Aqueous Zn-ion batteries （AZIBs） have received considerable attention owing to their various advantages such as safety,low cost,simple battery assembly conditions,and high ionic ***,they still suffer from serious problems,including uncontrollable dendrite growth,corrosion,hydrogen evolution reaction （HER） from water decomposition,electrode passivation,and unexpected *** creation of a uniform artificial nanocrystal layer on the Zn anode surface is a promising strategy for resolving these ***,we propose the use of a perovskite CaTiO3（CTO） protective layer on Zn（CTO@Zn） as a promising approach for improving the performance of *** CTO artificial layer provides an efficient pathway for Zn ion diffusion towards the Zn metal because of the high dielectric constant （εr=180） and ferroelectric characteristics that enable the alignment of dipole moments and redistribute the Zn2+ions in the CTO *** avoiding the direct contact of the Zn anode with the electrolyte solution,the uneven dendrite growth,corrosion,parasitic side reactions,and HER are mitigated,while CTO retains its mechanical and chemical robustness during ***,CTO@Zn demonstrates an improved lifespan in a symmetric cell configuration compared with bare ***@Zn shows steady overpotential （～68 m V） for 1500 h at 1 mA cm-2/0.5 mA h cm-2,excelling bare ***,when paired with the V2O5-C cathode,the CTO@Zn//V2O5-C full battery delivers 148.4 mA h g-1（based on the mass of the cathode） after 300 *** study provides new insights into Zn metal anodes and the development of high-performance AZIBs.

The characteristics of springtime aerosols,including their optical and microphysical properties,were analyzed for the months of March to May of 2009 in Gwangju（35.23°N,126.84°E）,Korea.A high Light Detection and Ranging（LIDAR）-derived aerosol depolarization ratio（δ） of 0.25 ± 0.04 was determined on dust particles during the observation ***？ngstr？m exponent values of the 440–870 nm wavelength pair（？_（440–870）） and single-scattering albedo at 675 nm（Ω_（675）） measured by a CIMEL sun/sky radiometer were 0.77 ± 0.19 and 0.95 ±0.01,*** elevated dust layers reached a maximum elevation of 4 km above sea ***/smoke particles that originated from highly populated/industrialized regions could be distinguished by their relatively smaller particle size（？_（440–870） ranged between1.33 and 1.36） and higher light-absorbing（Ω_（675） of 0.92 ± 0.01） *** aerosols are mostly distributed at altitudes 〈 1.2 *** root-mean-square deviation（RMSD） between the aerosol optical depth（AOD,τ） derived from LIDAR_（（τ_（LIDAR））） and from the CIMEL sun/sky radiometer_（（τ_（CIMEL））） varied with respect to the surface PM10 *** RMSD between τ_（LIDAR） and τ_（CIMEL） was as low as 13% under lower PM_（10） concentration levels（〈 100 μg/m^3）.In contrast,the RMSD between τ_（LIDAR） and τ_（CIMEL） increased three times（~31%） under high surface PM_（10） concentration levels（〉100 μg/m^3）.These results suggest that the accuracy of τ_（LIDAR） is influenced by specific atmospheric conditions,regardless of its uncertainty.

The objective of this paper is to quantify the local stabilities of the neck and upper extremities （right/left shoulders and right/left elbows）, and investigate differences between linear and nonlinear measurements of the associated joint motions and differences in the local stability between the upper and lower extremities. This attempt involves the calculation of a nonlinear parameter, Lyapunov Exponent （LE）, and a linear parameter, Range of Motion （ROM）, during treadmill walking in conj unction with a large population of healthy subjects. Joint motions of subjects were captured using a three-dimensional motion-capture system. Then mathematical chaos theory and the Rosenstein algorithm were employed to calculate LE of joints as the extent of logarithmic divergence between the neighboring state-space trajectories of flexion-extension angles. LEs computed over twenty males and twenty females were 0.037~0.023 for the neck, 0.043＋0.021 for the right shoulder, 0.045i0.030 for the left shoulder, 0.032i0.021 for the right elbow, and 0.034~0.026 for the left elbow. Although statistically significant difference in the ROM was observed between all pairs of the neck and upper extremity joints, differences in the LE between all pairs of the joints as well as between males and females were not statistically significant. Between the upper and lower extremities, LEs of the neck, shoulder, and elbow were significantly smaller than those of the hip （-0.064） and the knee （-0,062）. These results indicate that a statistical difference in the local stability between the upper extremity joints is not significant. However, the different result between the ROM and LE gives a strong rationale for applying both linear and nonlinear tools together to the evaluation of joint movement. Background： Cryopreservation of epididymal spermatozoa is important in cases in which it is not possible to collect semen using normal methods, as the sudden death of an animal or a catastrophic injury. However, the freezing and thawing processes cause stress to spermatozoa, including cold shock, osmotic damage, and ice crystal formation,thereby reducing sperm quality. We assessed the motility（%）, motion kinematics, capacitation status, and viability of spermatozoa using computer-assisted sperm analysis and Hoechst 33258/chlortetracycline fluorescence ***, we identified proteins associated with cryostress using a proteomic approach and performed western blotting to validate two-dimensional electrophoresis（2-DE） results using two commercial ***： Cryopreservation reduced viability（%）, motility（%）, straight-line velocity（VSL）, average path velocity（VAP）, amplitude of lateral head displacement（ALH）, and capacitated spermatozoa, whereas straightness（STR）and the acrosome reaction increased after cryopreservation（P 3 fold, P ＆lt; 0.05） before and after cryopreservation. The proteins differentially expressed following cryopreservation are putatively related to several signaling pathways, including the ephrinR-actin pathway, the ROS metabolism pathway, actin cytoskeleton assembly, actin cytoskeleton regulation,and the guanylate cyclase ***： The results of the current study provide information on epididymal sperm proteome dynamics and possible protein markers of cryo-stress during cryopreservation. This information will further the basic understanding of cryopreservation and aid future studies aiming to identify the mechanism of cryostress responses.

Most organic electrode materials(OEMs)for rechargeable batteries employ n-type redox centers,whose redox potentials are intrinsically limited<3.0 V versus Li^(+)/***,p-type materials possessing high redox potentials experience low specific capacities because they are capable of only a single redox reaction within the stable electrochemical window of typical ***,we report 5,11-diethyl-5,11-dihydroindolo[3,2-b]carbazole(DEICZ)as a novel p-type OEM,exhibiting stable plateaus at high discharge potentials of 3.44 and 4.09 V versus Li^(+)/***,the second redox potential of DEICZ is within the stable electrochemical *** mechanism of the double redox reaction is investigated using both theoretical calculations and experimental measurements,including density functional theory calculations,ex situ electron spin resonance,and X-ray photoelectron ***,hybridization with single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNT)improves the cycle stability and rate performance of DEICZ owing to theπ-πinteractions between the SWCNT and co-planar molecular structure of DEICZ,preventing the dissolution of active materials into the *** DEICZ/SWCNT composite electrode maintains 70.4%of its initial specific capacity at 1-C rate and also exhibits high-rate capability,even performing well at 100-C ***,we demonstrate its potential for flexible batteries after applying 1000 bending stresses to the composite electrode.

An integrated Plate Mill has started it’s operation on July 7, 2010 in Gwangyang Steelworks, POSCO. The production capability is about 2.5 million tons per year and the main stream consists of Blast Furnace, Hot metal pretreatment (KR), Converter, Bubbling Station, RH/VTD and Continuous Casting. Particularly, it is possible to control sulfur concentration at excellent level in BOF without any further treatment in LF or VTD, which is attained by unique KR process and scrap usage strategy in BOF. In this paper, desulfurization efficiency and steel cleanliness was introduced by optimizing flux amount during tapping in BOF process. In addition, the effect of the flux addition on the refractory of ladle was investigated based on EPMA analyses with the viewpoint of phase diagram. The cleanliness of each sample was examined using optical emission spectrometry and oxygen nitrogen determinator.

We develop a quantum key distribution (QKD) system with fast active optical path length compensation. A rapid and reliable active optical path length compensation scheme is proposed and applied to a plug-and-play QKD system. The system monitors changes in key rates and controls it is own operation automatically. The system achieves its optimal performance within three seconds of operation, which includes a sifted key rate of 5.5 kbps and a quantum bit error rate of less than 2% after an abrupt temperature variation along the 25 km quantum channel. The system also operates well over a 24 h period while completing more than 60 active optical path length compensations.

In this study,we investigated the preventive effects of emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL,which was newly developed to reduce the injection volume and number of injection holes required to protect against pine wood *** of the Pinus thunbergii trees injected with emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL at 0.3 mL/cm diameter at breast height(DBH)died within 2 years of inoculation with pine wood *** benzoate 9.7%SL injected at 0.6 mL/cm DBH resulted in no tree mortality for 3 *** residue of emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL in pine twigs injected with 0.3 mL/cm DBH was 0.490μg/g at 1 year after injection and 0.303μg/g after 2 *** residues values are greater than 0.031μg/g,previously determined IC95 value for emamectin benzoate against the pine wood *** field experiment and residue analysis showed that emamectin benzoate 9.7%SL could be a substitute agent for emamectin benzoate 2.15%EC,which is widely used to prevent pine wood nematode in the field and that injection volume and number of injection holes can be greatly educed using this new formulation,which will reduce injury to the cambium,interruption of water movement,and infection of inoculation wounds by wood-decay or blue stain fungi.
