The present study area,Dadra and Nagar Haveli,contains several lineaments and traces of active *** various aspect of the geomo rphic analysis,i.e.,stream length(SL) gradient,hypsometric integral(HI),basin shape(BS),valley floor(VF),have been applied to evaluate the relative index of active tectonics(RIAT) of the Damanganga *** high and low zones of tectonic activity have been identified based on the geomorphic analysis of the *** evaluation of all indices,three classes,class IIhigh(1.3 ≤RIAT <1.5),class Ⅲ-moderate(1.5 ≤RIAT <1.8),and class Ⅳ-low(1.8 ≤RIAT),have been obtained to outline the degree/gradation of comparative tectonic activities in the study *** appraised outcome of the RIAT dispersal is also well reinforced by the geomorphic evidence in the *** collective outcomes of geomorphic evidence,such as stream deflection and analysis of lineament,deflection of streams,and geomorphic indices,conceal that the Damanganga watershed is affected by tectonic activity.

The high frequency decay parameter κ has been considered as one of the important parameters required in the simulation of earthquake strong ground motions necessary for the proper evaluation of seismic hazard of a region. The present study estimated “κ” for the highly seismic active region of North East India. The spectral analysis of 598 accelerograms of 32 earthquakes has been done using [1] approach for this purpose. The average values of “κ” have been found to be 0.049, 0.047 and 0.040 for L-, T- and V-component respectively. The distance dependence of κ is not significant in the region. The κ 0 (κ at R = 0) for soft rock stations is found to be more than those of hard rock sites in consistent with other similar studies. The correlation between “κ” and earthquake magnitude at most of the stations for the region under study is not significant which indicates that κ depends on the site conditions in the region. The κ values estimated in the present study are useful for the evaluation of seismic hazard of the region.

Breast cancer(BC)is the most common heterogeneous disease in women and one of the leading causes of cancer-related ***,chemotherapy,radiotherapy,hormone,and targeted therapy are the gold standards for BC *** of the significant challenges during the treatment of BC represents resistance to chemotherapeutics,resistance that severely limits the use and effectiveness of the drugs used for BC ***,it is essential to develop new strategies to improve therapeutic *** RNAs(circRNAs)are a large group of non-coding RNAs that covalently form closed circular loops by joining their 5′,and 3′;*** evidence suggests that circRNAs have a vital role in cancer development,progression,and BC resistance to *** purpose of this review is to discuss the biological properties of circRNAs,and how circRNAs induce resistance to conventional therapeutic anti-cancer drugs used in BC treatment,by emphasizing and summarizing the potential roles of circRNAs in mechanisms of drug resistance,such as drug efflux,apoptosis dysfunction,autophagy,and DNA damage *** are associated with drug resistance via ATP-binding cassette(ABC)efflux transporters,while some others by inhibition of cell apoptosis,thus leading to resistance to tamoxifen in BC *** contrast,others are involved in the promotion of BC cells chemoresistance by doxorubicininduced *** may have clinical significance in regulating or overcoming BC drug resistance and may give directions towards a novel approach to personalized BC *** may significantly contribute to the identification of new therapeutic targets for the prevention of BC chemoresistance.

Primary rectal lymphoma is a rare presentation of gastrointestinal lymphomas. Its clinical presentation is indistinguishable from that of rectal carcinoma. Although surgical resection is often technically feasible, optimal therapy for colorectal lymphoma has not yet been *** report a case of primary rectal lymphoma (nonHodgkin's large cell lymphoma of type B) with high-grade features that disappeared completely after chemoradiotherapy. This case underlines that primary treatment with systemic chemotherapy and involved-field radiotherapy can be successful for rectal lymphoma, with surgery reserved for complications and chemotherapy failures.

Progressive Symmetrical Erythrokeratoderma-Like Psoriasis: A New Case Report

Background: Psoriasis, a chronic, systemic, inflammatory disease with prominent skin involvement, affects approximately 2% - 4% of the world population. Common variants of psoriasis are plaque psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, pustular form either palmoplantar pustular psoriasis or generalized pustular psoriasis, nail psoriasis, and psoriatic arthritis. Progressive Symmetrical Erythrokeratoderma (PSEK) is a rare genetic disorder, characterized by fixed, well-defined erythematous and hyperkeratotic plaques distributed predominantly on the elbows, knees, trunk, and dorsal surfaces of hands and feet. Clinically has the same presentation to psoriasis especially at early onset and could be confused with psoriasis but histopathological findings and progression of the psoriatic disease can differentiate between both conditions. Aim: To document a new variant of a severe, recalcitrant type of psoriasis with a history of recurrent attacks of exacerbations and partial remissions especially in lesions involving lower extremities that are clinically PSEK-like in presentation, but histopathologically consistent with psoriasis. Case report: A 12-year-old childhood male, known case of Down’s syndrome, presented to our clinic with a history of severely pruritic skin rashes involving the perioral area, corners of the mouth, bilateral elbows, dorsal hands, scrotum, and both lower extremities for 6 years duration. The rashes gradually progressed with time to form fixed lesions in the last 2 years. He was received multiple treatment modalities, including topical steroids, topical vitamin D derivatives, and narrowband UVB phototherapy without significant improvement and the lesions became more worsened over time. Treatment of Incidental Prostate Cancer Diagnosed during BPH Surgery with Radical Prostatectomy: Appropriate or over Treatment?

Objective: Prostate cancer is detected in pathology specimens in 3% - 16% of patients undergoing Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) surgery. There is no consensus about the optimal treatment plan for these patients. In this study, T1a,b and T1c patients were compared oncologically and in terms of operative morbidity. Materials and Methods: This study included 54 patients (Group 1) undergoing RP based on the detection of incidental prostate cancer and 54 patients (Group 2) undergoing RP based on the diagnosis of carcinoma by biopsy in three different centers. The parameters that may affect the recurrence were investigated and compared between the two groups. Additionally, patient complaints after RP such as stress urinary incontinence, lower urinary tract symptoms and erectile dysfunction were evaluated according to questionnaires and were compared between the groups and within the group in which incidental carcinoma was identified. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 15. Results: The mean age of the patients was 63.8 years (range 51 - 78 years) with a mean follow up of 60.4 months (range 12 - 82 months). There were statistical differences in age (p = 0.036), pre-RP PSA (p < 0.001) and pre-RP prostate volume (p < 0.001) between Group 1 and Group 2. Despite the absence of a statistically significant difference in PSM between the two groups (p = 0.09), ECE was more common in Group 2 patients (p = 0.014). None of the patients with T1a disease had biochemical recurrence which was observed in 9 patients (27.3%) with stage T1b disease (p = 0.007). There were significant differences in Gleason scores in BPH specimens and RP specimens, PSM, ECE and T stages between the two subgroups. The assessment of the morbidities that are likely to affect the quality of life by questionnaires revealed that there were no significant differences between Group 1 and Group 2 however significant differences were noted in the erection quality between the subgroups (p = 0.006). This study reports a 69-year-old, obese, female patientpresenting with a biliary leakage after laparoscopiccholecystectomy for cholelithiasis. Closure of the um-bilical trocar site had been neglected during the lapa-roscopic cholecystectomy. Early, on postoperative dayfive, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) requirement after laparoscopic cholecystectomyresolved the biliary leakage problem but resulted with amore complicated clinical picture with an intestinal ob-struction and severe abdominal pain. Computed tomog-raphy revealed a strangulated hernia from the umbilicaltrocar site. Increased abdominal pressure during ERCPhad strained the weak umbilical trocar site. Emergencysurgical intervention through the umbilicus revealed anischemic small bowel segment which was treated withresection and anastomosis. This report demonstratesthat negligence of trocar site closure can result in veryearly herniation, particularly if an endoscopic interven-tion is required in the early postoperative period.
