Every 24 seconds,someone dies on the road due to road accidents and it is the 8th leading cause of death and the first among children aged 15–29 years.1.35 million people globally die every year due to road traffic *** additional 20–50 million suffer from non-fatal injuries,often resulting in longterm *** costs around 3%of Gross Domestic Product to most countries,and it is a considerable economic *** governments have taken various measures such as better road infrastructures and strict enforcement of motor-vehicle laws to reduce these ***,there is still no remarkable reduction in the number of *** ensure driver safety and achieve vision of zero accidents,there is a great need to monitor drivers’driving *** of the existing driving behavior monitoring solutions are based on expensive hardware *** most people are using smartphones in the modern era,a system based on mobile application is proposed,which can reduce the cost for developing intelligent transport systems(ITS)to a large *** this paper,we utilize the accelerometer sensor data and the global positioning system(GPS)sensor deployed in smartphones to recognize driving and speeding events.A driving style recognition system based on fuzzy logic is designed to classify different driving styles and control reckless driving by taking the longitudinal/lateral acceleration and speed as input ***,the proposed system uses fuzzy logic rather than taking the crisp values of the *** indicate that the proposed system can classify reckless driving based on fuzzy logic and,therefore,reduce the number of accidents.

Fusion of Region Extraction and Cross-Entropy SVM Models for Wheat Rust Diseases Classification

Wheat rust diseases are one of the major types of fungal diseases that cause substantial yield quality losses of 15%–20%every *** wheat rust diseases are identified either through experienced evaluators or computerassisted *** experienced evaluators take time to identify the disease which is highly laborious and too *** wheat rust diseases are predicted at the development stages,then fungicides are sprayed earlier which helps to increase wheat yield *** solve the experienced evaluator issues,a combined region extraction and cross-entropy support vector machine(CE-SVM)model is proposed for wheat rust disease *** the proposed system,a total of 2300 secondary source images were augmented through flipping,cropping,and rotation *** augmented images are preprocessed by histogram *** a result,preprocessed images have been applied to region extraction convolutional neural networks(RCNN);Fast-RCNN,Faster-RCNN,and Mask-RCNN models for wheat plant patch *** layers of region extraction models construct a feature vector that is later passed to the CE-SVM *** a result,the Gaussian kernel function in CE-SVM achieves high F1-score(88.43%)and accuracy(93.60%)for wheat stripe rust disease classification.

Intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH) remains the second-most common form of stroke with high morbidity and *** can be divided into two pathophysiological stages:an acute primary phase,including hematoma volume expansion,and a subacute secondary phase consisting of blood-brain barrier disruption and perihematomal edema *** date,all major trials for ICH have targeted the primary phase with therapies designed to reduce hematoma expansion through blood pressure control,surgical evacuation,and ***,none of these trials has resulted in improved clinical *** is a ubiquitous element that also plays roles in vasodilation,hemostasis,and blood-brain barrier *** models have highlighted potential therapeutic roles for magnesium in neurological diseases specifically targeting these pathophysiological *** studies have also demonstrated inverse associations between admission magnesium levels and hematoma volume,hematoma expansion,and clinical outcome in patients with *** associations,coupled with the multifactorial role of magnesium that targets both primary and secondary phases of ICH,suggest that magnesium may be a viable target of study in future ICH studies.

A Characterization of MRA Based Wavelet Frames Generated by the Walsh Polynomials

Extension Principles play a significant role in the construction of MRA based wavelet frames and have attracted much attention for their potential applications in various scientific fields. A novel and simple procedure for the construction of tight wavelet frames generated by the Walsh polynomials using Extension Principles was recently considered by Shah in [Tight wavelet frames generated by the Walsh poly- nomials, Int. J. Wavelets, Multiresolut. Inf. Process., 11（6）（2013）, 1350042]. In this paper, we establish a complete characterization of tight wavelet frames generated by the Walsh polynomials in terms of the polyphase matrices formed by the polyphase components of the Walsh polynomials.

Predictors of Mortality at 28-days in Infection associated Acute Kidney Injury in Cirrhosis

Connecting muon anomalous magnetic moment and multi-lepton anomalies at LHC

In a previous paper by several of the authors a number of predictions were made in a study pertaining to the anomalous production of multiple leptons at the Large Hadron Collider(LHC). Discrepancies in multi-lepton final states have become statistically compelling with the available Run 2 data. These could be connected with a heavy boson, H, which predominantly decays into a standard model Higgs boson, h, and a singlet scalar, S, where mH≈270 GeV and mS≈150 GeV. These can then be embedded into a scenario where a two-Higgs-doublet is considered with an additional singlet scalar, 2HDM+S. The long-standing discrepancy in the muon anomalous magnetic moment,△aμ, is interpreted in the context of the 2HDM+S type-II and type-X, along with additional fermionic degrees of freedom. The 2 HDM+S model alone, with constraints from the LHC data, does not seem to explain the △aμ ***, adding fermions with mass of order O(100) GeV can explain the discrepancy for sufficiently low values of fermion-scalar couplings.
