phenot.pe did change t. t.at.of t.e High line, but.t.e infect.on suscept.bilit. did not. Not.bly, when check.ng t.e genomic locat.on of delt.-11-desat.rase in t.e C. virescens, we found t.at.mucin is adjacent.t. delt.-11-desat.rase. When comparing t.e mucin sequences in bot. lines, we found four nonsynonymous SNPs in t.e coding sequence, as well as int.onic variat.on bet.een t.e t.o lines. t.ese differences suggest.t.at.genet.c hit.hhik.ng may explain t.e variat.on in suscept.bilit. t. parasit.c infect.on.

Mini cent.ifugal pumps having a diamet.r smaller t.an lOOmm are employed in many fields. Split.er blades were adopt.d in t.is re- search t. improve t.e performance and t.e int.rnal flow condit.on of mini cent.ifugal pump which had large blade out.et.angle. t.e original impeller wit.out.t.e split.er blades and t.e impeller wit. t.e split.er blades were prepared for experiment. t.e performance t.st. are conduct.d wit. t.ese rot.rs in order t. invest.gat. t.e effect.of t.e split.er blades on performance and int.rnal flow condit.on of mini cent.ifugal pump. Numerical solut.ons of t.e coupled ODEs are obt.ined by a finit. difference scheme k.own as t.e k.ller-box met.od. Bi-2223 grains has t.e heredit. in grain alignment. t.e mixed st.uct.res of t.e Bi-2223 and t.e Bi-2212 grains wit. t.eir c-axis parallel t. t.e magnet.c field are formed in samples sint.red at.850?855 ℃ in 10 t.magnet.c field. When sint.red in 10 t.below 845 ℃, a high proport.on of Bi-2223 phase is obt.ined, however no preferred orient.t.on is observed. t.e Bi-2223 grains wit. t.eir c-axis parallel t. t.e axial direct.on of t.e vert.cal t.be furnace are formed not.only on t.e surface, but.also in t.e cent.r of t.e sample sint.red at.850 ℃ for 120 h in a 15 ℃/cm t.mperat.re gradient.wit.out.magnet.c field. Moreover, t.e samples sint.red in t.e t.mperat.re gradient.and in a 10 t.magnet.c field have a st.onger c-axis alignment.of Bi-2223 phase.

Usually t.e bending st.ffness of t.e flexible riser made of Coflexip pipe is very low. By use of t.e above analysis, several flexible riser configurat.ons are analyzed and t.eir charact.rist.c behaviors are invest.gat.d. Also, changes in t.e riser charact.rist.cs due t. quasi-st.t.c mot.on of t.e float.r end are est.mat.d for t.e safet. of t.e riser layout.
