A basic 7-level MLI topology is developed and the same is extended to the 9-level then further increased to *** developed structure minimizes the component’s count and size to draw out the system *** the various advantages of MLIs,efficiency and reliability play a major role since the usage of components is higher for getting a low Total Harmonics Distortion(THD)*** becomes a major challenge incorporated in boosting the efficiency without affecting the THD *** parametric observations are done and realized for the designed 9-level and 17-level MLI,being the Total Standing Voltage(TSV),efficiency,cost function per level count,and power *** respective parameters are compared with several existing and modern circuits and found to be effective in their performance.A novel single-phase 17-level asymmetrical Multi-Level Inverter(MLI)topology is developed to reduce the number of overall *** developed topology generates 17-levels by using unequal DC *** developed MLI is proved under various tests con-ducted experimentally for the various loads like resistive,inductive,and combinational loads.A detailed comparison is done on several factors and represented graphically ***,the proposed design provides a less TSV value is 6 V_(dc),efficiency is 94.21%and cost factor per level CF/L value for both values ofαis 2.01 and 2.05 and devices count with a low THD value 41.4%with respectively.

The thermal diffusivity and heat capacity of β-SiAION ceramics with different Z values （0.6, 1.5, 3.0） were measured by laser flash technique and differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）, respectively. The thermal conductivity of β-SiAION was calculated from thermal diffusivity, heat capacity and density and it decreased and then kept almost constant with increasing of temperature. Two different models representing effective thermal conductivity were established and the various parameters of these models were simulated based on the results from the present work. The fitted regression lines were in good agreement with the experimental values.

Recovering the iron(Fe)and phosphorus(P)contained in steelmaking slags not only reduces the environmental burden caused by the accumulated slag,but also is the way to develop a circular economy and achieve sustainable development in the steel *** had pre-viously found the possibility of recovering Fe and P resources,i.e.,magnetite(Fe_(3)O_(4)) and calcium phosphate(Ca_(10)P_(6)O_(25)),contained in steel-making slags by adjusting oxygen partial pressure and adding modifier B_(2)O_(3).As a fundamental study for efficiently recovering Fe and P from steelmaking slag,in this study,the crystallization behavior of the CaO-SiO_(2)-FeO-P_(2)O_(5)-B_(2)O_(3) melt has been observed in situ,using a confocal scanning laser microscope(CLSM).The kinetics of nucleation and growth of Fe-and P-rich phases have been calculated using a classical crys-tallization kinetic *** cooling,a Fe_(3)O_(4) phase with faceted morphology was observed as the 1st precipitated phase in the isothermal interval of 1300-1150℃,while Ca_(10)P_(6)O_(25),with rod-shaped morphology,was found to be the 2nd phase to precipitate in the interval of 1150-1000℃.The crystallization abilities of Fe_(3)O_(4) and Ca_(10)P_(6)O_(25) phases in the CaO-SiO_(2)-FeO-P_(2)O_(5)-B_(2)O_(3) melt were quantified with the in-dex of(T_(U)−T_(I))/T_(I)(where T_(I) represents the peak temperature of the nucleation rate and TU stands for that of growth rate),and the crystalliza-tion ability of Fe_(3)O_(4) was found to be larger than that of Ca_(10)P_(6)O_(25) *** range of crystallization temperature for Fe_(3)O_(4) and Ca_(10)P_(6)O_(25) phases was optimized *** Fe_(3)O_(4) and Ca_(10)P_(6)O_(25) phases are the potential sources for ferrous feedstock and phosphate fertilizer,respectively.

Semiconductor heterostructures based on layered two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)interfaced to gallium nitride(Ga N)are excellent material systems to realize broadband light absorbers and emitters due to their close proximity in the lattice *** surface properties of a polar semiconductor such as Ga N are dominated by interface phonons,and thus the optical properties of the vertical heterostructure are influenced by the coupling of these carriers with *** activation of different Raman modes in the heterostructure caused by the coupling between interfacial phonons and optically generated carriers in a monolayer MoS_2–Ga N(0001)heterostructure is *** excitonic states in MoS_2 are close to the interband energy state of intraband defect state of Ga *** functional theory(DFT)calculations are performed to determine the band alignment of the interface and revealed a type-I *** close proximity of the energy levels and the excitonic states in the semiconductors and the coupling of the electronic states with phonons result in the modification of carrier relaxation *** of the excitonic absorption states in MoS_2 is measured by transient optical pump-probe spectroscopy and the change in emission properties of both semiconductors is measured by steady-state photoluminescence(PL)emission *** is significant red-shift of the C excitonic band and faster dephasing of carriers in MoS_***,optical excitation at energy higher than the bandgap of both semiconductors slows down the dephasing of carriers and energy exchange at the *** and blue-shifted PL emission is observed in MoS_*** N band-edge emission is reduced in intensity at room temperature due to increased phonon-induced scattering of carriers in the Ga N *** results demonstrate the relevance of interface coupling between the semiconductors for the development of optical and electronic applications.

Aluminium alloy（AA） 2024 is an important engineering material due to its widespread use in the aerospace industry. However, it is very prone to corrosion attack in chloride containing media. In the present investigation, AA2024 aluminium alloy rolled plates of 5 mm in thickness were friction stir welded. Corrosion performances of the specimens were evaluated by conducting salt fog tests in Na Cl solution at different p H values, chloride ion concentrations and spraying time. In addition, an empirical relationship was established to predict the corrosion rate of friction stir welds of AA2024 aluminium alloy. A central composite rotatable design including three factors and five levels was used to minimize the number of experiments. Response surface methodology（RSM） was used to develop the relationship. The corrosion rate decreased under neutral p H conditions. The corrosion rate increased in acidic and basic conditions. It was also found that the corrosion rate decreased with the increase of spraying time, but the corrosion tended to be uniform with the increment of time and with the increase in the chloride ion concentration, and the corrosion rate increased in the salt spray corrosion test.
