Speech plays an extremely important role in social *** individuals suffer from a“speech barrier,”which limits their communication with *** this study,an improved speech recognitionmethod is proposed that addresses the needs of speech-impaired and deaf individuals.A basic improved connectionist temporal classification convolutional neural network(CTC-CNN)architecture acoustic model was constructed by combining a speech database with a deep neural *** sensors were used to convert the collected voice signals into text or corresponding voice signals to improve *** method can be extended to modern artificial intelligence techniques,with multiple applications such as meeting minutes,medical reports,and verbatim records for cars,sales,*** experiments,a modified CTC-CNN was used to train an acoustic model,which showed better performance than the earlier common *** a CTC-CNN baseline acoustic model was constructed and optimized,which reduced the error rate to about 18%and improved the accuracy rate.

With technological and social development in recent decades,people have begun pursuing more comfortable lives that frequently feature household pets that are treated like members of the *** average,one out of every three households has a *** has also led to the creation and growth of many businesses in the pet industry.A few companies have developed a system that allows busy office workers to remotely care for pets at home based on the Internet of Things and an intelligent adjustment *** owners of two dogs,the authors of this study observed their pets’living habits and recorded environmental conditions that appear suitable for *** data were then used to develop an automatic control system to care for *** observational data on the pets’habits and environment were written in a program in Arduino by using the ESP8266 Wi-Fi *** module and booster module control is the switch and setting of various household *** to the loop setting of the program,the system does not need to manually switch or adjust the electrical settings of the ***,the pet's living environment is assessed by using various *** use of Arduino programs helps develop a system that can automatically adjust the environment to one that is most suitable for the pet's comfort.

A 10 m long,0.2 m wide flume was employed to simulate the channel bed evolution of check-dam *** experiment longitudinal profiles,the gradient of channel bed,head-cutting propagation distance and deposition length were compared with the theoretical solution derived from a sediment transport diffusion *** contrast with the theoretical solution,two different gradients were obtained upstream and downstream of the *** theoretical solution provides a good description of the changes upstream of the check-dam. The ratio of clear water depth to sediment moving layer thickness in the experiment was analyzed and showed that high concentration sediment laden flow was taken in the incipient of check-dam failure,which may be the reason why the experiment result was slightly different from the theoretical solution in the downstream of check-dam.

BACKGROUND Aseptic meningitis is defined as meningeal inflammation caused by various etio-logies with negative cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)bacterial *** most common etiologies are viruses[enteroviruses,arboviruses,and herpes simplex virus type 2(HSV-2)].Aseptic meningitis can have various presentations,including sensori-neural *** sensorineural deafness from mumps meningoencephalitis has been reported,cases of HSV-2-induced hearing loss are ***,we re-port a case of HSV-2-induced meningitis that presented with sudden *** SUMMARY A 68-year-old man experienced a profound sudden onset of left-sided hearing loss for one ***-tone audiograms demonstrated sudden left-sided sensorineural hearing loss(thresholds 80-90 dB).After treatment with high-dose steroids for 1 week,he experienced an acute consciousness change with left *** laboratory data showed no significant *** computed tomography without contrast and magnetic resonance imaging revealed no intracranial hemo-rrhage or obvious brain *** CSF analysis and the Multiplex PCR panels showed HSV-2 ***,under the diagnosis of herpes meningoenceph-alitis,acyclovir was prescribed and his symptoms gradually *** This case report further demonstrates that a viral infection could be a cause of sudden sensorineural hearing loss.

The 2.5D finite/infinite element approach is adopted to study wave propagation problems caused by underground moving trains. The irregularities of the near field, including the tunnel structure and parts of the soil, are modeled by the finite elements, and the wave propagation properties of the far field extending to infinity are modeled by the infinite elements. One particular feature of the 2.5D approach is that it enables the computation of the three-dimensional response of the half-space, taking into account the load-moving effect, using only a two-dimensional profile. Although the 2.5D finite/infinite element approach shows a great advantage in studying the wave propagation caused by moving trains, attention should be given to the calculation aspects, such as the rules for mesh establishment, in order to avoid producing inaccurate or erroneous results. In this paper, some essential points for consideration in analysis are highlighted, along with techniques to enhance the speed of the calculations. All these observations should prove useful in making the 2.5D finite/infinite element approach an effective one.

In this paper we establish the convergence of the Vlasov-Poisson-Boltzmann system to the incompressible Euler equations in the so-called quasi-neutral regime. The convergence is rigorously proved for time intervals on which the smooth solution of the Euler equations of the incompressible fluid exists. The proof relies on the relative-entropy method.

A dual-sided multiple fans system with a piezoelectric actuator （＂D-MFPA＂）, which is able to drive eight passive vibrating fans and provide two-directional air flows by using only one piezoelectric actuator, has been investigated in this study. Moreover, two types of the fan designs, viz. magnetic fan （MF） and composite magnetic fan （CMF） were also explored. In the investigation of the MF, the results indicated that the resonance frequency of the D-MFPA increased from 27.6 Hz to 66 Hz as the length of the carbon fiber plate （L） decreased from 55 mm to 35 mm. It also decreased the amplitude of the D-MFPA from 12.4mm to 4.8 mm. For CMF, the results showed that the resonance frequency decreased when the length of the Mylar plate （Et） increased, and the maximum decrease was from 66 Hz to 45 Hz when L= 35 mm and Er= 30 mm. Dimensionless heat convection number （MD_MFPA） was defined to describe and quantify the improvement in the thermal performance. The results showed that the optimal MO-MFPA of the single piezoelectric fan was 1,58 for cooling one heat source. By contrast, under the same power consumption, the D-MFPA not only cooled two heat sources but also displayed better thermal performance.

In this article, the use of a high-order Boussinesq-type model and sets of laboratory experiments in a large scale flume of breaking solitary waves climbing up slopes with two inclinations are presented to study the shoreline behavior of breaking and non-breaking solitary waves on plane slopes. The scale effect on run-up height is briefly discussed. The model simulation capability is well validated against the available laboratory data and present experiments. Then, serial numerical tests are conducted to study the shoreline motion correlated with the effects of beach slope and wave nonlinearity for breaking and non-breaking waves. The empirical formula proposed by hsiao et al. for predicting the maximum run-up height of a breaking solitary wave on plane slopes with a wide range of slope inclinations is confirmed to be cautious. Furthermore, solitary waves impacting and overtopping an impermeable sloping seawall at various water depths are investigated. Laboratory data of run-up height, shoreline motion, free surface elevation and overtopping discharge are presented. Comparisons of run-up, run-down, shoreline trajectory and wave overtopping discharge are made. A fairly good agreement is seen between numerical results and experimental data. It elucidates that the present depth-integrated model can be used as an efficient tool for predicting a wide spectrum of coastal problems.

Effectiveness and safety of traditional Chinese medical therapy for cancer-related fatigue: a systematic review and Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

OBJECTIVE:To assess the effectiveness and safety of traditional Chinese medical therapy for cancer-related ***:We systematically searched eight electronic databases up to June 2017 for randomized clinical trials of traditional Chinese medical therapy for cancer-related *** authors independently extracted data and assessed the risk bias of the included trials using the Cochrane *** were analyzed by Rev Man 5.2 ***:A total of 23 trials involving 1832 participants identified with cancer-related fatigue were *** trials reported a beneficial effect of traditional Chinese medical therapy on cancer-related *** pooling the data from Chinese herbal medicine therapy and acupuncture or moxibustion therapy,respectively,significant differences were found between experimental groups and control *** improvement rates showed significant differences between traditional Chinese medical therapy and control groups[odds ratio(OR),7.62;95%confidence interval(CI),3.75-15.49;P<0.00001;and OR,3.78;95%CI,2.29-6.23;P<0.00001).Fatigue change scores also showed significant differences between the two groups(mean difference,-0.91;95%CI,-1.16 to-0.65;P<0.00001).Eleven trials demonstrated that traditional Chinese medical therapy improved the quality of life of cancer *** severe adverse effects occurred in traditional Chinese medical therapy ***:Meta-analysis showed that Chinese medical therapy seems to be effective and safe in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue.
