Nanostructured metal phosphides are very attractive materials in energy storage and conversion,but their applications are severely limited by complicated preparation steps,harsh conditions and large excess of highly toxic phosphorus *** we develop a highly efficient one-step method to synthesize Sn_(4)P_(3)nanostructure based on simultaneous reduction of SnCl_(4)and PCl_(3)on mechanically activated Na surface and in situ *** low-toxic PCl3 displays a very high phosphorizing efficiency(100%).Furthermore,this simple method is powerful to control phosphide *** Sn_(4)P_(3)nanocrystals(<5 nm)supported on carbon sheets(Sn_(4)P_(3)/C)are obtained,which is due to the unique bottom-up surface-limited *** the anode material for sodium/lithium ion batteries(SIBs/LIBs),the Sn_(4)P_(3)/C shows profound sodiation/lithiation extents,good phase-conversion reversibility,excellent rate performance and long cycling stability,retaining high capacities of 420 mAh/g for SIBs and 760 mAh/g for LIBs even after 400 cycles at 1.0 A/*** simple and efficient preparation,low-toxic and high-efficiency phosphorus source and good control of nanosize,this method is very promising for low-cost and scalable preparation of high-performance Sn_(4)P_(3)anode.

Specific medical data has limitations in that there are not many numbers and it is not *** solve these limitations,it is necessary to study how to efficiently process these limited amounts of *** this paper,deep learning methods for automatically determining cardiovascular diseases are described,and an effective preprocessing method for CT images that can be applied to improve the performance of deep learning was *** cardiac CT images include several parts of the body such as the heart,lungs,spine,and *** preprocessing step proposed in this paper divided CT image data into regions of interest and other regions using K-means clustering and the Grabcut *** compared the deep learning performance results of original data,data using only K-means clustering,and data using both K-means clustering and the Grabcut *** data used in this paper were collected at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital in Korea and the experimental test proceeded with IRB *** training was conducted using Resnet 50,VGG,and Inception resnet V2 models,and Resnet 50 had the best accuracy in validation and *** the preprocessing process proposed in this paper,the accuracy of deep learning models was significantly improved by at least 10%and up to 40%.

A scheduling algorithm with dynamic properties in mobile grid

Mobile grid is a branch of grid computing that incorporates mobile devices into the grid infrastructure. It poses new challenges because mobile devices are typically resource-constrained and exhibit unique characteristics such as instability in network connections. New scheduling strate- gies are imperative in mobile grid to efficiently utilize the devices. This paper presents a scheduling algorithm that con- siders dynamic properties of mobile devices such as avail- ability, reliability, maintainability, and usage pattern in mo- bile grid environments. In particular, usage patterns caused by voluntarily or involuntarily losing a connection, such as switching off the device or a network interruption could be important criteria for choosing the best resource to execute a job. The experimental results show that our scheduling al- gorithm provides superior performance in terms of execution time, as compared to the other methods that do not consider usage pattern. Throughout the experiments, we found it es- sential to consider usage pattern for improving performance in the mobile grid.

Tree-Based Index Overlay in Hybrid Peer-to-Peer Systems

Hybrid Peer-to-Peer （P2P） systems that construct overlay networks structured among superpeers have great potential in that they can give the benefits such as scalability, search speed and network traffic, taking advantages of superpeer-based and the structured P2P systems. In this article, we enhance keyword search in hybrid P2P systems by constructing a tree-based index overlay among directory nodes that maintain indices, according to the load and popularity of a keyword. The mathematical analysis shows that the keyword search based on semi-structured P2P overlay can improve the search performance, reducing the message traffic and maintenance costs.

Subjective visual vertical(SVV)and subjective visual horizontal(SVH)tests can be used to evaluate the perception of verticality and horizontality,respectively,and can aid the diagnosis of otolith dysfunction in clinical *** this study,SVV and SVH screen version tests are implemented using virtual reality(VR)equipment;the proposed test method promotes a more immersive feeling for the subject while using a simple equipment configuration and possessing excellent *** verify the performance of the proposed VR-based SVV and SVH tests,a reliable comparison was made between the traditional screen-based SVV and SVH tests and the proposed method,based on 30 healthy *** average results of our experimental tests on the VR-based binocular SVV and SVH equipment were−0.15◦±1.74 and 0.60◦±1.18,*** proposed VR-based method satisfies the normal tolerance for horizontal or vertical lines,i.e.,a±3◦error,as defined in previous studies,and it can be used to replace existing test methods.

Instability Parameters of Optical Oscillation Frequency in Plasma Central Discharge and Periphery Region

We have observed relaxation oscillations in a capacitive discharge in Ar gas, connected to a peripheral ground chamber. The plasma oscillations observed from time-varying optical emission from the main discharge chamber show, for example, a high frequency （75.37kHz） relaxation oscillation, at lOOmTorr and 8 W absorbed power, and a low frequency （2.72Hz） relaxation oscillation, lOO mTorr and 325 W absorbed power. Time-varying optical emission intensity and plasma density are also detected with a Langmuir probe. The theoretical result agrees well with experiments.

Envy-Free Pricing with General Supply Constraints for Unit Demand Consumers

The envy-free pricing problem can be stated as finding a pricing and allocation scheme in which each consumer is allocated a set of items that maximize his/her utility under the pricing. The goal is to maximize seller revenue. We study the problem with general supply constraints which are given as an independence system defined over the items. The constraints, for example, can be a number of linear constraints or matroids. This captures the situation where items do not pre-exist, but are produced in reflection of consumer valuation of the items under the limit of resources. This paper focuses on the case of unit-demand consumers. In the setting, there are n consumers and rn items; each item may be produced in multiple copies. Each consumer i ∈[n] has a valuation vij on item j in the set Si in which he/she is interested. He/she must be allocated （if any） an item which gives the maximum （non-negative） utility. Suppose we are given an a-approximation oracle for finding the maximum weight independent set for the given independence system （or a slightly stronger oracle）; for a large number of natural and interesting supply constraints, constant approximation algorithms are available. We obtain the following results. 1） O（αlogn）-approximation for the general case. 2） O（ακ）-approximation when each consumer is interested in at most k distinct types of items. 3） O（αf）-approximation when each type of item is interesting to at most f consumers. Note that the final two results were previously unknown even without the independence system constraint.

High and low frequency relaxation oscillations in a capacitive discharge plasma

Both high and low frequency relaxation oscillations have been observed in an argon capacitive discharge connected to a peripheral grounded chamber through a slot with dielectric spacers. The oscillations, observed from time-varying optical emission of the main discharge chamber, show, for example, a high frequency （46 kHz） relaxation oscillation at 100 mTorr, with an absorbed power near the peripheral breakdown, and a low frequency （2.7-3.7 Hz） oscillation, at a higher absorbed power. The high frequency oscillation is found to ignite a plasma in the slot, but usually not in the periphery. The high frequency oscillation is interpreted by using an electromagnetic model of the slot impedance, combined with the circuit analysis of the system including a matching network. The model is further developed by using a parallel connection of variable peripheral capacitance to analyse the low frequency oscillation. The results obtained from the model are in agreement with the experimental observations and indicate that a variety of behaviours are dependent on the matching conditions.
